Chapter 19: Allister, the Heir to the Wild Hunt
Rebecca's P.O.V
"No... no no no! That should be a myth!" I yelled. Chris, Dad, and the idiot (A.K.A Eryr) looked at me. "You don't get it. They didn't come for you. You were just a spoil of war to her!" The Idiot said. I glared at him. "Sweetheart, the Phoenix's protect the Box. Now, with the sky looking like that, it's clear what their motive was from he beginning." Dad explained, looking back at the sky. "Rebecca... they just unleashed a whole bunch of trapped demons. Pandora's Box isn't an actual box, it's a prison! This attack was planned! We just missed the chance on the person who wanted your head because of Vanessa!" Chris said, his voice turning into an angry shout. "What was trapped in the prison?" I asked. "You don't wanna know..." I heard my grandfather say. "The Ten Commandments!" Sabrina shouted.
Everyone snapped their heads towards her and she clamped her hands over her mouth. "Sabrina!" Erica yelled. "It was an accident! I didn't mean to yell it out loud!" Sabrina said. "But, aren't those just rules set by God, who He gave to Moses?" I asked. "Originally yes, but over time, they became demonic beings and Jesus Christ, God's son, gave new rules, bestowed to him by God. Now we have the demon hunter group 'Seven Sins of Hell.'" Silver explained. Everyone was still in tears. "Well then... what do we do?" I asked. That's when the wind picked up and the sounds of wild animals ran through the room. "Oh no..." Alex said, turning pale. "The Wild Hunt has arrived!" one of the higher beings yelled. "Run for your lives!" someone else screamed.
Panic went through the castle. People were scurrying and running as fast as they could, leaving the dead bodies. Even Erica got up reluctantly and ran towards an exit. I was being shoved around and I fell. "REBECCA! REBECCA WHERE ARE YOU!?" I heard Chris yell. I was about to answer when the lights went out and the door slammed shut. I froze as a cold chill went through my spine. I stopped moving and pretended I was dead. People started moving around in the room. "SIR! The dead bodies are being collected right now." a male said. "Good... I want some of the dead bodies missing. Leave the dead Phoenix birds." said another man. His voice sounded powerful and like he has lived for many long years. "Yes sir Woden." the earlier voice said. That's when to pairs of feet came into view. Both had green skin and they wore sandals
"Woden... the sky..." said another voice. Though it sounded more feminine, it also held the same powerful tone as Woden. "I know Herla... we must tell Lord Arthur of it... he should expect more dead bodies." Woden said to the woman. Another pair of feet came into view. Also green and wearing sandals. "Herla... Woden... Beatrik has arrived in Rountabel Palace." said another male voice. He sounded like the previous two. "Thank you Jarnik. Go on ahead." Herla said. "I can't... because Odin has arrived as well." Jarnik said. Woden cursed in what sounded like Scandinavian and said "Let's go." And just like that, they vanished and the lights went on. I slowly looked around and saw all the blood on the ground. I slowly got up to look for an exit.
Though as I stood up, a hand clamped down on my mouth silencing me. "Shhhh... don't make a sound..." said a new voice. I gulped. "My name is Allister... a prisoner of Pandora's Box. Though I was thrown in, falsely accused." When he said this, I stiffened. "Now... I want you to tell me... where can I find a man named Midas?" he asked. At this, I hit him in the gullet and he grunted. He let go of me and I spun around to stare at him. He had dyed neon blue hair and black as night colored eyes. He wore peasant looking clothing and was now glaring at me. He was pretty handsome, just not my type. "I don't know, and I don't care." I said, getting into a defensive position. Allister just gave a pained chuckle and glared at me. "Watch your tone girl... you don't know who you're talking too..." he said. Before either one of us could jump at the other, the doors to the throne room opened.
Christopher's P.O.V
Before the Wild Hunt Arrived
"Rebecca!" I called as I was dragged out of the room by people running out of the room. Once the doors closed, a cold breeze settled in. Wild animals could be heard and war cries rang through the halls. "There here..." Erica muttered. "Where's Rebecca?" I asked. Eryr's eyes widened. "Oh shit..." he said. "No... my daughter is..." Aquila trailed off. "Inside... with the Wild Hunt..." Silver said with terror lacing his voice. "No... no no no no NO NO NO NO! Give me my best friend! Give me my sister's body!" Erica yelled, running to the door and banging on it. This shocked all of us. That's when the doors creaked open. Erica froze and slowly stepped away from the door. Out came a green skinned man. He wore dirty and broken clothing and had a hazel eye and one silver one. He held a mark on his forehead and his hair was dark brown. "Why have you interrupted us?" he asked. "I... I want Queen Fauna's body." Erica squeaked. The man thought about it for a second and went back into the dark room. He came back out seconds after with the Queen's limp and pale body in his arms. He dumped her on the ground.
"How dare you do that! That is disrespecting of the dead!" a Phoenix yelled. The Phoenix that spoke out rushed him with at raised fist. Though when he landed the punch, the Phoenix screamed in pain and disintegrated into salt. Everyone gasped. "Y-Your..." Alex trailed off. "My name is Cain, son of Adam and Eve, brother of Abel." Cain hissed. Thunder boomed through the air. A ghastly wail rang as well. "Heaven cries for my return. Though it was their leader that banished me." Cain growled. I gulped. "Cain!" a man said, appearing behind him. Cain spun around and looked at the man. The man's skin was also green, but he had both eyes silver. He wore broken nobel clothing. He had white hair. "M'Lord Woden... Are we departing?" Cain asked, going to one knee and bowing. Woden, one of the leaders of The Wild Hunt, nodded. "Yes. Hurry." Woden said. And just like that, he turned around and left with Cain.
The doors slammed shut again and the sounds stopped. I reached for the handle, but something felt off. It felt like... a dark dragon. My eyes widened and I threw open the door. Rebecca was in a defensive position and looked okay. Her silver dress was all muddy from when she ran outside and away from her brother. Her skin also had muddy blotches on her arms. At the moment, I didn't care about the person she was facing. I just ran to her and yelled "Rebecca!" She looked my way just as I collided with her and wrapped her in a hug. "You're okay..." I mumbled into her hair. Rebecca wrapped her arms around me and said "Yeah... I'm good." Though she may have tried comforting me, all I could think about was that interaction with The Fates. So, all I did was hug her tighter.
"My my... long time no see." said a unforgettable voice. I let go of Rebecca and looked over my shoulder with a glare. His midnight coloured eyes calculated my every move and his usually black hair was dyed a neon blue colour. He wore dirty, damaged clothing. "Allister..." I growled. Anger started growing in me. "Hello dear brother of mine! How is father?" he asked, bowing to me. Everyone gasped. "He's your brother!?" Rebecca asked. "Sadly." I replied. "So, he is the Dark Dragons' heir?" Aquila asked. "No. Though he is the heir of something." I snapped. "Yes. You're right dear brother of mine! I'm the heir of a powerful bunch, though falsely accused by my allies. Betrayed by a man I once called an ally." Allister said. "Which ally?" I asked. "My brother in arms... Woden." he explained. Everyone gasped except me. "That's right. I'm the Heir to the Wild Hunt! When Lord Arthur loses his rule, Odin will allow me to become ruler!" Allister explained.
