The Sneaky Plot Begins

"Chloe! Chloe!" a voice hissed above me.

"Stop waking me up, I'm trying to sleep," I answered sleepily, trying to shrug off whoever tried to wake me up from my peaceful slumber.

"But, Chloe. Have you forgotten what we've planned to do tonight?"

I recognized the voice that belonged to none other than Fred Weasley. A smile crept its way up my lips and I slowly opened my eyes. We'd planned to rescue our friend, Harry Potter. Ron and I got very worried about him over the summer when he didn't answer our messages that we'd written to him. Ron and I had asked George if they wanted to help, and they agreed without hesitation, knowing that Harry was like family to us.

I hopped out of bed, sliding my slippers on, and taking down the house coat that had been draped on the edge of my desk chair near the bed. When I looked up, I could see Fred grinning broadly.

"What?" I asked casually.

"I knew that would wake you up, sis!" he answered, giggling quietly.

"Yeah, shut up. Let's go get Harry before Mr. and Mrs. Weasley find out that we'd stolen the car."

I slapped Fred on the shoulder and we both left the house. When we sprinted silently across the large yard to the shed where Mr. Weasley kept his car, George and Ron were already there, getting everything set up. Ron looked up when he heard us come in and grinned.

"We've got it all set, guys. Are we ready to go and save our friend?" Ron whispered, to not attract any attention.

"Yeah. Ready when you are. Oh, I hope that Harry is okay!"

"He will be, mate," Ron answered reassuringly. He patted me on the shoulder. "Alright. Let's get into this car, now."

We got into the car and flew off. Finally, we reached Sheffield. I could see Number 4 Privet Drive and pointed it out to the rest of my family. We got the car closer to the window of Harry's bedroom.

"Just a little further. A little further. That's it," I said. I rolled down the window and gave Harry the biggest grin. "Hi, Harry."

Harry had a relieved smile on his face and he inched closer to the flying car.

"Ron! Fred! George! Chloe! W-What are you guys doing here?"

"Rescuing you, of course! Now, c'mon! Get your trunk!"

Harry quickly began to pack his stuff into his Hogwarts suitcase, throwing it all in there, knowing that he could pack them correctly once we got to the Burrow. He finally snapped the trunk shut and Ron put a lobster claw hook on the rails that he barred Harry from escaping. Which I thought was rather cruel of his aunt and uncle to do so.

"You better stand back," Ron strongly advised.

Harry nodded and stepped back against the small closet.

"Drive!" Ron demanded Fred, who was at the steering wheel.

Fred stomped aggressively on the pedal and drove until the cord attached to the claw tore down the window, along with the bars. Immediately, we could hear outraged voices, and I knew that we had woken up the rest of Harry's abusive family.

"POTTER!" roared who, I could only guess, was Harry's uncle.

"Dad?! What's going on?!" said a terrified kid's voice. I knew that had to be Harry's cousin.

"C'mon, Harry! Hurry up!" Ron and I pleaded desperately.

Harry managed to get Hedwig passed over to me, where Ron sat her cage down gently on the floor. But just as Harry was about to escape, the bedroom door slammed open. The uncle stood there for one split second before charging after Harry.

"Petunia, he's escaping!" the uncle roared.

He managed to get a hold of Harry's ankle. Ron and I grabbed Harry by the chest, trying to keep him on our side.

"Get off me!" Harry demanded.

"Ah, you and those bloody pigeons aren't going anywhere!" the man growled in return.

"Drive!" Ron demanded frantically his brother.

Fred stomped, hard, once again on the breaks, and began to drive away. Harry's uncle let go of him and he fell directly into the bushes. The aunt and Harry's cousin let out shrieks of fear. I could see Harry grinning as he looked down below them before shutting the door shut.

"Er . . . . Chloe?" said Ron innocently.

"Yes, Ronald?"

"Well, we've got a bit of a problem."

"What's that?" I asked, confused. I clearly felt clueless about everything.

"Well, a bunch of Harry's stuff is already taking over the empty seat and part of the floor. I've taken over one seat with Hedwig's cage on my lap, and you are the only free one with nothing in your lap."

"Okay? What are you trying to tell me?"

Ron smirked mischievously. I knew that smirk, as I've lived with him basically my entire life. I could feel the dread settling into the pit of my stomach. He was obviously planning something to embarrass me.

"So, your lap is clearly free enough for Harry to sit on it until we get back to the Burrow."

He grinned at me and I could feel my cheeks heating up. I was so glad that it was dark out, because I was so embarrassed with Ron's snarky comments.

"Ron!" I whined.

"What? It's the truth."

"I hate you," I grumbled.

"Love you, too, sis," Ron grinned in return.

I sighed reluctantly. Not that I didn't mind Harry on my lap. But Professor Dumbledore's words from last year about the two of us had been bugging my mind all summer.

"Fine. Come over here, Harry," I said, patting my lap.

In the faint moonlight, I could see Harry's face looking slightly red. He moved over to sit on my lap, and got himself comfortable. I tried to not get too embarrassed as I wrapped my arms securely around his wait to keep him in place as we flew back to the Burrow.
