"And the next round is a race! Guilds choose your fastest wizard to take part!" Chapati announced.

"Let me go!" Natsu said.

"Don't you remember what happened last year?" Lucy asked. Natsu had a question mark leave his head.

"The train." Wendy said. Natsu went pale.

"I'll sit this one out." He said as he sat down.

Chapter Five: The Race.

Every guild chose their mage.

Quattro Cerberus -  Bacchus.

Blue Pegasus - Hibiki Lates.

Lamia Scale - Tobi Horhorta.

Fairy Tail A - Erza Scarlet.

Mermaid Heel - Miliana.

Fairy Tail B - Gajeel Redfox.

Sabertooth - Rogue Cheney.

Phoenix A - Emiko Seishin.

Phoenix B - Akihito Hisoka.

All the opponents were stood at a starting line.

"To win this round, you must simply get through a course which will be set and the rules are simple. There are no rules!" Chapati explained. Suddenly, a whole course was created in front of them and a part of the course... Had a train. Emiko, Rogue and Gajeel went pale and slightly blue.

"Poor Rogue. I wonder if that Emiko girl has motion sickness." Sting said.

"You're not even on the train! Stop throwing up!" He heard Yukichi shout. Sting looked up at the Phoenix Guild and saw a very ill looking Etsuko. He sweat dropped.

"I'm sorry, but the sight of that thing turns my stomach inside out." Etsuko said. She held her mouth and then ran off.

"Come on Emiko! You can do it! Don't let the sickness get in the way of your duty!" Kino shouted.

"I don't wanna do this anymore." Emiko cried.

"What's going on?" Hakuoh asked with a yawn as she woke up. She got up and looked at the train. She then held her stomach and out a hand over her mouth as she turned slightly green.

"You as well?!" The others exclaimed.

"And... Begin!" Chapati shouted. Everyone ran up some stairs and on the train. As soon as they got on the train, Gajeel, Rogue and Emiko stopped with their motion sickness.

"Damn... It..." Gajeel said.

"I think... I'm gonna hurl..." Rogue said. Emiko weakly got out a key.

"Open... Gate of the Phoenix... Fenikkusu." Emiko said. Fenikkusu appeared and picked Emiko up. She then dropped Emiko off at the end of the train and Emiko began to run. Rogue and Gajeel looked at each other. They then tried their best to get off the train.

In the race, Bacchus and Erza were neck on neck for first place. Following was Miliana and then Tobi. Akihito wasn't far behind as he was neck on neck with Hibiki.

"So, from what I read in the magazines, your popular with the ladies." Hibiki said. Akihito glanced at him before looking forward.

"Speed magic." Akihito said. His feet began to glow white and he began to run faster.

"So rude." Hibiki said. Emiko then caught up with him and he smirked. "Hey there." He said. Emiko ignored him and continued to run faster, over taking him. "Is everyone from the Phoenix Guild like this?" Hibiki asked. Rogue and Gajeel managed to jump off the train and catch up with Hibiki.

"Don't think I'm gonna let you win Scarlet." Bacchus grinned.

"Same to you!" Erza said.

"None of you are gonna be in first alone." Akihito said. He had caught up with them. The two went wide eyed. The threw all dashed towards the finish line, only to tie in first place. Followed in fourth was Miliana, then Tobi. Emiko came sixth while Gajeel, Rogue and Hibiki tied in last.

"Well, this is the first time that's ever happened." Chapati said. "Since there was a tie for first, each of them will gain 5 points each. Fourth gained 4, fifth gained 3, sixth gained 2 and the three who tied last gained 1." Chapati explained.

"Go Aki!" Kaisai shouted. Akihito sent her a glare, which made her freeze in her spot.

"We're last?!" Sting exclaimed.

"Both the Phoenix Teams are first." Yukino said.

"Next year, we're so having two teams." Sting grumbled.

"Well folks, we're going to take a quick break and then we'll be back for the last tournament of the day." Chapati said.

"Well done for getting us to third Erza." Makarov said.

"Thank you Master." Erza said.

"Next time we participate, we need at least 10 points to become tied with the Phoenix Guild." Makarov said. He looked at Kino who was cheering. "They're our competition. We need to beat them to become first." Makarov said.

"And we are backs folks. It's time for a one on one battle." Chapati said. "This one is Fairy Tail A vs Phoenix A. How exciting!" Chapati said. The King, who was watching the entire thing, smirked. He's the one who got this match organised. "Erza Scarlet Vs Daisuke Akio!"

"What?" Erza asked.

"I'm against Erza?" Daisuke questioned.

"This should be entertaining." Jura said. Daisuke and Erza walked into the arena and faced each other.

"I won't lose. Don't expect me to go easy on you." Erza said. Daisuke smirked as he looked down and laughed slightly. He put his hand on his hip and looked at Erza.

"I won't lose either. I do have an advantage after all." He said.

"Oh? Mind telling me what that is?" Erza asked.

"A photographic memory. I watched the Games last year and saw all the armour your mostly use. I know how to encounter each of your attacks and I can calculate an outcome on every possible way." Daisuke said as he closed his eyes, remembering last year's Grand Magic Games.

"He's got that grin on his face." Yukichi said.

"You can do it Daisuke-San!" Naomi cheered.

"I wonder what the percentage of Erza winning is." Emiko said. Erza changed her armour to her robe of Yūen and pointed her spear at Daisuke.

"Enough talk. Let's start." She said.

Hi everyone. Sorry It's been awhile since I update. I've wrote as much as possible on most of my books today because I won't be updating much due to final exams starting on Tuesday. So this book along with the others won't be updated much for a few weeks.
