Chapter 19: Surprise Guests

"I will leave then," Cecilia blurted as she looked down in hopes that they wouldn't notice the fear she felt.

This is the most horrible thing ever, she cried in her mind and as soon as she tried to walk out of the door, she was blocked by the boys who still hadn't entered.

"We need to talk," Namjoon told her softly yet it held so much authority that it made her lookup.

A small sigh escaped her lips as she backed away and waited for them to enter.

This is the end. Goodbye cruel world. It was nice being here...not, she cried to herself.

"So, how did it happen?" Yoongi asked softly, trying his best not to scare the girl in front of him.

Cecilia was thinking about explaining it all in English, but then she remembered how mad Jeongguk would get whenever she uttered a single word in English.

I'm not doing this for him. I'm doing this for myself, she told herself as she started to explain what she could.

"I don't know when happen," Cecilia started, her voice heavy with defeat. "It was not supposed to be serious but I guess because I suffer, so little crush became big to extent I cried over him. If he got less line, it hurt. Yes, this normal behavior for some fan but for me it scary as I never feel like this for any boy. I tell myself it's all okay and I got over soon but I fell more because dark got worse and he like magic shop. In world for me and him. No worries. I will not ever destroy his marriage and I'm not stalker, I promise. I want all you to be happy and that makes me happy."

The members listened attentively to her story, analyzing and trying to understand how she felt.

"I believe you," Jin told her with a small smile. "You don't seem like the type of girl to cause trouble."

"Thank you," Cecilia said, a burden being lifted off her shoulders as she realized they didn't hate her...at least one of them didn't.

"I didn't know it was possible to fall for an idol this way, but I guess it is," Jimin stated in shock.

"I think it is," Yoongi answered. "I'm sure she isn't the only girl and it makes sense. When someone saves you, you feel a different attraction towards them and I'm glad she didn't take this attraction the wrong way."

"Don't tell Jeongguk!" Cecilia exclaimed even though there was a chance they would still tell him or it might slip.

"We won't," Yoongi reassured her. "This is something personal and the only person who should tell is you."

Cecilia looked at Yoongi gratefully. There was something about him. His cold intimating looks didn't matter because even though he radiated out a hard look, once anyone spoke to him, they would realize that aura was just the experience he went through and the guy in front of them is a total sweetheart.

"Then, I'll see you later," Cecilia stated as she got up to leave.

"Can you tell Eira that-" Taehyung was going to say but Cecilia interrupted.

"I think you tell her yourself," Cecilia winked at him. "Good luck and please take care of my friend."

The members burst out laughing while Taehyung's face turned red.

"But," Taehyung tried to call out, but she was already gone.

"Not funny," Taehyung added as he covered his face with his hands.

"What's not funny?" Jeongguk asked as he entered the room and everyone grew quiet, staring at Jeongguk and then at each other.

"Uh guys," Jeongguk stated as he snapped his fingers, not understanding why they stopped talking when he came. "Are you guys trying to prank me?!"

"No," Taehyung replied, dismissing the idea.

"Then?" Jeongguk said, asking them to continue.

"It's just that Cecilia roasted Taehyung," Jimin snickered as Taehyung glared at his hyung, muttering how it wasn't fair how everyone was attacking him.

"Cecilia was here?" Jeongguk asked curiously, not understanding why Cecilia would be here.

"Yeah, she was talking with Jimin when we interrupted them," Taehyung spoke, getting his revenge on Jimin.

Since when were they close? Jeongguk thought, not really liking the idea of how Cecilia was spending time with Jimin as he knew that his hyung had feelings for her. Then, another thought popped in his head and his eyes widened just thinking about it.

Did he confess? Jeongguk thought to himself.

"Jk?" Taehyung asked as they noticed how his mood changed the moment Cecilia was brought up.

"Sorry, I zoned out," Jeongguk replied as he shook out those outrageous thoughts.

The members all sensed Jeongguk's weird behavior but they didn't bring it up. They were going to leave him to figure things out by himself and who knows maybe it's just their imagination.

"Let's just practice," Hoseok said and everyone agreed to hop on board with their dreadful two hours which felt like four since they barely had a break between. That was the life of an idol. It was important to push through and give all the energy into this practice. Practice and more practice. That's what their lives evolved around.

*********

Cecilia quietly listened as Eira told her about her day and it seemed like everything went smoothly on her end other than the dance practice.

"I know the choreography but I can't look him in the eye," Eira whined. "It feels like he is reading me and I feel so vulnerable. How does he do that? Seriously, Taehyung doesn't even fit in my dictionary anymore."

"Did he talk to you about anything else?" Cecilia asked as she prepared her side of the desk for the boys to arrive.

"No," Eira replied with a slight pause as she finished her side of the desk.

"More like you run away from the poor guy and don't even give him a chance," Cecilia said as she rolled her eyes at her friend's behavior. "If you don't treat him right, I'll take him myself."

"Hey, you wouldn't dare!" Eira whined as her eyes widened in horror. "But, I don't mind losing anyone to you."

"How many times do I have to tell you to not give up on things?!" Cecilia explained as she lightly hit the pillow lying on the makeup chair on her friend's head.

"I told you that you are an exception," Eira said genuinely.

Cecilia walked up to her and grabbed her shoulders.

"I love you and I know you love me, but that doesn't mean you should ever give up someone you love for me," Cecilia told her kindly. "You are still human and honestly I'm selfish enough that I wouldn't give up Jeongguk if I had a chance with him."

"Your happiness comes first," Eira replied with a smile.

"So, does yours," Cecilia said returning the little smile. "So, stop ignoring Taehyung and talk to him."

"I'm not-" Eira argued, but Cecilia held out her hand.

"Don't run away or I'll lock you in together," Cecilia threatened.

"You wouldn't dare!" Eira exclaimed to which Cecilia gave a playful smile.

A knock was heard and the girls simultaneously looked up to find some completely different group.

"Hi," Cecilia said with a polite smile.

"Hi," one of the taller guys answered back. "I don't know if you were informed, but we are the new trainees and we are here to test you."

"Test?" Eira asked surprised. No one had informed them of the change in schedule.

"Yeah, so let's see how good you actually are," another boy replied smugly.

Cecilia didn't like this one bit and something felt really off. She had never seen these three boys around the building and if there were ever any changes, they would have been informed. Thinking that perhaps she had gotten some message, Cecilia opened her phone to find zero missed calls and messages.

"I'll call and check," Cecilia told them, but the boy didn't care.

"Are you calling us liars?" the redhead asked.

"No, I mean-" Cecilia tried to explain herself, but she was cut off again by the same guy.

"Just do the makeup we ask for or else we will complain and tell everyone how inefficient you both are," the redhead said as he took a seat.

Cecilia nor Eira were convinced, but it seemed like these boys were not willing to take a no for an answer.

Eira opened up her phone and typed a quick message, hoping that the manager would see it.

*********

Taehyung lied down on the floor as he breathed hard.

"How many...hours...more?" he panted between the words.

"Why are you so out of breath?" Jimin asked as he took a seat beside him.

"It's been two hours of nonstop practicing," Taehyung replied as he sat beside him." It's been a long day with extra shooting and all."

Jimin nodded.

"We are done though," Jimin answered.

Taehyung forgot about how his muscles ached and how he could barely move when he heard those precious words. A huge smile plastered across his face as he grabbed his stuff. As he was about to put his phone in his pocket, a message caught his attention.

Did you send new boys to the makeup room?

Taehyung showed his screen to Jimin.

"Do you think she needs help?"Jimin asked worriedly.

"I think we should check it out," Taehyung replied concerned.

*****

Eira and Cecilia continued to work as the boys snickered and passed rude remarks. There was nothing they could do until they heard from the manager because if this was actually a test then that would be bad.

The next time they heard a knock, both of them hoped it was the manager telling them it was some sick prank, but they got two people they were least expecting: Jimin and Taehyung.

"Hi," they waved to everyone.

"What's going on here?" Taehyung asked, eyeing the people in front of him as he couldn't seem to recall any of their faces.

"Getting our Makeup done," the redhead answered.

Jimin walked up near Cecilia and stood in front of her protectively while Taehyung stood in front of Eira.

"I hope you are not bothering my girlfriend," Jimin said sweetly and Cecilia felt like she was going to faint.

Am I still breathing? I think I stopped breathing. Did Jimin just claim me as his girlfriend? I'm dreaming for sure. What the hell? Is this real? I definitely died, Cecilia pondered, her thoughts getting the best of her and she was pretty sure she couldn't move.

"Yeah, I hope you treat my girlfriend well," Taehyung added, going along with whatever Jimin had in mind not realizing that he had probably killed the girl behind him.

Did Taehyung just say the same thing? Is this heaven? Where am I? I thought I would end up on hell. My dreams are not this nice. Is this a punishment because I can't have Taehyung, so now my body is imagining a future I can't have? Eira asked herself as her body shut down.

"Don't worry, your girlfriends are fine," the brunette replied calmly.

"Then, how come I have never seen you around? Jimin asked suspiciously.

"You guys are so busy, I'm sure you have not met all the trainees," the redhead stated.

"Trust me, the only people around here are the confirmed groups or the ones already debuted," Taehyung replied as he realized these people are not supposed to be here.

"Who are you?" Jimin questioned as he narrowed his eyes at the redhead.

"Run!" the redhead exclaimed as the boys tried running away, but Taehyung and Jimin were way stronger as they trapped the three boys.

"Please don't hurt us," the redhead pleaded. "It was Youra. Please let us go and you won't see us again."

Taehyung rolled his eyes as he let off the boys. There was no point of talking to victims who would give them zero information.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung asked as he looked into Eira's eyes, trying to read what might he going through her head. Eira nodded slightly.

"Thank you," Eira replied softly as she bit her lip slightly.

Taehyung's heart fluttered with joy as Eira hadn't run away and was actually talking to him. The way she sinfully bit her lip, gosh this woman was driving him crazy.

"Yeah, Thank you," Cecilia said with a smile. "How did you know?"

"Taehyung got a message from Eira that there were some new boys and when I saw that they didn't seem like someone we took in as rookies, we had to help," Jimin told them.

"I'm so sorry," Eira replied embarrassed. "I should payed more attention to person I texting."

"I didn't mind helping and Jimin ssi came voluntarily," Taehyung reassured Eira as he gave her his famous box smile.

"Well, thank you again," Cecilia replied gratefully. "See you later."

The boys left and Cecilia glanced at her friend who definitely looked lovestruck.

Seems like all the stars have aligned for them, Cecilia thought to herself as a smile formed.

He didn't understand why everything went wrong at night. Everything hit him all at once as he prepared himself for bed and he wished he could sort this problem out. However this time, the problem was way worse because she was involved. She lurked at the back of his mind and Jeongguk didn't know what to do with it. First, Cecilia was talking to Jimin alone and now he heard that they were dating.

None of it should matter to him. He had a beautiful fiancée who he loved and cherished so much, but the thought of Cecilia smiling to some other guy and being so close with someone else seemed to make him-. He wouldn't dare say the word to make it more real. It was just some weird overprotectiveness because he didn't want his new friend to get hurt.

Jimin hyung will make her very happy and I should stop worrying, Jeongguk tried to convince himself.

Shaking his head, Jeongguk went outside to take walk. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he was hoping to bump into her. To be able to talk to her and clear everything up. To his luck, she was there. It seemed like she was always there when he thought about her. Destiny? He always believed in that, but with her, he didn't want to.Everything seemed wrong.

The way her long hair fell in loose curls down her back, covering up half her face. Her hazel eyes that seemed darker under the moonlight were narrowed as she typed on the screen. Even though she wore a baggy hoodie with lose pants, she looked stunning as if all the odds worked in her favor alone.

He didn't want to be near her. He shouldn't be near her, but around her, it seemed like he had no control.

"Hi," he blurted and he instantly regretted being outside.

"Hey," she beamed at him and Jeongguk found himself moving closer towards her. "You like this place?"

"Yeah," Cecilia replied, looking around the place in admiration. "It's not big area but everything is very pretty and it clear my head."

"Your Korean is improving," Jeongguk pointed out with a smile.

"I feel it got worse," she giggled and the sweet melody brought a massive smile on his face.

"Nope," he replied and there was no stopping him anymore. He wasn't thinking about where he was or who was watching. He seemed to forget everything as he was lost in a new universe.

"I'll head in before I get trouble," Cecilia said as she got up from the grass. "It's past curfew."

Jeongguk noticed how her feet were empty.

"I like grass," Cecilia replied when she noticed Jeongguk staring at her feet.

"Maybe I should try it," Jeongguk said.

"Maybe," Cecilia smiled. "Good night!"

"Good night!" Jeongguk waved back as he watched the girl disappear.

"I didn't even ask," Jeongguk cursed himself as he completely forgot to ask Cecilia about her and Jimin.

You like- his brain seemed to tell him.

Shut up, will You? We are just friends, Jeongguk convinced himself, but he was still so curious about the girl who danced with her emotions and spoke those sweet yet real words that he never seemed to understand. She was a mystery that he wanted every answer too.
