The Photograph
Sirius Black is a complete drama queen. Never subtle about anything really. And Remus isn't stupid. He can read Sirius easier than the books he always has on his person. He knows, and the feelings are mutual but still he says nothing, far too scared to ruin what they have to ever say anything to the other person.

"Remussss," Sirius all but screamed from his room.
Remus sighed and walked out of the kitchen, making his way over to the doorway of Sirius' room and leaning against the doorframe, taking a sip of his tea and waiting for his friend to continue.
"Moony, have you seen my pink crop top?"
"No, Sirius I have not seen your pink crop top," Remus replied in his usual cool tone, and with those words Sirius' expression changed from his usual happy one to a very sad one. It broke Remus a little seeing him like that which is why Remus followed his previous statement with, "I have, however seen your grey one, it's in the pile on the couch."
And with that Sirius' face lit up, and he half-ran to the living room to collect his shirt while yelling about how great his Moony is.
~~~~
Remus spent the rest of that day reading some book, alone in the flat he shared with his three friends as they were all out, each with their own reasons (Peter was working, James was with his fiancé and Sirius was out "running" although how much running he actually did, Remus didn't know.)
If Remus was being honest with himself he was waiting on Sirius to get back from his run, that was always Remus' favourite part of any day—especially when Sirius went out in a crop top. Except what Remus didn't know was that this was no regular day. However, as soon as Sirius got in he knew something was wrong.
Slamming the door, clearly upset, Sirius comes into the flat, quickly finding Remus and collapsing into his lap. Remus immediately hugs Sirius until the latter calmed down and stopped crying.
"What happened, Pads?" Remus, eventually asks, gently.
"A-a guy said stuff about me being disgusting and used slurs and the lady he was with commented on how I don't pull off this top," Sirius mumbled into Remus' shoulder, shaking a little at the memory.
"You know that's not true, Sirius, you are not disgusting in the slightest and you probably pull of that top one hundred times better that that lady ever could," Remus replied, sweetly.
"Thanks Re," Sirius sighed before falling asleep with his head buried in Remus' shoulder.
~~~~
And after that any time something like that happened Sirius went to Remus; there was just something about him that made Sirius feel better. But then again that had sort of always been that case.
The more it happen the more they pined after each other but the more they didn't want to ruin what they had. It got to a point that even James the most oblivious person you'll ever meet noticed something was up amongst his friends.
He and his fiancé decided to do something about it.
~~~~
"I can't believe James convinced me a house party was a good idea," Remus groaned, taking a sip of his drink and leaning against Sirius a little more.
"Yeah but it gave me an excuse to wear this dress so I'm not complaining," Sirius replied, motioning to the tight, black, lacy dress he was wearing along with a pair of Dr. Martens. Remus had to admit Sirius looked stunning so he hummed in agreement.
They talked in a corner all night only getting up for refills and they were so deep in conversation they didn't see James take a photo of them and they even missed the end of the party. They only noticed when James turned the music off and Peter started picking up cups and throwing them into a black bag. At this they decided they were too drunk and tired to help so they went to their respective beds.
~~~~
Remus knew he was gone. He knew he was long gone. So gone that he probably wouldn't stop being gone. But still his insecurities made sure that this was hidden away.
Until he saw the photograph.
James showed him it one day when Sirius was out and Remus confessed his feelings for Sirius. James was very supportive and told Remus to go for it because James could see Sirius felt the same way.
And although Remus appreciated the encouragement he didn't need it after looking at the photograph. Neither of them knew the photograph was being taken and clearly, all they could see was each other. Seeing that look in Sirius' eyes while they looked directly at him, Remus knew the feeling was mutual. And seeing this evidence gave him confidence in his actions, he just needed an opportunity to take action.
~~~~
This opportunity came about when once again the two find themselves curled up on the couch together, except this time there are kisses being pressed on Sirius' forehead. The next thing Remus knows Sirius is sitting upright straddling the man's thighs.
"Sorry I-" Remus starts before being interrupted by Sirius' mouth being pressed against his own.
They kiss for what feels like years before finally pulling away, resting their foreheads together.
"I think I love you, Moons."
"I think I might love you as well, Padfoot."
"Be my boyfriend?"
"Yeah alright then."
They heard cheering from another room and the next thing they know James, Lily and Peter came rushing in cheering and hugging them yelling things such as, "no more sexual tension," and "I finally got them together." Through all of this Remus just shook his head and wondered why James always had to ruin nice moments such as this one then looked at Sirius who was still sitting on top of him and wondered how he got so lucky.
~~~~
Remus didn't plan for it to happen like that but he was most definitely not .disappointed and as he stripped to his boxers and climbed into bed beside, Sirius he certainly wasn't complaining.
