Chapter 15: Aquila Phoenix
Christopher's P.O.V
Shit shit shit shit shit!!! Why now of all times!? Standing there, in his regal glory, was the man I'm afraid will take her away. He had brigt orange hair with red stripes in some places, his orange eyes were filled with fire and he had a kind smile. Something he shouldn't be giving me. He wore a nice red dress shirt with an orange blazer and orange kakhi's. I gulped as he looked at me. His eyes held no expression. Alex, Erica, Silver and I went on one knee and bowed. I could hear all of our heart beats accelerate. "You may stand." he said with laughter in his voice. All four of us stood up, but kept our heads bowed. Then he let out a groan of annoyance and said "Please act casual with me! Like I'm a friend!" The other three relaxed, but I started to sweat.
"You too Mr. Draco." the Phoenix King, Aquila Phoenix, said. I shakily lifted my head and stared into his eyes. They held amusement. I gulped. He looked around at the chaos and walked over to one of the still burning cinders. He then slowly stomped on it with a black dress shoe. "What happened here?" he asked, turning himself in our direction. "Well... a fire dragon attacked us with two succubus'" answered Silver. Aquila nodded and looked behind us. His eyes lit up with happiness and relief and I looked over my shoulder. Sabrina and Seraph were standing on either side of a confused Rebecca. Shauna stood behind the three. "Rebecca. It has been so long." Lord Phoenix said, rushing past us and wrapped Rebecca into a hug.
Rebecca looked surprised, but hugged him back, stiffly. When he pulled away, Aquila said "I am Aquila Phoenix. Your father."
Rebecca's P.O.V
My eyes widened in shock. In front of me was my father. Someone I wanted to see for forever. "M-My father..." I stuttered, remembering the attitude of Eryr. But, this man seems nice! What went wrong!? As I thought this, my father shook Seraph's hand. "Seraph Leviathan. It's been a long time." he said. My grandfather grinned and said "It has. This is Rebecca's cousin, Sabrina." My grandfather indicated towards Sabrina and she bowed her head. "Sabrina Lilith. At your service." she said. Dad nodded and looked at me. "So, I heard from your brother that you are dating Mr. Draco." he said with a closed mouth smile. All of us stiffened. It was quiet for a bit... but then I nodded. Dad nodded back, turned to look at Chris and walked towards him.
Chris flinched. Dad stopped infront of him and said "Get her killed or hurt her, and I'll make sure you won't see the light of day again. Understood?" he asked in a threatening tone. Chris nodded, but looked surprised. Dad nodded and said "Good. Then you both have my blessing." Everyone's mouth dropped. "Wait wait wait! You're allowing this relationship!? Eryr didn't even allow it!" Alex said. Dad scoffed and said "Eryr is a stuck up boy who is too serious and holds grudges. Yes, he is a year older then Rebecca and he is Angela's non-half demon son, but I made the mistake myself in raising him. He needs to learn to let loose more and to not hold grudges. My mistake in giving him to a horrible family to begin with..."
"Eryr was given to another family?" I asked. Dad nodded. "To protect him from the Demon Hunters. Back then, they were like the plague. They were in every single mythical and supernatural creatures home. When I gave Eryr up to the family, I didn't know they held a grudge to the dark dragons. Us Phoenix birds don't hold grudges. But I gave him to the one family that did." he said. I looked surprised. "Why are you here, Lord Phoenix?" Erica asked. Dad looked at her and said "To invite you all to a ball in my home!" He extended his hands and grinned at us. To say we were all shocked would be an understatement. Chris fainted, Alex did the same, Silver looked surprised, Erica didn't know what to do, my grandfather smiled but had wide eyes, and Sabrina squeeled with joy.
I didn't know what to do either. My personality today said that I should be a bitch and say 'Why should I come!?', but my regular personality said 'What am I going to wear!?'. Dad looked at the two dragons and asked "They okay?" Silver shrugged. And all that time, we completely forgot about my human friends.

Ugh! What am I gonna wear!? I was going through my closet in search of a dress. Just before we all left, Dad had said that the ball would be held tomorrow evening. Grandfather and Sabrina were talking in the kitchen and I was in my small room. Someone knocked on my door and I yelled "Come in!" I turned to look at the door and saw Sabrina enter with something behind her back. "I may have picked out the perfect dress for you." she explained. She brought the dress to the front. I gasped. It was a silver dress that would hug my body. I took it from her and Sabrina said "Put it on." I nodded. Sge left the room and I took off my clothes and put on the dress. I called Sabrina back in to zip it up for me. When she saw me, she gasped.
"What?" I asked. "The dress makes your golden eyes seem like it's actual gold in them!" Sabrina said with a squeel. I looked in my vanity mirror and saw that sge was right. The silver really made my eyes pop. It was like the two elements were trying to over power the other. "Woah... I can't wait for tomorrow." I explained with a smile.

The next day
Christopher's P.O.V
I stood outside the castle of the Phoenix King. I was silently freaking out on the inside. Just as I was about to enter, three old women stepped out. All three of them were wearing black ball gowns. The farthest to the right held a basket of yarn, the middle held a yarn ball and was un-doing it, and the one on the right held some scissors and was... cutting at the string? They had wrinkly faces and black eyes that held wisdom. Only one name for these three came to mind. The Moirai, or, more commonly known as, the Fates. The one with the basket must be Clotho the spinner, the one un-doing the ball of yarn must be Lachesis the measurer and the last one must be the cutter, Atropos.
In the Lachesis' hands was a small red ball of yarn. It looked like it could be prepared to be unraveled. The ball of red yarn also had an orange glow to it. As they walked past it, I heard them whisper "She will die by the end of her journey..." My eyes widened and I spun around. Though it was too late, they were gone. And I think I know whose life yarn belonged to.
Third Person P.O.V
While Chris thought of the girl in fear, the same girl was just leaving her apartment with two other people. One was a girl, the other was a boy. The girl had silver hair in a ponytail and black eyes. She wore a creamed coloured dress and was really excited. The boy had black hair and a golden eye. Singular, not plural. He wore black dress pants and a teal dress shirt that was un-tucked. His hair had a sort of bed head look and was messy. The first girl had gold eyes like the boy and long, wavy orange hair that stopped above her waist. Her silver dress hugged her body and showed her figure. You could see a bit of her back, but not much.
And this girl's name was the exact one Chris was thinking of in fear.
Rebecca Phoenix.
