Gold
"It's been two days, the fire nation is still on your ass," Jet had his arms crossed standing with Zuko while the captain was at the steer.
"I know and at night they get closer it seems," Zuko nodded slowly.
"Kat, today we have to go see oak and maple, I want ty Lee and mai coming, Jet I need you to act as second in command, if zhao comes along I need you sharp," Zuko called to Katara then turned to Jet.
"We're getting the spirit water today, but we need to make it fast cause I know zhao will send a few men after to watch us," he walked down to Katara who met him in the middle.
"If he's looking for me should I not go then? They might recognize me," Katara crossed her arms.
"You, mai, and Ty Lee are wearing matching clothes and cloaks, hoods up and eyes down, we'll get there high noon, be ready," he passed her and went to pass on the message to mai and ty Lee as Katara crossed her arms.
"You okay?" Jet noticed from above her anxiousness.
"Fine," she replied short.
"Come, talk, I'm steering and trying to stay awake," Jet motioned up and Katara huffed walking up to him.
"What?" He asked again.
"Lees acting strange," she kept her arms crossed standing next to Jet.
"He's on edge with the whole Ozai blood bath he's looking forward too," Jet raised a brow.
"Why does he want Ozai dead so bad?" Katara leaned against the railing a little curious.
"Vengeance mostly, but pure hatred for him, when I joined was when they got in the last bad battle," Jet nodded slowly watching the clouds and felt the wind against his face.
"First time I saw him he came limping back on the ship with a sword through his thigh and his face was covered with blood, I didn't see his scar till he cleaned up," he grinned a little.
"I knew he was going to be a hard ass captain, what crazy man just cleans his wounds out in the open," Jet laughed a little shaking his head.
"The one that sees better in the sun than candle light, it gets to dark in the quarter," Zuko was passing by with the map making Jet scream in fear jumping away and into Katara.

"Captain Lee!" The little girl ran from her grandfather who was in a wheel chair at a tent.
"Miss maple, pleasure to see you again," Zuko bowed on one knee to her as he took her tiny hand to shake gently.
"Pleasure," maple giggled shaking his hand with both of hers.
"Lee boy nice to see you," oak rolled over to the four.
"What can I do for you lad? How's your old man?" Oak grinned up at them.
"Still breathing, can't get rid of him that easy," Zuko crossed his arms smiling.
"Pinky, gloomy," oak winked over.
"Hiya oak," Ty Lee waved.
"Oi, heads up, possible fire nation close by, stay on guard and keep your girl close," Zuko said in a low tone to the crippled criminal with the six year old.
"Aye, understood, come along," oak waved them over to his tent and maple ran to them to pull the string so the curtains hid them.
"I'm proud to say I didn't have to loose anything to get it, traded a few gems and pieces but I got you your spirit water, maple dear," oak reached ahead and his granddaughter was on it already.
"It just looks like water, the spirit world is suppose to be glowing," maple grabbed a box and set it on the table.
"It glows when I heal," Katara smiled softly going to the box to check it.
She opened seeing a small jar of water and picked it up. She smiled softly, she knew it was real spirit water, it was a feeling.
"Kat?" Zuko looked at her to confirm.
"We're good," she smiled.
"Pleasure to work with You again oak," he set a large bag of coins on the table with maple.
"All gold," he opened it for the six year old to see and check.
"Yay Lee!" Maple smiled brightly as she picked up a piece and bit at it.
"Give it to ty Lee, we'll wrap up business and head back," Zuko looked at Katara and she nodded doing so.
Katara looked at Ty Lee but her heard stopped seeing a man peaking in. He was fire nation.
"Oi, private business you bugger," oak barked noticing as ty Lee immediately put the box in her cloak. Mais eyes widen grabbing a knife to put ty Lee behind her.
"Admiral they're in here! It's pirates!" The fire nation soldier called.
"Shit, get back to the ship! Now!" Zuko demanded pulling back the curtain in the back.
Three fire nation soldiers came in the tent and Zuko pulled out his blades as the girls escaped.
"Captain captain captain," zhao walked in slowly as oak pulled maple to him as she looked petrified. Zuko stood in front of them with a glare.
"A pirate that forged the fire nations princess signature, that's punishable by death if I knew any better," zhao chuckled looking at him.
"It's not forged," Zuko frowned.
"So youre not an undercover ship that's looking for the princess of the southern water tribe?" Zhao snorted a little.
"There's rumors of who's taken her, I'm narrowing down my options," he shrugged.
"So your not a pirate?" Zhao didn't believe him still.
"I'm not," Zuko narrowed his eyes.
"I've never seen a soldier with that scar, tell me where you got it," zhao took a step forward.
"Training accident, it was another fire bender on accident," Zuko inhaled a deep breath not stepping back. Zhao took another step closer and they heard maple squeak in fear hiding her face in her grandfathers shoulder.
"Are You pirates?" Zhao looked at the two behind the captain.
"No sir, I'm a simple merchant with my granddaughter," oak replied calmly.
"So you don't mind if we took a look around?" Zhao tilted his head to the side.
"You don't have the rights, earth kingdom land," Zuko huffed a little getting more irritated.
"Alright then... we'll stay in touch captain," zhao backed up with his hands up.
"Burn it all down," he smiled as he turned around to leave.
Flamed immediately engulfed the tents front.
"Come on we need to go," Zuko put his swords away and opened the back of the tent. He gasped a little seeing fire nation soldiers tearing down other tents and burning whatever they pleased.
"Take the gold," oak inhaled a deep breath with maple on his lap.
"What?" Zuko frowned.
"Take the gold back, this may be my last sell," oak coughed a little at the smoke as he barely could wheel himself out of the burning tent. The wheelchair was to old and the man weighed to much.
"You can't stay on the ship with me till we get you and maple somewhere safe, Ty Lee has the spirit water, you can keep your gold," Zuko tried to wheel them himself but oak stopped him.
"Take my darling, she means more to me than any gem and any piece of gold," oak rasped and saw soldiers coming to them. They were starting to round up pirates.
"Pops?" Maple looked at him wide eyes.
"You're both coming with," Zuko snarled.
"Maple You be a good girl for your pops okay? My smart sweet syrup," oak kissed his grand daughters head kindly and took her off his lap.
"Go please, give Xan a good work for me okay? I'll see that fucker soon enough," oak chuckled as he pushed himself back a little.
"Hey! You! Stop!" Fire nation soldiers ran to them.
Zuko didn't hesitate to scoop up maple and broke into a sprint with her in his arms. He ignored her sobbing yells for her grandpa as she was reaching over his shoulder.
Oak looked to the side and sighed disappointed seeing the bag of gold.
"What a dumb kid," he smiled not paying any mind to the soldiers that raised a spire at him above.
