The dessert night was cold, and the pharaoh and his queen's caravan wasn't keeping the heat in. and all you could hear was the guards barking orders at each other.

"Keep your guard up!" the king's guard barked at the others.

"Do they really have to be so loud?" carnelia mumbled.

"Well they're doing their jobs! Keeping us safe" Ames said reasonably. Carnelia laughed.

"Very true... but still, they could just talk normally, it's not like they're miles away from each other!" she pointed out.

"I know, just let them do their thing" Ames chuckled. The queen smiled.

"I can't wait to get home! I miss my baby girl! Anay must have been so lonely without us!" She said excitedly, the king nodded.

"Indeed, but she had her sister with her, so I'm sure she was fine," he said. carnelia rolled her eyes.

"Tch, that girl doesn't even care about anay, anili never even paid attention to her, what makes you think she'll start now??" she scoffed. The king sighed.

"Well... it's not like we pay much attention to her... maybe she's a bit jealous?" Ames suggested, the queen shrugged.

"Have it be like that, Anili doesn't need the extra love like anay, she's lived like that for twelve years, she can go one forever, for all i care... she was alway so cold hearted anyway, loving her wouldn't do anything for her" she sneered, the king sighed sadly.

"Whatever you say my dear" he sighed. Suddenly, the guards went quiet, " that's strange... Why did they stop talking??" ames muttered, he peaked out of the caravan, and reeled back in surprise, quickly closing the door to the caravan. The ground was littered with the guards bodies, blood oozed out of deep wounds.

"What's going on??" the queen whispered.

"I don't know, just find a hiding spot and stay there" he whispered back to her, he pulled out his sword. The queen hid behind a large pile of pillows and blankets, it wasn't the best, but it would have to do. Ames sighed and jumped out of the caravan with his sword at the ready.

"Ohohoho! wow, so the great pharaoh comes out to fight!! I'm sorry my friend, but you're very outnumbered" a voice ran from above. The king looked around to see a group of people balancing on the caravan, and a second black caravan that had pulled up next to them.

Ames backed away a bit, " what do you want!? Why are you here?" he commanded.

"Now that is classified" the person who seemed like the leader said slyly. He quickly lunged at the king and three others followed, the king quickly went down he was pinned on the ground and had a knife to his neck in seconds. " aw, you know, i would have thought the pharaoh would have been harder... not that i'm complaining" the leader said, " now get the queen" she snapped, two of the other bandits snuck into the caravan and dragged Carnelia out.

"W-WHAT'S GOING ON!? THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A QUEEN!!" she yelled and they forced her to the ground. She struggled and thrashed, but she got pinned down with the hilt of a sword.

"You're going to die, so there is no point trying to fight, especially with those little twig arms of yours" one of the bandits sneered.

"Who sent you!" the king hissed, trying to by some time. The bandit leader laughed.

"Oh wouldn't you like to know!' she sneered, putting pressure on the sword, cutting into the king's neck. The queen looked at them, her eyes filled with fear. Ames coughed up blood the deeper the sword went deeper into his neck. " Kill the queen" the leader said bluntly, ames's eyes went wide.

"NO!" he choked out blood poured out of his neck, staining the sand underneath him red. " kill me and let her live! Please!" he said, blood dribbled from his mouth. The bandit laughed.

"Sorry, but we're being paid for this, and if we go back with only half of our targets killed... Anili won't be so happy" she said grinning. The king's eyes went wide. And the queen bursted out, outraged, sitting up on her knees with her hands pinned to her back.

"THAT UNGRATEFUL BRAT!" she screamed " HOW DARE SH-" her neck slit open, and she fell over. Ames looked at her horror filled his eyes. ""Why would she do this!? My own daughter? Is this payback for something i'm unaware of?!"" he frantically thought about what he had done to push Anili to do something like this.

"Awww, how sad... your... brute of a wife just died in front of your eyes... how does it feel??" The leader said in a mocking tone. " I mean, if my daughter set up a trap to kili me, I'd be pretty mad... then again... i'm not a wimpish man like you" she sneered.

"You'll pay for this" the king forced out.

"Oh i hardly doubt it!" the bandit lagged, she looked down at the king and smiled, " now say bye bye to your wife's body and tell her see you in heaven '' snarled as she finished cutting through the king's neck with one slice of her sword. And then the world went black, only black, there was nothing but black. And then the king was gone, there was nothing left of him, just a soulless body. The bandit cleaned off her sword. " alright! Time to head back, i'm sure the princess will hear of this soon, and our payment will come shortly after," she said out loud, " let's all go have some fun! And have a toast to our future pharaoh!!" she smiled.
