Epilogue

-4 years later-

"What's this one's name?" Harry asked as he took the puppy from his client's hand. He placed the puppy on the examination table and smiled when the puppy crooked its head, looking at Harry curiously.

"Casey" The client replied.

"That's a cute name." Harry smiled at the small puppy and looked back at his client before asking another question. "What seems to be the problem?" Harry asked, avoiding his eye contact.

His client proceeded to explain the issue and Harry nodded, taking in everything. He moved to check Casey and gave it necessary care afterward.

Harry graduated college and started his work as a veterinarian. Soon after he started his own animal hospital and he is successfully running it with Louis' help here and there.

He waved the puppy goodbye and smiled at his client when she thanked him. He sighed as he sat back in his chair and checked the clock on the wall. Thankfully it was time to leave because he was getting tired of all the social interactions he had to do today. He had many clients today and he was tired. He has gotten used to dealing with them by now and he finds it easy as he has to ask fewer social questions.

He picked up his bag from his break room and packed it before hiring an Uber in his phone. Louis can't pick him up today as he's working late, and Harry didn't get his driver's license due to medical reasons.

He got in the vehicle once it arrived and called Louis to let him know that he is going home.

"Hey, Lou. I'm going home." Harry said on the phone when his husband picked up the call.

"Hi, Haz. Okay. I'll be there too shortly. I'm just getting into my car." Louis said from the other end of the line. Harry hummed before bidding Louis goodbye and sitting back in his seat. It was only a 10 minutes drive to the house but since the traffic is high it is going to take around 20 minutes.

Harry laid his head against the window and looked outside at the people that are passing by the vehicle stuck in the traffic jam. He couldn't help but think about the time he was nonexistent in the world's eye. He thought about how naive he was about life until Louis came and changed it all. He took Harry on a whole new ride and taught him everything he needed to know about life. He smiled as he thought about his small husband's soft features and his confident self when he had to stand his ground when it came to dealing with Harry's problems. Harry always felt so protected when he had Louis by his side.

There have been times he had to be protective as well. Once, he punched a drunk man square in the face because he cornered Louis and tried to kiss him. It was a mess afterward because he rarely gets mad, but when he gets mad, he finds it hard to control his anger. Louis had to drag him away from the situation so he wouldn't kill the man.

Their life together has been ups and downs so far but it is always filled with love and mutual understanding. Harry wouldn't have his life any other way.

The curly-haired lad was snapped out of his thoughts when the Uber driver stopped the car in front of his and Louis' house. He got out of the vehicle after paying the driver and went inside the house.

"Hi, Albie!" He greeted his good old worker and smiled when the old man greeted him back. He walked up the stairs to the master bedroom and placed his bag inside the walk-in closet. He took off his clothes and threw them in the hamper there before grabbing a bathrobe hanging there and shrugging it on. He walked out to the bedroom to get to the bathroom but stopped when he saw Louis entering the bedroom.

"Hi, love." The smaller man walked over and placed a kiss on Harry's lips.

"Hi. I just came home too. Gonna take a quick shower." Harry said after pulling away from the brief kiss.

"Give me a second. I will join you too." The blue-eyed man winked at Harry and he knew what was coming.

-

"Harry?" Louis called in a small tone. They were currently laying in their bed with Louis' head on Harry's chest and the taller man running his fingers through the smaller man's hair.

"Yeah?' Harry whispered back.

"I want children," Louis said after a long pause. He thought about this for a while before voicing it to Harry. He feels like they have fallen into a routine, and it is starting to get too repetitive for Louis' liking. Of course, there are times when Harry has meltdowns or shutdowns, but Louis has learned to deal with them. Other than those surprising times, their lives have become pretty boring.

"Why?" Harry asked pulling back from their embrace and looking at Louis.

"Because I love them and our lives are too repetitive now. I want to add another member to our little family." Louis explained, knowing Harry wanted to have full answers to his whys.

"I like children too." Harry said after thinking for a while, making Louis smile.

"Shall we look into adoption?" Louis asked, eyes twinkling with hope.

"Yeah, okay." Harry smiled at his excited husband.

-

-6 months later-

"What do you want for brekky today, Jaime?" Louis asked, bouncing the sleepy 1-year-old in his arm. They have managed to adopt a little boy 3 months ago.

"How about some nice fruitties in this tiny little tummy of yours?" He tickled the little one's tummy a bit making him erupt into a fit of giggles.

"Good morning, babies." Harry smiled, entering the dining room after getting dressed for work. He has made it a habit to call Louis and Jaime 'babies'. Louis found it adorable.

"Say hi to Daddy." Louis handed the smaller one over to Harry and smiled when Harry placed some kisses all over the little kid's face.

"We were just about to have brekky. Let me just go and ask Martha to get him some fruits." Louis said before leaving the dining room to get to the kitchen.

"Did you sleep nice, love?" Harry asked as he sat on one of the dining room's chairs and placed the little one on the dining table. He still placed a hand behind the smaller one so he wouldn't fall over.

"ya, Da" Jaime nodded. He can speak some one-syllable words like 'ya', 'Da', and 'Pa'. He uses the latter two sounds to address Harry and Louis.

Louis returned after a while with a small plate of fruits along with a sippy cup half filled with juice, and Martha came after him with Harry's and Louis' breakfast plates.

Harry carefully stood up and sat Jaime in the highchair and Louis sits on a chair beside the highchair. The blue-eyed man started feeding the small one his fruit while taking bites from his breakfast once in a while.

"Mommy is coming to visit this weekend," Harry said before taking a bite from his pancake. He still hated spicy food and avoided them.

"That's great! I'll ask my mom to come too." Louis said with a smile and the taller lad nodded with a smile.

-

"Hi, Anne!" Louis hugged the woman as he opened the door wider for her to step inside.

"Hello, Robin." Louis smiled at the man that followed Anne into the house. Robin and Anne married two years ago. Louis can't be happier for the woman for moving on with her life after finally getting divorced from Desmond.

Desmond and Edward continue with the Styles Co. and Louis left the place after Desmond got out of prison. Desmond has changed a lot but Louis and Harry made sure to stay away from the man because they wanted nothing to do with Harry's abuser. Edward however hasn't changed a bit and still tried to make death threats to Harry and Louis which landed him behind bars for several weeks due to the restraining order Louis has gotten.

"Where's our little Jaime?" Anne asked as she walked further into the house and smiled when she heard giggles coming from the living room. She found Harry laying on the couch with Jaime sitting on his chest and giggling as he tried to cover Harry's eyes with his small hands.

"Here he is!" Anne cheered, successfully gaining both Jaime's and Harry's attention. Jaime squealed happily as he pointed at his grandma.

"Hi! How is my favorite guy in the whole world doing?" She asked as she stole the baby away from Harry's hands. Harry sat up and greeted Robin before walking him over to the couch.

Louis walked into the living room but turned around again when the doorbell rang once again. Albert was out for the weekend, visiting his grandkids, so it's Louis' responsibility to get the door today.

"Hi, Mommy!" Louis jumped into his mother's embrace right after he opened the door and then hugged his dad, too. He led them into the house, and Jay soon joined Anne and Jaime, and Mark went to sit with Harry and Robin. Louis went to the kitchen and asked Martha to bring everyone some tea and cookies.

He sat next to Harry on the loveseat and watched as their mothers bounced Jaime around, making the little boy giggle. He smiled fondly before focusing back to the conversation goin on between Harry, Robin, and Mark.

"Yeah, but it can get tiring sometimes. Glad I have to deal with animals more though." Harry said smiling a bit when both Robin and Mark chuckled.

"Dealing with Louis must be enough human contacts for you." Mark said teasingly earning a whiny 'heyy' from Louis. Harry looked confused, not really getting on the sarcasm but laughed along with others nonetheless.

Martha came in with some tea after a while with some plates full of cookies and pastries. Louis took it upon himself to make everyone's teas as they munched on the snacks. Jay fed bits of cookies to Jaime, too, much to Louis' protest because that makes Jaime hyped up and it's hard to put him to bed for the naptime.

The family spent the evening talking with each other and sharing stories from their lives. Harry excused himself after a while saying he was tired. Anne gave him a knowing look and Louis nodded smiling at the green-eyed man.

Harry walked into the master bedroom and went into the closet. He rummaged through his bag before he found what he was looking for; the promise ring he bought for Louis. He wanted to have a wedding, and this time with himself standing next to Louis on the aisle, not Edward acting as him. He talked with his mother about that, and she was very supportive of the idea. She told him to renew their vows, and she came with him when he went to buy the ring as well.

He took in a deep breath before he walked out of the room with the small velvet box tucked securely in his pant's front pocket. He descended the stairs and walked into the living room. Everyone except Louis gave him encouraging smiles. Louis just stared at him, confused because if Harry left a social situation saying he was tired, he wouldn't leave the room for the rest of the day.

"What's wrong, love?" Louis asked as he stood from his place on the couch and walked over to his husband.

"I-I" Harry was starting to panic a little, so he decided to just go for it. He took the box out of his pocket and got down on one knee. He popped the box open before looking at Louis. The blue-eyed man has his eyes wide and tears already forming in his eyes.

When Harry was thinking of what to say before he proposed to Louis, he came up with trillions of ideas but none of them seemed appealing as the simple questions straight away with the explanation as to why he needs Louis to say yes. That's how their relationship has always been; straightforward.

"Will you marry me, Lou? I wanna stand next to you on the aisle and say our vows." Harry asked, smiling nervously at his husband.

"Yes! Yes!" Louis jumped up and down before making Harry stand up and hugging him. Harry laughed, relieved, as he hugged Louis tight into his arms. They pulled back after a few seconds and Harry slid the new ring into Louis' finger which already had a ring in it.

"Pa! Da!" Jaime squealed from his place in Mark's arms. Both Harry and Louis turned towards their son, and Harry took the baby into his hands.

"Guess who's the ring bearer?" Louis asked placing a kiss on Jaime's cheek.

"Me!" Jaime squealed as if he knew what Louis meant. Everyone in the room laughed.

-

Harry and Louis had their wedding in their backyard one summer evening with a very small amount of people that they were close to. Little Jaime took his job of ring bearer very seriously, and Louis cried tears of joy as he watched his and Harry's son walking towards them down the aisle with their rings. Both husbands cried happy tears as they shared their vows and kissed in front of the people who cared about them.

-

"I wouldn't have this any other way, you know," Louis said as he raised his head from where it was buried in Harry's chest. They took their honeymoon to Hawaii and left Jaime with Jay and Mark for the few days they were in Hawaii. They are currently in the villa they rented.

"Same." Harry smiled at the smaller man before taking him in for another kiss. Louis giggled when Harry flipped them over on the bed so he was on top of Louis. The taller lad started attacking Louis' face with kisses, making him giggle more as Harry's curls tickled his face.

"I love you, Louis." Harry said once he was done with his attack of kisses. Louis smiled at his husband breathlessly.

"I love you too, Harry. Thank you for coming into my life." Louis could feel the tears prickling into his eyes.

"No, thank you for coming into my life. I wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for you." Harry smiled before wiping a tear away from Louis' face.
