Cecilia attempted to walk away as she noticed everyone was engrossed in a conversation, but her luck ran out because the moment she tiptoed on the stairs, she heard her mom call her:

"Cecilia honey,come great the guests!"

She cursed under her breath as she plastered on a fake smile before entering the living room. Immediately, she was engulfed in a hug and showered by how beautiful she had grown.

I am sure they saw me like three months ago and I have not grown even one inch, Cecilia thought, trying to act nice.

Layla ushered her to sit down on the sofa, and if she really had a choice she would have ran away right there and then, but there was nothing she could do except somehow convince the groom not to marry her.

"So, we decided to let you and Dante talk a bit and decide when you want the wedding," Layla explained to Cecilia to which she just nodded.

Dante smiled at her, and to be honest, he was a good looking guy with tousled blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, and maybe she would have fallen in love with him if she didn't have someone else in her heart.

Cecilia led him to the back garden where they sat down on a bench.

"Look, I don't want to marry you," Cecilia started, looking down at the green grass below her.

"Your parents told me that," Dante acknowledged, admiring the way the sun hit her slightly tanned skin.

"Then, why are your parents still being nice?" Cecilia asked, turning her head to look up at him.

"Because they think it's just a teenager being rebellious, and you will get used to the idea of being my wife," Dante clarified.

"Can you convince them out of this?" Cecilia asked, looking at him hopefully, but what he answered shook her to the core.

"I want to marry you though," Dante confessed, staring into her hazel eyes."I have always wanted to ask you out, but I could never build up enough courage."

Her hazel eyes opened wide as she tried comprehending the situation in front of her.

He wants to marry me? she kept repeating the statement in her head and was only snapped out of it when Dante snapped his fingers in front of her.

"I'm sorry- You are a ...nice guy but...I can't do this," Cecilia stuttered on her words trying to decline him nicely, but his blue eyes drooped as he spoke to her again.

"Are you dating someone?" Dante asked in a small voice, his heart throbbing from rejection.

"No," she replied.

" Then, why is there a problem?" Dante asked, confused.

" I don't know you and I don't love you," Cecilia said, trying her best to convince him out of it. She knew she was hurting him, and she knew the pain because she knew it all too well. Cecilia's rejection was not exactly a rejection, but the kind of love and rejection she felt was stupid, but it left her with an everlasting scar.

"Now that's a lie because you do know me," Dante argued not willing to give up on his dream girl. She was everything he had wanted in a girl: smart, beautiful, bold, caring, and so much more.

"Dante, it has been years and I have changed and so have you," Cecilia stated.

Dante sighed as he realized what he had been doing. It was clear she didn't want to marry him, and he was making it worse for the both of them. His feelings were strong, and he had to find a way to move on, but did he have to since they were going to get married either she liked it or not?

"Look , I can't stop this from happening," Dante told her, unable to stop himself from savoring her beauty. He had seen her go through some tough times, and he thought they had developed a connection.

I guess I was the only one who thought that we shared something special,he pondered. My parents and yours are persistent on the decision, he pondered.

As they were talking, their moms walked into the garden, preventing them from continuing.

"So, did you decide on a date yet?" Paisley, Dante's mom, questioned eagerly.

"No, and I don't plan to because I don't want to get married," Cecilia replied calmly. "Your son is an amazing guy, but I'm too young. I want to go to University and I still haven't decided which country. Australia is nice and all but I want to travel. Hopefully with my best friend."

Paisley looked at Cecilia and let out a giggle, puzzling Cecilia in the process.

"Is that your reason for rejecting our son?" Paisley asked, her eyes twinkling." You can travel with your best friend and choose to live anywhere because we have campuses everywhere. Too young you say. Sweety, you are not too young. You are an adult now, so please don't worry too much, now if you can't decide then we will. How does the end of this month sound?"

"I think it's perfect," Layla beamed excitedly. " Don't be so scared, Cecilia. They are nice people and I'm sure Dante is going to keep you happy."

"But-," Cecilia tried arguing only to be interrupted by her mother's hand, indicating she would not hear a single word from her.

Cecilia had enough with the meeting and excused herself from the joyful atmosphere that suffocated her. She glanced at Dante who seemed to want to talk to her, but she didn't want to hear another word from anyone, so she smiled at him and walked away to her room.

The steps seemed to drag on forever even though Celilia had climbed these stairs every day, today, they seemed to stretch on longer and her bedroom felt farther as she ascended the stairs.

Her breathing was already uneven as tears were already brimming her eyes, but she was stronger than that. A solution was what she needed and crying about it would only give her a headache.

She entered her room and locked the door shut, before breathing in and out, calming her beating heart. Her Laptop lay open on her bed; there had always been a silent agreement between the two as she allowed the next song to play.

Instant regret filled her and she mentally cursed herself for not choosing the next song because now his voice filled her room, only his voice but she couldn't bring herself to change the beautiful melody that played; his voice calming her uneasiness only for a bit until she focused on his raw voice and those exquisite treacherous lyrics.

"I can't marry him because I still love you," Cecilia admitted to herself softly.
"It's not your fault and it will never be yours, and soon I'll be over you because you are getting married."

A tear slipped down her cheeks as he sang what was on her mind.

Cause nothing can ever

ever replace you

Nothing can make me feel like you do, yeah!

Jeongguk barely had the time to process what was going on as he was enveloped into a hug.

"I missed you so much Kookie," Yun hee murmured on his shoulder.

The boys walked away while smiling at the cute couple.

"I missed you as well," he beamed despite being exhausted, taken in her appearance. She wore pastel pink flowy dress that hugged her on all the right places. "You are here early."

"It has been two weeks despite us being in the same country once again," Yun hee smiles, happy to see Jeongguk. "How could I not rush over the moment I was free!"

It was hard meeting up regularly since they both had jobs and Jeongguk was rarely ever free from work, but Yun Hee got lucky that she was offered to travel to Australia while BTS was in Australia as well. Unfortunately, she had to wait two weeks before she could meet up with him. Jeongguk had given her a promise ring in Australia, and since then they visited the small restaurant at the beach whenever they visited which was only twice yet it felt like it was theirs.

"I'm going to change and come right back," Jeongguk told her, already rushing inside.

Yun Hee giggled at his retreating figure and sat on one of the sofas waiting when Jimin sat across from her.

"Hey, I need to talk to you," Jimin started, not knowing exactly what to say.

Yun hee didn't like the sound of it but replied anyway:

"Sure."

" It's about Jeongguk," Jimin said."He has been stressing himself all over again."

"Are you sure?" Yun hee asked confused. "He is always so active with me that I question from where he gets the energy. I speak to him on the phone every day and he is always so upbeat."

Jimin didn't understand how that was possible unless Jeongguk had been lying to Yun hee just like them, but weren't couples suppose to be special? Jimin could still remember how his ex-girlfriend had figured him out like an open book. Just thinking about her was hard as they decided that they decided to take a break.

"Then, talk to him today," Jimin stated before getting up, giving a small smile, and walking away- leaving the girl to ponder.

Yun Hee and Jeongguk walked on the beach as Jeongguk held her hand sending tingles through her. It had been three years since they were a couple, and he never failed to keep the spark in the relationship. However, Yun Hee's mind kept going back to Jimin's words and she found herself zoning out once again.

Is Jeongguk really hiding something? He would tell me, right? We used to tell each other everything. Yun hee questioned herself.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jeongguk asked, worried about her. "You have been zoning out a lot today. Did something happen?"

"Would you ever hide something from me?" Yun Hee blurted out, looking at Jeongguk as the waves crashed on their feet.

"Why would I do that?" Jeongguk asked while trying to diminish the annoying voice in his head that screamed: Lier. "Did someone tell you something?"

"No," Yun Hee lied, but Jeongguk looked at her and knew she was lying.

"It was Jimin hyung, wasn't it?" Jeongguk asked, staring into her brown-green eyes.

His gaze made her uneasy, and it was so hard to lie to him.

"Ye-ah," she stuttered under his gaze.

Jeongguk lifted her chin up making sure not break eye contact and said softly:

"I'm fine alright. My hyungs just get worried about me too quick. I'm just tired lately and I'm sure some sleep will fix everything."

Every word he spoke sounded so genuine that she felt guilty for even thinking something like that, but she still wanted to assure him just in case.

"I think I told you this before, but I want to tell you that I'm here for you, and now that our wedding day is only three months away I hope you know that you can tell me anything without worrying about my reaction because I will always love you," Yun Hee said, looking into his eyes.

"I know," Jeongguk replied, suppressing the guilt he felt. It's not that he purposely kept his fiance in the dark. It was in his nature: a part of him that he always had."Now, are you planning to spend the rest of our time worrying about me or having fun."

He bent down, letting his hand catch some of the water and splashed it on her. She shrieked as the water left her soaking on the sand; before she could splash him back, he was already running.

"Jeon Jeongguk!" She yelled as she ran after him, a small smile forming on her lips." That was my new dress!"

Reading fan letters was Jimin's favorite thing to do. They were always so sweet that it made his day brighter. He decided to read a few as he felt he needed a break from working on something new. A letter with a royal blue ribbon caught his eye, so he opened it up and read.

The letter

I don't think I would ever have the courage to say this to your face, so I decided to write this letter.

We all heard you struggled with your weight and I think you are so strong to overcome something like that because I don't know if I'll ever be over it. I don't know why I feel that you hide so much behind your smile. That you still struggle, but got better at hiding it. You are not perfect, but you are you and that's why I admire you so much. The way you float around the stage like a feather floating away without a care in the world keeps me and I think everyone in awe. I love how you let the music control your body and it's like your interpreting the words when you dance. Your moves are so smooth and satisfying to watch that I think I could watch you dance for hours and hours and not get bored. Then, there is your voice. A sound that is so sweet just like you. The emotions in your voice are real and they radiate off you and into our hearts. Please don't doubt yourself or think that you are not good enough because you are. You are so much more than you think.

Translated by a close friend because I don't know Korean well.

Your fan,
Cecilia

His eyes widened slightly as he read her interpretation on him. The accuracy was astonishing as he realized the letter dated back to three years back: when life was hard for him. A huge smile formed on his face as he continued reading. The letter was not very long, but it said a million things all at once.

I wonder if the others have read theirs? What if the other letters had correct interpretations like mine? Jimin wondered.

He texted the group chat, then realized it was late and that most probably everyone would be asleep by now, but he left the message anyways.

Can you guys bring the letter that has the name Cecilia on it?~Jimin

******

Jeongguk reached his hotel room and collapsed on the bed. He opened his phone to find a message on their group chat. He never really opened it but when he saw a part of the message he couldn't help it.

Jimin wanted them to bring the same letter he had been thinking about. He debated whether he should really open it as it was late at night and most probably he would already have trouble waking up early, but his curiosity had been sparked up again, so he went to his desk and looked for the name.

A blood-red ribbon was tied on his letter.

He took a deep breath and read, but nothing could have prepared him for the letter.

******

Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I didn't just waste your time. If you liked it, then it would mean a lot to me if you dropped a vote and commented on what you thought of it. I just feel like this chapter was kind of boring, but don't worry things will start escalating soon.

Thank you for all of you that voted, commented and read it. It meant a lot to me.

What do you think Cecilia will do next?

Is Jeongguk really making good decisions?

What was in that letter?

See you all real soon. Bye!!!
