Chapter 4: Wedding Disaster

Beautiful white glitter shimmered as she moved around, the dress poofing out not too much but not too little, and then there was top that had flowery pattern drawn with lace. Also, there was a dainty belt around the waist that was studded with small diamonds, making the dress feel right out of a fairy tale.

The whole audience gasped and there were tears running down her mom's face. It was clear everyone loved this dress on her the best.

Again, no one bothered to look into her eyes that didn't display the slightest love for the gown she wore, so she turned around and stared at herself in the mirror. The dress was beautiful but it was just like any other ball gown, nothing making it feel like her dress. She looked at her best friend through the mirror who gave her smile to voice her opinion, however she was tired of changing continuously, so she said with a fake smile plastered on:

"I'll take the dress."

This all lead up to the moment where she stood in the same gown, her hair done into bouncy curls half tied half down and a huge vail placed on her head.

"Ready?" Layla asked, looking at her daughter proudly.

" I just need a few moments," Cecilia replied, trying to hide the waver in her voice.

"I know that you don't want to get married but your dad has this vision, and there is little I can do to stop him," Layla tried to explain.

"You both love each other!" Cecilia exclaimed-not even realizing it. "That love must mean something!"

"I do love him and I'll do anything until his last breath," Layla replied feeling her chest tighten by just thinking about her husband.

"What are you talking about?" Cecilia questioned.

"Your dad has been diagnosed with cancer," Layla answered, feeling the tears roll down. "Your younger brother found the reports in his office and handed them to me."

For a brief moment, she felt the room spinning around and she quickly held on to the chair beside her for some form of support.

"No," she whispered slowly, her throat clogging.

"I was scared and so was he. His dream was to walk you down the aisle and even though he still has a chance to be cured, we didn't want to bet on any chances. Yes, this marriage will benefit both companies but it's more becasue we know how much Dante cares for you already."

"Please, just leave me alone."

"I'm sorry sweetheart."

**********
"Mom, you told her didn't you?!" Trevor yelled as he saw his sister's tears running down. "You just couldn't wait after the wedding."

"She hates us!" Layla exclaimed. "I had to make sure I don't lose my daughter."

"Whatever mom," Trevor replied rushing in the bride's room and engulfing his sister in a hug. He was in the UK when he found out about his sister's wedding and decided to rush as quick as possible. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to leave the program until today.

Cecilia melted in his hug as he whispered soothing words in her ears. She smiled thinking about how as a kid he couldn't keep his mouth shut, and now here he was acting like her older brother. He was younger than her by five whole years yet he became her best friend something that seemed so odd before.

"Thank you, Trevor," Cecilia said, feeling slightly better.

"You look beautiful," Trevor stated with a huge smile. " You look just like a princess but didn't you say you wanted a blush wedding dress?"

"I know but I changed my mind when I saw this dress," Cecilia lied already feeling guilty.

"I'll see you at the alter then," Trevor, replied exiting the room.

********

"Breath it and Breath out," Cecilia mumbled to herself.

You are doing the right thing. It's not betrayal when you are saving everyone from yourself. Dante doesn't deserve a heartbroken woman and neither do I deserve to be tied down, Cecilia pondered trying to comfort herself.

"Cecilia, we might have a tiny problem," Eira rushed into the room.

"What is the problem exactly?" Cecilia asked worriedly.

"There are guards everywhere including press waiting outside the gates," Eira explained watching her friend's face turn to a state of complete terror.

"That's not tiny!"Cecilia exclaimed while pacing the room. "That's a big, no, humongous problem."

"I told you we wouldn't be able to wing it, and now look, my dad is dying and I'm getting married!" Cecilia screamed in frustration.

"Wait... what?" Eira asked shocked. " Did you say dying?"

"Yes, I'll explain what happened later," Cecilia sighed. "We have to escape now."

Eira thought for a while and came up with the most horrible idea but it was all they had, so they decided to text Trevor and say that Cecilia was getting robbed. It was stupid but when you have time running away from you, then the dumbest ideas are the new orange.

They watched carefully as the nearest pair of guards started walking towards them.

"Now,what?" Cecilia asked, looking at Eira to continue her plan. "They are getting closer and we are still stuck."

" I don't know," Eira replied sheepishly. "I didn't think it would work."

"You got to be-" Cecilia didn't get finished her sentence because a pair of guards had entered.

Panic spread through her and without thinking she threw a vase at the guard, making him fall to the ground unconscious. Before the other guard had time to react, she grabbed Eira's hand and ran-not bothering to look behind at the chaotic yells.

There was an opening and they ran right through. Everything was working somewhat according to plan and the moment she decided to remove her heals, the press turned their attention towards them causing Cecilia to throw her heals and run.

"There is no way we will be able to get to our car like this," Cecilia stated holding up her dress that kept slipping through her hands.

They should really consider making wedding dresses suitable for running, Cecilia thought.

"We should try losing them in that mall," Eira suggested, helping Cecilia with the dress as they ran.

*********

"We finally get to explore," Taehyung stated giddily. "I feel like we should check out the mall."

"Don't tell me you want something because there is a sale," Jin said sighing at the boy's usual behavior. He was always looking for something new to add to his collection and there was no way anyone would go shopping with him.

Each of the members had their fair share of experience to know that going with Taehyung meant foot pain for two days at least.

"Come on guys, please," Taehyung encouraged, making cute faces that he knew his members were affected by.

"Jk will go with you," Jimin smirked at Jeongguk who had been successfully avoiding Taehyung's shopping spree.

"What?No way!" Jeongguk protested.

Taehyung's face scrunched into a frown and he sat down on the bed.

"Fine, I'll go alone!" Taehyung exclaimed dramatically. "I thought you were my brothers but now I realized I'm just a burden to you all."

"No!" They all yelled back in unison.

"I'll come with you," Jimin said while glaring at Jeongguk to come as well.

"Me too, it will be our day out," Jeonnguk agreed, cursing Jimin mentally.

"Yay!" Taehyung squealed, running into his room to change.

"Are we really sure he is 25? He really can't be older than five," Yoongi stated while shaking his head.

" The only way we know he is 25 is from his appearance and passport," Namjoon said.

"Have fun you two!" Jin exclaimed with happiness which earned him a smack on his shoulder from Jeongguk.

"Yah!" Jin exclaimed. "I have been raising you since you were fifteen and then I have to deal with this ! Come back you little brat!Forget Taehyung, the real kid is him!"

Jeongguk snickered and left to get ready for the storm ahead.

********
"See guys, it wasn't that bad," Taehyung stated happily.

Jeongguk and Jimin exchanged looks and then looked back at him.

"Thank you for letting us eat," Jimin replied, bowing his head repeatedly.

" Yes, thank you for having mercy and letting us sit down for five minutes," Jeongguk bowed as well.

"You guys are mean," Taehyung whined.

Just then, Taehyung noticed a petite girl running around barefoot in the mall in a wedding dress.

"Wha-" Jeongguk asked but stopped mid sentence when he noticed the scene followed by jimin.

The boys couldn't help but stare and didn't even notice the girls getting closer until Bam, all of them fell to the ground.

"I'm so so sorry," Cecilia stated while helping herself up. She didn't even notice who she was talking to and didn't have any time to because once again the guards had caught up so she grabbed on to two of the boys and yelled:

"Run!"

Taehyung and Jimin didn't understand what was going on and had no idea why they did, but they listened to the weird girl in the wedding dress.

They finally took a sharp turn into a coffee shop, losing the guards. They were all breathing heavily after running for so long. When Cecilia finally caught her breath, she said:

"Again, I'm so sorry for dragging you into it, but I panicked."

That's when she finally looked up and fell back.

" Ji..min? Tae...hyung?" Cecilia strutted out, wanting to crawl into a hole and die right there. She had just dragged members from her favorite band, and they most probably think she is some saesang now .

Great, that's exactly what I needed, she thought, cursing herself

"It's okay but are you okay?" Jimin asked.

"I'm fine," Cecilia replied in Korean. " I'm ....not ....a saesang ....by the way."

"Phew, I thought you were trying to marry us," Taehyung blurted out, earning a smack from Jimin.

"Um, no. It's a long story and I'll explain if you have time, but first I need to change out of this dress.I'm actually a fan and I'm really sorry for this whole situation. I really didn't mean any of this to happen," Cecilia stated trying to control her embarrassment.

"Are you really a fan?" Jimin asked puzzled. He scanned at her; it was really hard to believe that the girl who dragged them in a wedding dress actually means no harm and on top of that Jeongguk was no where to be found.

Cecilia noticed the worry in his eyes and to be honest it hurt her, knowing that some of the members of her favorite band now saw her as trouble.

"Yeah, I'm .....the the girl who gave ....you all a letter at the .....recent fan sign," Cecilia replied, realizing that Eira was missing, so there was no way she could change.

Jimin's eyes widened as he realized who she was and it looked like Taehyung did to because now they exchanged glances.

"Those letters were so accurate," Jimin explained as he pictured the words running through his mind. "Thank you."

"Yeah, I loved mine," Taehyung beamed his cute little box smile. "However, it drove JK crazy."

Cecilia couldn't help but nervously giggle at the statement and said:

"Actually.... that poem wasn't .....ever suppose ....to go ....to him."

"So, it wasn't for him?" Taehyung questioned curiously.

"Ummm well," Cecilia said unable to explain and to her luck she saw Eira who was searching for her, so she waved her over .

"I can't believe you would run away that fast in a wedding dress!" Eira exclaimed still surprised. "One moment you were struggling and then the next thing I knew you were flying away."

Taehyung glanced at the girl who kept talking animatedly towards Cecilia and he couldn't help but stare at her. She had had dark brown hair which was tied up into a pony tail and matching eyes. Her skin was a shade of tan and she wore a red shirt with black jeans that just added to her beauty.

Jimin noticed how enchanted Taehyung was and smirked in his direction.

"Oh Taehyung ah , do you see anything you like?" Jimin whispered teasingly.

Taehyung's eyes windened slightly as he glared back at Jimin.

"Shut up," he whispered back.

Eira slightly turned around after lecturing Cecilia and fell back on the ground.

Cecilia laughed at Eira before helloing her back up.

"Am I dreaming?" Eira asked in a haze. She kept rubbing her eyes to make sure they were really there.

"No, It's actually real this time," Taehyung smiled again which maybe he shouldn't have done because Eira's heart beat faster and words failed to come out. She quickly looked down, a blush forming on her cheeks.

"Eira, May I have the bag if you are done?" Cecilia smiled mockingly.

"Yeah, here" Eira said, handing her the bag.

"I'm sure you will have no problem explaining right?" Cecilia asked.

"Of course not," Eira replied in a sickly sweet voice and faked a smiled.

Cecilia shrugged and left to change.

The three of them stood awkwardly not knowing what to say, so Eira decided to tell them.

"Cecilia...ran away .... from her wedding," Eira started, trying to speak in Korean. Her Korean was good but she never practiced it well.

"Wait, what?" Jimin and Taehyung both asked at the same time.

"She didn't....want to get married .....and her parents .....were forcing her," Eira continued, staring at the ground.

Jimin and Taehyung continued to listen as Eira filled them in on everything as best as she can. Just as Eira was about to finish, Jeongguk walked in.

"Did you guys seriously leave me in the middle of the mall for some girl?" Jeongguk asked in a 'are you serious' tone.

"We panicked and ran," Taehyung explained.

"uh huh sure," Jeongguk said, rolling his eyes.

"Hi," Cecilia stated not realizing that Jeongguk was there until he turned around.

Was it possible that time slowed down? Maybe not, but her breathing sure did and her heart beat increased faster and those stupid butterflies returned as she locked eyes with him. Oh how she yearned for this movement to never stop, so she could stay lost in those chocolate brown eyes.

People usually say that brown eyes are nothing special and Cecilia agreed with them until she saw his. Until she fell in love with his. It suited him so well and her favorite part was when his eyes would crinkle when he would smile and if you looked close enough there were a million stars that would light up.

Jeongguk was the first one to break the gaze, and stated in perfect English: "You are the girl that gave me the wrong letter."

*******
Note: the ' ...' are in the speech on purpose to show that the girls are not fluent and it takes them time to think and speak.
