Another summer in Gravity Falls after three years, Three years after what happened during Weirdmageddon or Bill Cipher's doings. Dipper and Mabel are currently sixteen years old. Dipper's nose was buried in an ordinary book as Mabel began to knit her aweaters for their grunkles who have they longed to meet. Waddles, her pig, was always by her side, comfortably sleeping.
"Hey Bro-Bro, aren't you excited?" Mabel asked her twin.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be? I mean, new summer, new friends, new adventures and a whole lot of new mysteries." Dipper retorted, quirking a brow. Why would she ask that? Has she forgotten that every single day, Dipper has been reminding her of how excited he is to visit Gravity Falls more?
"And new romances! Huh? Huh?" Mabel wiggled her eyebrows as she nudged on Dipper's elbow.
"What do you mean by that?"
"What I'm sayin' is.." Mabel bit her gums, elbowing her brother. "Wendy might fall in love with you, y'know, since you're a bit..older."
Dipper scoffed as he tilted his head up to see Mabel. "Mabel, Wendy's nineteen and I'm sixteen. Plus, I'm all over Wendy, and I'm not even bothering for any relationships lately."
"Uhuh? You're just sayin' that 'cause you're keeping it a secret."
Dipper rolled his eyes and checked Mabel's bag which was next to his, he turned. "Hey Mabel, are you sure that everything in your stuff is complete?"
"Yep. Pretty sure got everything packed up." Mabel popped "p" as she creased a grin, "How about you? You brought your baby powder, right? It must be in a big container or the rashes on your back will get more intense!" She finally turned to him, still knitting though.
Dipper felt embarrassed that he blushed, "Oh, come on, Mabel. We promised that we're not suppose to talk about that in public." He whispered as he lowered the visor of his cap, covering the portion of his face.
But Mabel lifted his cap by flicking her finger, "Oh come on, Dipster! It's what twins do! You can't change it."
"Yeah. Yeah. Sure, whatever." Dipper rolled his eyes, burying his nose back to his book once more. Pine Tree.. a chilling voice echoed inside of the kid's head, spooking him. He shooked it away and turned to his sister, "Uhm, Mabel. Do you ever wonder if..maybe, Bill's still alive?"
Mabel froze. Then bursted out laughing, "Are you serious?! That evil triangle will never come back! We made sure of it."
"Yeah, but what if he does?" Dipper stated uncomfortably.
"Oh, you're being delusional, Dipper. This summer, we'll never see that triangle guy." Mabel focused on her knitting, not minding Dipper's audible sigh.
He closed his book shut and shoved it in his backpack, looking at the window as he sadly whispered, "I hope.." Once the bus made it to Oregon's Gravity Falls, parking right in front of the Mystery Shack's estate, Mabel squealed.
"Gravity Falls, here we come!" Mabel cried out as she headed to the bus' door, "Make way, people! Girl and a pig here! Whoop, 'cuse me!" Waddles was following behind her.
"I don't know her. I don't know her." Dipper said to the passengers as he passes them (get it?). The teen's foot landed back on ground as the bus behind him drove away. He looked up to examine the shack. It was still the same, nothing has even changed except he can't see the unicorn hair that Stanford and him implaced back three years ago.
Mabel, on the other hand, wandered her eyes around and immediately spotted their grunkles. She purposely dropped her things, not caring about them and ran to the Stan Twins. Dipper chuckled at Mabel's antics, but then spotted Waddles walking towards the forest. He followed behind him a few steps away, "Whoa, there, pig. Where do you think you're goin'?" He grabbed his sister's things while catching up to Waddles. The forest went darker as he walked dipper (Deeper: Dipper, ahaha. Alright, I'll stop bothering you guys.) The pig froze as Dipper promptly paused as well. He kneeled down to pet him, "Whoa, piggy. How does Mabel even know where you always wander anyway? You're almost..nowhere to be found."
The pig oinked as tilted his head up. Dipper did the same. He saw the Cipher statue, which caused him to startle and flopped on ground, snickering away in horror. He stared at it fearfully, "How in the--"
Before him, was the page of how to summon the demon. How did this get here? I thought Bill destroyed every single page? He parsed at it before he heard a sudden voice inside his head, That's what you thought, Pine Tree..
"Huh? Who said that?" Dipper scanned the area but saw no one except the pig, he kneeled down back at Waddles again. "Did you say something?" He questioned him idiotically but Waddles' response was a simple oink. "Oh come on, who am I kidding? He's dead." He picked up Waddles and smiled, "Come on, pig. Let's get you back to Mabel."
They headed back to the shack, meeting up with Mabel who looked furious. She gasped, "Dipper, how are you steal my Waddles from me?!"
"What?! Why would I even--"
Mabel snatched her pet from Dipper's arms and huffed, "Come on, Waddles! Let's go!" She rushed inside the shack with the pig in her arms as Dipper rolled his eyes.
A hand clamped on his shoulder, prompting him to startle and stick to defense mode. "Who is it?! Have you come to steal my eyes?!"
"Wow, warm welcome for your great-uncles, kid." And it clicked him, it was actually Stan and Ford. Ford was blinking, while Stan folded his arms with a stern look.
"S-Sorry, I thought you were someone who wanted to hurt me.." Dipper rubbed his nape as he laughed sheepishly.
"Well, how tall have you grown. The last time I saw you, Mabel was taller than you." What Stan said made Dipper frown.
"Hey, I'm the alpha twin now. Not Mabel." Dipper folded his arms.
"Nah, I'm just kiddin', kiddo." Stan ruffled dipper's hair then left. Dipper frowned a bit cause stan still thinks he's a kid. He fixed his hair as ford pulled out a book then handed it to him. "What--- what is this?" Dipper asks as he took the book then gazed at it. The cover was blue. It had a silver pine tree designed in the middle. The book was empty. "Dipper. Remember the time when i told you that you could someday write a journal like mine?" Ford asks as he putted a hand on his nephew's shoulder. Ford sented letters to dipper everyday. Telling him what happened everyday and deciding if he would re-write the journals once again after bill destroyed them.
"Y-yeah. Wait. You want me to write a journal?!"
"Yes. Dipper. I want you to be the new author of the journals. Plus promise me that you won't make the same mistake as i did. So what do you say? Up for being the new author?" What ford said touched dipper as a smile twitched on his lips. "I accept. Great-uncle ford. I promise that i won't do the same mistake as you did."
Ford smiled at his nephew and says. "Remember dipper. Don't make the same mistake as i did."
"Yes grunkle ford and i'll promise that i'll make the journal special!"
"Okay. Me and stanley are going to pay a visit on my old friend. Fiddleford mcgucket. So have fun on writing and discoverying! And you may wanna discover the mysteries with your sister too." Ford left as dipper's heart was screaming for excitement. He runned inside the shack to see mabel. "Hey mabel. Here's your bag." Dipper stated handing out mabel's bag that she just drop after she saw stan and ford a while ago. Mabel took the bag then says. "Oh glob! Dipper! You can't believe it. I have a crush!"
Dipper rolled his eyes. Same old mabel. And same old pine tree. He shook the voice out of his head. "Who is it now mabel?"
"Just a mystery guy." Mabel smiled sweetly. "You don't know his name do you?"
"Yup. It's gobblongkers! I don't even know his name!" Mabel freaked out as she gripped on his brother's collar then began shaking him while screaming on his ear. "Mabel! Have you ever even talked to him?" Dipper asked putting his sister's hands away from his collar. "That's--- not excatly a bad idea. Thanks dipper!" Dipper stopped mabel by grabbing her wrist. "Hey mabel. What do you say we go on a mystery hunt together? And guess what? I'm the new author of the journals!" Dipper said in an excited tone. Mabel squealed. "Oh gosh! I'm so proud of you!! But sorry. I promised the girls that they'll help me flirt with the guy i like. How about this afternoon?" Mabel questioned. "Yeah. Sure." Dipper answered. Mabel left. Soos appeared. "Sup dude? Anyways. Where are ya gonna stay? Which room excatly? The attic? You and mabel's old room? The livin' room? Or probably somewhere in the shack?" Soos asked.
"Umm. Well i'm okay if i stay in the attic. It's the perfect place for me to be alone." Dipper answered. Dipper departed upstairs as he slunged his bag on his shoulder. The attic was a bit clean. Thanks to melody and soos' cleaning. Then he recodnized that the window looked familiar. Triangle. Eye. But it was color red. And no arms and the legs. Dipper sighed. "Hmm. How didn't realized that this was here the whole time." Dipper stated lookin' at the window which was close. Well it was always closed.
That's what you think pine tree..
Dipper gripped his longish brown hair. He's not alive. He's not alive. Think again dipper
Just. Get. Out. Of. My. Head.
The voice disappeared. Dipper pulled out the page that had the ancient words of how to summon bill. He sighed as he placed the paper behind his new journal's cover. Whatever. He's just inside my head. He's just an illusion inside my head. He's not real.
