Chapter 7: Caught

He shouldn't be surprised nor should he allow his pain to envelope his heart because it was expected. Why would she have walked down the aisle towards him when she was trying desperately to end it? Yet, he was hurt and all he could do was muster a fake smile and comfort himself with thoughts that she deserved to be free.

There was chaos everywhere. People were already talking about the runaway bride and nothing was going to stop them except new gossip, but this one was worse than usual gossip because this time it was their reputation on the line, and he had to find a solution.

Dante walked towards his mother who was already engrossed in a conversation with Cecilia's parents.

"Leave her," Dante stated out of the blue, startling everyone with his presence.

"We have to know if she is safe," Layla argued worriedly.

"This wouldn't be happening if you guys didn't force her," Dante replied sternly. "I'm sure she is fine wherever she is, so stop worrying."

"That's our daughter, how can we not?" Zack asked, stressed out.

"Then you should have thought about that before," He huffed out, then walked away to get himself a drink.

It wasn't the best plan and he knew he would regret it when the sun shined, but as he sat in his room alone with the only company of the alcohol bottle, it didn't sound bad. After all, at least he didn't have to think about her for a night.

***************

"What are you talking about?" Jeongguk scoffed, composing himself.

"You going to work out and I figure it out," Cecilia smiled brightly as if she had just won the lottery.

"Good for you," Jeongguk said, rolling his eyes. He was going to leave when her words stopped him once again.

"You are open book you know," Cecilia stated while making herself comfortable on the gym floor.

"What do you mean?" Jeongguk questioned as this was the first time someone had said that. The members took time to open him up and even now they had problems understanding him, yet it seemed like the girl that smiled back at him acted like she knew him like the back of her hand.

"After eat, you looked down as if you beating yourself up," Cecilia told him while remembering her own memories that she had locked away.

Jeongguk froze up again not knowing what to say. How was it possible? Was he not good enough at building his walls anymore? Had he become weak? He shook his head.

"Just leave me alone," Jeongguk replied, walking away.

I guess you won't stop, will you? Cecilia thought, biting her lips in worry.

She followed him inside, but made sure to keep a distance. If she was here, might as well work out as well.

The gym was huge and full of different equipment she had never used. Yes, she worked out, but she never went to an actual gym. Cecilia scanned the area in hope to find anything she was familiar with, and found the treadmill.

"This should be easy...right?"She asked herself while looking at the controls. "I have used this...but not this model."

Cecilia started pressing random buttons in an attempt to get it started, but it wouldn't budge.

Jeongguk couldn't help but watch Cecilia struggling to start it. It was pretty hard to ignore even though he was stretching at the end of the room, far away from her. Then, Jeongguk saw her press the speed button and lost it.

Is she trying to get herself killed? Jeongguk thought, deciding to help her before she ended up killing herself.

Cecilia finally found out how to start it and how she wished at that moment she didn't because the speed was too high for her to balance herself. Her feet slipped and she yelped out falling backwards.

There was a thud alright, but it wasn't what she expected. Instead of landing on the gym floor, she was on top of Jeongguk, who groaned in pain.

Get up! she mentally yelled at herself. She couldn't help, but lose herself for a moment.

His muscles contracted underneath her and she could feel his ragged breathing. His hair was completely on his eyes and she had to stop herself from etching closer to him and gently removing his luscious black hair off his face.

"Joesonghabnida (I'm sorry)," Cecilia quickly got off him, once she snapped out of the trance.

She could feel her heart pounding irregularly and she was sure a blush had already decorated her skin.

"Gwaenchanhayo (it's okay)," Jeongguk replied, noticing her flushed state. "Do you still need help with that?"

"Ye (Yes) If you don't mind," Cecilia said, looking down.

Jeongguk went up to the treadmill and explained to her everything. Cecilia nodded in response and asked about the things she wasn't sure of. It was their first normal conversation, and it felt so nice to just talk instead of firing at each other.

**********

"Okay, so we just have to sneak in and tip toe into our rooms," Jeongguk told her.

"Why are being so careful again?" Cecilia questioned, confused why Jeongguk was acting like that.

"You have no idea how they are," Jeongguk explained. "One minute they are sleeping and the other minute one of them is watching T.V while the other is drinking water."

"Got it," Cecilia answered while Jeongguk opened the hotel room.

It was pitch black indicating that it was safe to move, so they both ushered to their rooms not realizing the sly smile on Taehyung's face.

In the morning, it was time to head to the airport, so no one had said anything to each other except the usual accusation of you took my thing.

They had decided to disguise the girls as their managers for now, so no one would ask any questions and thankfully they managed to get into the plane without anyone noticing too much.

"So Cecilia, did Jeongguk finally make it up to you by taking you out?" Taehyung asked with a smirk.

Cecilia, who had been enjoying her food, choked and quickly grabbed the glass of water, gulping it down in me go.

"What?" she asked, her eyes watering from earlier.

"You don't have to lie," Taehyung said while smiling. "I saw you both enter the house at like 6 am."

"They were out that late," Jin stated, unable to believe it.

"Surprising right?" Taehyung asked.

"You were clearly hallucinating hyung because I was in my room sleeping the whole time," Jeongguk replied, hoping that Taehyung would buy it.

"Want me to prove it Jk?" Taehyung questioned.

"There is nothing to prove," Jeongguk stated confidently.

Taehyung took out his phone and showed them the mini video of the two entering the house.

"Still lying?" Taehyung asked. "Somehow even Eira doesn't seem so shocked. Did you know?"

Jeongguk stared at the video unable to believe what Taehyung had just done.

"Fine, we were out," Cecilia admitted, a blush forming on her cheeks. "But, not on purpose."

"Interesting," Taehyung said. "Continue."

"We were both at the grocery store and met each other there and since we couldn't sleep, we decided to just talk for a while," Cecilia stated, hoping that they would not catch on to the lie.

"Awww , that's so sweet, " Jimin said. "You guys have finally settled out your differences."

"Yeah," Jeongguk said, glad that it was finally over.

Eira looked at Cecilia.

Cecilia sighed, preparing herself for the conversation ahead.

"I can't believe you guys did all of that," Eira whispered.

"I can't either and I hope it never happens," Cecilia whispered back.

"Are you joking with me?" Eira asked. "This is amazing. You get to be friends with The Jeon Jeongguk."

"I don't want that," Cecilia sighed. "It hurts too much."

"It's going to be okay," Eira comforted, understanding completely.

Cecilia smiled and they decided to end their conversation.

Everyone was asleep in the plane except her, so she decided to write. Her feelings were getting the best of her, and she didn't know how long she would be able to hold it in.

She grabbed a pen and closed her eyes.

"I'll be okay," she comforted herself and brought down the pen, writing down whatever felt right at the moment.

*Her new work in the plane*

Dear Pied Piper,

Why are you here?

Why are you so close to me?

You are everything I imagined and more

I hate these feelings you churned inside of me

I push and you lure

I forget and you make me remember

Somehow, I can't stop myself for liking these feelings

Because darling, you are my first love

And seeing you slip will soon break me

So, please let me go

But, please don't let me go

*Ends*

Cecilia couldn't help but stare at him as she wrote those last words, ending her poem and smiling as tears fell down.

*********

"Lia," Eira called out. "Wake up, we are here."

Cecilia hummed in response.

"Cecilia!!" Eira yelled as she noticed Cecilia closing her eyes once again.

"I'm up, I'm up," Cecilia replied, rubbing her eyes slightly.

"Is that?" Eira asked.

"Yeah," Cecilia replied, quickly putting it in her bag.

The girls followed the members outside the jet and into the airport.

Jeongguk stood in shock when he saw Yun hee at the airport with tears streaming down her face and a piece of paper clutched into her hands.

"Yun hee!" Jeongguk called as he ran towards her and wrapped his arms around.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Jeongguk asked worriedly as he stroked her, but she only pushed him away.

Jeongguk looked shocked for a moment, not knowing what to say.

"Did I do something wrong?" he asked concerned.

"I thought you were different! I thought you would never break my heart!" Yun hee yelled, confusing Jeongguk even more.

"Don't act so innocent when you cheated on me," Yun hee replied bitterly. "You should have told me that you didn't want to marry me. The least you could have done for me is told me and not let me find out through the papers."

"I didn't cheat on you," Jeongguk replied calmly, making her look up to him. "I love you, alright?"

"Then, who is she?" Yun hee asked, pointing towards Cecilia accusingly.

Jeongguk looked back and saw Yun hee pointing towards Cecilia. Then, he grabbed the paper and read.

* The paper*

The runaway bride has been last seen hanging out with none other than Jeon Jeongguk, the super star that was suppose to be getting married. Some might say they are just friends, but after Cecilia ran away from the wedding, why was she first seen hanging out with Jeongguk at 3 am in his car.

*Jeongguk stops reading*

"This is all just a big mistake," Jeongguk explains. "It's a long story, so let me explain."

"This better be good," Yun hee mutters, scared of what's going to happen next.

Suddenly, manager Seejin got a call.

"Guys, Mr. Bang wants to see you," Manager Seejin announced solemnly.
