Gajeel's lungs were collapsing.
The pressure in his chest was pushing what little air he had left out of him. The dark water had completely taken his sight from him. He could not see except for silhouettes. Gajeel fought passed his rising panic and continued his assault to bang his fist into the Demon's skull.
The Demon who was steadily bringing him further down into the darkness and away from the light and precious air. The shark like Demon's teeth were still ripping into the Slayer's leg and its teeth were getting closer and closer to Gajeel's bone. He couldn't afford to have his leg snapped in two. So he still found his will to fight. To try and win. To get free.
Like all of his previous attempts this one too was met with failure. What a shitty way to go. Gajeel thought grimly. Drowned. Gihihi, by an enemy too! If he had enough energy to do so, he would have given himself a good hit to the face. The great Black Steel Gajeel would be brought down by a...damned...fish.
Gajeel's thoughts began to fade away along with his perception on reality. In the back of his decaying mind he hoped that Levy had gotten out while he had been fish bait. A shrimp like her didn't deserve to die by suffocation.
Faintly his delusional mind thought it saw a dark, small shape swimming toward him. With it the shape brought light. Nah, Gajeel numbly thought. The silhouette wasn't bringing light.
The shape was made out of light.
And that light was coming toward him, it was reaching for him, and then...Gajeel felt warmth spread across his lips.
With the startling warmth came air and the Slayer sucked it up greedily. He felt power and awareness start to come back to him. It was nothing like eating iron but breathing was high on his list of most important things. When Gajeel's crimson eyes fluttered open the warmth had already left and he was cold again. He immediately had to slam his eyes back closed when a sudden blinding orange light flared in front of his eyes.
At that exact same second the pressure on his leg disappeared along with the light. His forced his eyes to once again snap open against the force of the water. What he saw nearly took his breath away.
And not in a good way.
Because there was Shrimp.
A fine orange glow fading away from the two fingers on her right hand. A smile was steadily coming to her face, lighting up her hazel eyes that were filled with relief. And coming up right behind her was Torafuzar, jaw impossible wide, and razor sharp teeth on display ready to tear into flesh. Levy's flesh.
In that moment underneath the still, dark water, Gajeel felt fear.
With a powerful kick of his legs, Gajeel shot through the water, grabbed Levy around her waist, and roughly yanked her away from the Demon's jaws just as he snapped them closed. An enraged growl rumbled through the Slayer's chest as he raised his iron clad arm high above his head. Then brought it down with all of his power, roaring, "Hands off!"
His fist slammed into Torafuzar's skull and deeper. The snap of bone was duller in the water, but Gajeel heard it as the Demon's body began to sink deeper and deeper into the dark depths of the toxic water that Gajeel and Levy had dominated.

Laxus, breathing ragged breaths that burned his lungs, watched as the Demon who created storms fell dead at his feet. The Lightning Dragon Slayer stumbled, blood pouring free from his jaws. Nevertheless he found himself smirking. Because he had won. His team had won. It did not matter how many wounds he suffered, how many scars he gained, the only thing that mattered is that he had protected Fairy Tail.
A weak voice that called out his name drew his attention. Freed, the only team member conscious, was looking past his leader with wide, scared eyes. Confusion swiftly swept through Laxus as he looked behind him, where the Demon's body lay. Only to suck in a sharp breath as the enemy's body quickly began to melt away and release swirling black mist into the air.
Laxus' heart pounded as the stench of rotting bodies and death met his nose. Then he was doubling over as a coughing fit racked his body. He slammed his hand over his mouth and nose to block out the rancid odor. The Tartaros Demon had released a toxin into the air prior to his death. Laxus jerked around to see the mist eating the pure air around them. Soon the lethal poison would cover the whole Kingdom, killing his comrades, the people, his family.
The Dragon Slayer's eyes narrowed. He wouldn't allow it.
Laxus spread his legs wide, threw back his head, ignored Freed's frantic shouts of his name, and opened his mouth wide. Laxus Dreyar inhaled.

All of Erza's senses had been stolen. She couldn't see. Couldn't feel. Couldn't taste or hear. Couldn't fight back! What she did not lose was her body's ability to feel pain. In fact it was heightened. Kyouka's blows seemed to come faster and harder. Each hit felt like a hot fire poker being cruelly jammed into her body.
Erza was fading and fast. I'm sorry, she whimpered in her mind as she slowly fell after a particularly harsh blow. I could not stay to fight beside you all...
A warm voice broke through the hazy, cold wall in her mind. A voice belonging to a friend. "You don't die for you friends," the voice echoed in her mind. "You live for them!" Her body started to react to the voice. She was waking up. "Erza!"
Erza's eyes snapped open. The white surrounding her pupils was a nasty shade of pink and they burned horribly. She still couldn't see, she still couldn't feel, or hear, but she didn't need all those things. All Erza needed was the knowledge that no matter where her friends may be, they would always be right beside her. Telling her to move forward. Encouraging her to keep fighting.
And that, Erza brought her sword close to her head, the sharp tip facing her enemy's direction, is exactly what she was going to do. With a battle cry that she couldn't hear, she lunged forward, and Erza's katana sank into flesh.

Wendy's world stopped when a flash of white fur zipped by her horrified face. The Dragon Slayer's beloved Exceed, Carla, threw her small body against Ezel's jaw. The Demon shook his large head as he glared at the flying cat. The white cat hissed and slashed her claws in the air. Warning the Demon to stay away from her Slayer.
Quick as a snake, he jerked his head forward, and snapped his jaws shut around Carla. Wendy's heart stopped as a pitiful whimper came from her trembling lips. "C-Carla?" Blood dropped from Ezel's chin and landed onto the small Dragon Slayer's cheek.
Ezel smiled.
Wendy snapped.
She let out a ferocious roar that hurt the Demon's ears. Wendy snarled as she clenched her hands into fists. She threw back her head and smashed her skull against her enemy's. Ezel's head jerked back as pain blinded him. Wendy wiggled free and launched herself at the Demon that had taken her friend from her.
The enraged Dragon Slayer let out a growl as she broke the Demon's jaw in half. Ezel's jaw dropped open and out came Carla. Her flank had been badly torn into but she would be fine. Wendy would heal her as soon as she took care of her enemy.
Wendy flashed forward, sucked in a large breath of air, and released it in a swirling storm of air.
"Sky Dragon's; Roar!" She screamed, her roar hit into Ezel who crashed into the dirt. Wendy landed on top of him and dealt out a series of devastating blows to the face. Each hit succeeded in breaking a different bone in the Demon's face.
Over and over she hit him until her fists were scratched raw. Over and over she dealt out a blow until Ezel's eyes slid shut and his breathing became shallower and shallower...then his heart stopped. Wendy fell back and landed on the ground as her vision faded away. Then it was Wendy's heart that slowed down as its owner blacked out with her Exceed at her side.

Mira's eyes snapped open just in time to roll out of the way of Sayla's rapidly falling body. The Demon's feet struck the ground where Mira had been a moment ago. If she hadn't moved, she would have been crushed like the rubble underneath Sayla's feet.
Sayla stood up straight like a puppet who's strings just got pulled. "All Fairy Tales," she hummed ominously as she looked at MiraJane with dead eyes. "Must come to an end." Sayla was in Mira's face before the last word left her lips. The Demon slapped Mira across the face hard enough to crack her neck to the side.
The Fairy Tail Mage leaped back with a flap of her wings. Mira spun and cracked her tail harshly along Sayla's face. The she Demon groaned at the pain and put a hand to her face. Only for skin to fall away. Mira had cracked her face in half. Sayla let out an angry growl as she lunged toward Mira, blinded by bloodlust.
"All Fairy Tales come to an end, huh?" Mira hissed, snapping her tail forward and hitting her enemy's legs. Sayla crumbled to the ground with an enraged howl. Mira splayed out her wings and gave them a hard flap. She flew high into the sky until the moon was at her back.
Mira tucked in her wings, turned her face to the ground, and let herself free fall. Half way to the ground Mira closed her piercing blue eyes, let out a breath, and snapped her eyes open. They dilated just as she straightened, cocked back her arm, and let her fist fly with a roar.
The small explosion that followed right after MiraJane buried her fist into Sayla's shocked face brought with it words spoken softly by the Fairy Tail Mage herself.
"Not this Fairy Tale."

Juvia was being slowly crushed.
Her bones cracked underneath her skin. Her skull was slowly caving in on itself. Her lungs were collapsing. Juvia feared that her bones would be crushed to dust. Her breathing became erratic as she fought against the round sphere that entrapped her.
Juvia was going to suffocate and get crushed into nothing. Frustrated tears flooded her eyes. Fear squeezed her rapidly beating heart. She-she didn't want to die. Juvia still needs to-
No. No! She would not die. She would not die! Not when she still had something to say. The will to win filled her up to the brim. Juvia started to expand herself and-
"If you should kill me," Keyes' first words seared into her mind. "You will be bringing Sliver Fullbuster down with me." Fullbuster...? Gray-Sama's...dads alive?
Juvia's eyes widened-
Keyes slammed his Curse that made up the sphere shut, destroying the Mage inside. The Demon's stitched mouth pulled into a smile that must have caused him some pain. Little droplets of water dripped from between the little openings in his Curse. All that remained of the Water Woman.
The water suddenly rushed towards Keyes and came together all at once. Juvia Lockser emerged from the water with tears in her blazing eyes. She quickly wrapped herself around Keyes' throat and body. The Demon struggled against Juvia that had cleverly made her body into strong, watery restraints. The Water Mage tightened her hold on her enemy even as tears slid down her translucent cheeks.
"I'm sorry," she sobbed. "Gray-Sama!"
In the end, it was Juvia her crushed her enemy into dust...at a horrible price.

"I'm Sliver Fullbuster, your father."
That was all the Ice Devil Slayer got to say before the hold that Keyes had on him faded away. The empty husk of a body that had housed Sliver's trapped soul fell limply to the snowy ground. Gray's breath halted in his bruised chest as this information slammed into him.
His head was spinning, the world titled. Gray couldn't even find the energy to cry. Cry over the farther he never knew. Cry over the farther that he had just found and just as soon lost. Gray numbly went over to his fallen dad and gently laid his shaking hand on his dad's shoulder. A scream erupted from the Ice Mage as an agonizing bolt of electricity burned his arm.
Gray jerked back and fell into the snow, clutching his throbbing arm. Strange, dark symbols appeared on his arm. He blinked down at them in amazement and confusion. Then, it all became so much clearer when his farther left one last message for his son.
You must kill E.N.D.

With a hoarse cry Loke was blown back. His charred body rolled harshly along the ground, rocks digging into his already sensitive body. His glasses flew away from his face, the flashing lenses shattered upon impact on the ground. The small glass went in different directions as their owner's broken body came to a stop.
Loke grimaced and coughed blood. His suit had been badly torn and shredded into ribbons. At least two of his ribs had been crushed along with his left arm. He wasn't sure but he thought he had lost one of his eyes. Loke was too afraid to check.
The scraping of claws against dirt warned him of the dangerous creature coming towards him. Loke swiped the blood away from his lips as he forced himself to stand. Only to get the breath taken from him when Jackal smashed his foot into Loke's stomach. Lucy's guard fell and did not get back up. No matter how much he struggled. No matter how much he urged himself to stand...to protect his Lady...he just couldn't.
Loke was too broken.
Too beat.
Too weak.
Loke had been defeated.
Jackal let out a howl of laughter, amused by the lack of fighting spirit these Fairies possessed. "What? That's it?" Jackal barked, digging the heel of his foot into Loke's already broken ribs. "Mard Geer promised me that this would be fun!" The Demon scoffed as golden light engulfed his fist. "Oh well," he hummed, bringing his hand painfully slowly towards Loke's busted face.
"I guess you can't always get what you want." Jackal grinned madly. "Scream loudly for me when the fires of Hell burn you, k?"
A crack cut through the air and Jackal's head went snapping to the side. A thin trail of blood slid down his temple as he looked curiously up. Lucy Heartfilia stood confidently before him. Whip held taut and at the ready. Twelve sharp throwing knives that shined like gold were attached to a brown leather belt that lined her hip. Her eyes were burning brightly, a new fire had been brought to life.
"Step away." Lucy demanded smoothly. Her small dog, Plue snarled out a warning. Her dog had been the one who had run back to the castle to get her whip and her mother's throwing knives. Jackal bared his fangs at the little dog who's shaking increased. Lucy glanced down at her loyal dog and flicked her head slightly. Plue let out a whine. He did not wish to leave his Master with this creature.
Lucy smiled down at Plue and reluctantly he wandered off. It had all been shining in Lucy's eyes. She did not want Plue to get hurt. The Princess turned back to Jackal who was smirking even as his blood ran down his face. "Well, well," he hummed, taking a step forward. "The Kingdom will weep when they learn that I sent their Princess to Hell's Gates."
Lucy gritted her teeth, her eyes shining. "You have tasted my whip once." She lashed her whip in the air. "Come and get your fill."
Jackal smiled a smile belonging to the Devil.
Lucy readied herself, her whip at the ready to launch, and her free hand ghosting over her Mother's throwing knives.
Jackal's hands began to glow just as Lucy threw a knife. It sailed forward just as the Demon leaped. The golden knife barely scratched his cheek.
Then he was there.
Inches away.
His eyes wild with madness as he reached forward, his finger's encased in his deadly Curse.
Time seemed to slow as Lucy desperately tried to dodge-
Jackal's fingers brushed her leg.
Lucy inhaled-
Jackal grinned-
BOOM!
