2. Join These Sins

"Take a seat, Mr. Tomlinson." Desmond sent him a smile which is the fakest. He knew that Tomlinson would come back because there's no business who won't give up everything for their business that they spent so much sweat on.

"Thank you, Mr. Styles." Mark sat in front of the CEO of Styles co.

"So?" Desmond raised an eyebrow towards him.

"My son wants to meet your son first." Mark said.

"Uh... Yeah, sure." Desmond sent a hesitant smile and it had Mark suspicious.

"Is there something that I don't know about?" Mark asked with his eyebrows knitted together.

"No, of course not. It's just that he's out of town for few days on a business trip." He said with a nod at the end.

"Oh, okay. I think then they better talk and make a time for themselves over phone." Mark smiled.

"Yeah, I'd give you Ed- Harry's phone number." Desmond quickly corrected his little mishap and lucky for him, Mark didn't catch on it.

"Alright, I'll give it to Louis. I guess, Harry is your son?" Mark asked.

"Yeah, he is." Desmond said pulling out his phone.

-

"Edward! Edward!" Desmond called out as he almost ran into their big mansion. Edward came rushing down the stairs.

"Yes, dad?" He asked with wide eyes, because he has never seen his dad this rushed.

"Louis would call you now. Where's your phone? I called you a million times but you didn't answer!" Desmond scolded his son. (I call you but you never even answer.)

"It's in my room. I put it on charger." Edward said sheepishly.

"You are a future CEO, Edward! Be more responsible!" Desmond's voice boomed through the house which had Anne rushing down the stairs.

"What's wrong?" She knew that her husband is irritated over something. Desmond just ignored her as he yelled at Edward again.

"Go and get your phone, now."

That had Edward running up the stairs.

"What's happening?" Anne asked again.

"What's happening? Harry is happening. It's basically your fault that Harry is like that. You kept babying him and now he has a brain of a 10 year old. Now I have to invest on a never growing business to get your son a husband. Get that freak a husband, Anne!" He whisper-yelled, making Anne's eyes fill with tears.

"He's- he's your son too, Des." Anne stuttered out through hiccups.

"I said many times that no son of mine is an autistic freak!" Desmond said through gritted teeth. Anne just ran out of the room because she knew that the sight of her alone is enough to set Desmond on fire.

Edward finally came rushing down the stairs with his phone.

"Has Louis called yet?" Desmond asked.

"I don't know his number, dad." Edward stating the obvious.

"Then check if you have missed calls from an unsaved number." Des growled out angrily. Edward nodded and went through 28 missed calls he has. Twenty seven of them were from his dad and one was from as unsaved number.

"Yeah, there's one. Should I call back, dad?" Edward asked.

"Wait. Listen to me with open ears before you call him back. If it's Louis, you are Harry, okay? You are Harry Styles. Well, it won't matter if he searched on internet. You both have the same name anyway." Desmond smiled a mischievous smile.

"Okay, dad." Edward agreed and dialed the unknown number.

"Hello, good evening. I have a missed call from this number. May I know who this is?" Edward asked in his usual charming tone.

"Oh, uh- is this- is this Harry?" A squeaky yet beautiful voice could be heard from the other end. Edward just knew that it was Louis because Harry doesn't have a phone for starters and no other person knew that he exists.

"Yes. Not to sound rude but who's this?" Edward asked just to make sure.

"This is Louis, Louis Tomlinson." He heard Louis say.

"Oh, Louis. Hi." Edward decided to act a little shy because after all this is a proposal.

"Hi!" Louis squeaked out from the other end and a giggle followed the word. Edward instantly smiled at the beautiful sound but stopped himself before he could feel anything towards Louis because Louis is for Harry, not for himself. He's just helping his big brother or is he?

He looked at Desmond and saw him nod encouragingly at him. Edward nodded and started talking with Louis.

"So, how are you doing?" Edward asked.

"I'm doing good. How about you and your family?"

"We all are good." Edward looked back at his dad when he started doing hand gestures to say something.

"Ask about a time to meet him." Desmond mouthed. Edward nodded and was about to ask that when Louis talked.

"To be honest, I wanted to meet up with you first to give my word about this proposal but my dad said that you are out of town." Louis said.

"Me? Out of town?" Edward asked confused but hissed when Desmond hit the back of his head.

"Ow- oh, yeah, yeah. I came to- I came to LA for a bit but I come back tomorrow." Edward quickly made up a lie.

"Uh- okay?" Louis sounded a bit suspicious, making Edward panic thinking he messed everything up.

"Yeah. Um... so, we can meet each other on next Friday if you are free." He quickly changed the subject.

"Around what time?" Louis asked.

"Around 4pm?" Edward looked at his dad for confirmation and saw him nod at him.

"Yeah, I'll be free by then."

"That's great. I'll pick you up from your house around 3.30 if it's okay with you." Edward said trying to be more charming and win Louis' heart for Harry's sake.

Louis' giggles filled the line between them for few seconds before he answered.

"Okay, but where do we go?" Louis asked.

"That's a surprise because I consider this as a date." Edward hoped that Louis would fall for his little tricks. His hope came true when Louis lets out another string of giggles.

"I do too." Louis whispered to the line before it went dead.

Edward stared at the black screen of his phone with a smile until his dad's voice startled him out of his trance.

"Very good, son. You did great! He's definitely gonna like you and Harry's gonna marry soon." He let out laughter of happiness while patting Edward's back. Edward felt a guilty feeling creep up but he ignored it because he has benefits of this.

He watched as his dad walks out of the room and started going up the stairs but before he could go very far he heard his mom's voice from behind.

"Edward?" He turned around to find her with tear tracks down her face. His mother crying wasn't an odd sight for him. He saw her with tear filled eyes at least twice a day.

"Did he agree to meet up with you?" Anne asked.

"Yes, mom. Why did you cry?" He walked over to her and wiped a tear drop from her face.

"It's just- do you- do you think that Harry is ready to live a family life? He's still a kid at heart, Edward." Anne started crying again. Edward immediately pulled her into a hug.

"I don't know about that mom but I do what dad tells me to do." Edward reasoned.

"I know, love. I'm sorry that you had to join these sins. I'm sorry." Anne cried into Edward's chest.

'I'll never do anything that doesn't give me a benefit.' Edward thought smirking but he chose to stay silent as he rubbed Anne's back.

-

"Wanna go out, mommy!" Harry banged his hands against the door of his room.

"We can't go out now, baby. Everyone is there and they'd see you. You know how scary your daddy is when he's angry, hm?" Anne ran her fingers through Harry's curls.

"But- but- I wanna go out!" He stomped his feet.

"Harry..." Anne said in a warning tone which went unnoticed by Harry. He chose to start crying instead. He cried as he banged his hands against the door.

He sat on the ground next to the door and started kicking it too. He wasn't having a meltdown just yet but it'll turn into one if Anne didn't take any action soon.

"Sh.. Harry- Harry, listen to mommy. Okay, I'll take you out to the backyard but only if you behave." Anne reasoned.

"Out!" Harry sent one particular hard kick to the door and it had the lock of the door breaking. Anne gasped as the door opened. She jumped forward and closed the door again. She leaned against it when Harry tried to open it again.

"Mommy!" Harry kicked the door again and stood off of the ground. He tugged at the door handle forcefully that it was getting harder and harder for Anne to keep the door closed.

He started humming quiet loudly and it was a starting sign of a meltdown. Anne didn't know what to do. She's basically stuck in between.

Harry twisted his fingers as he looked around the room still humming. He rocked back and forth and tried to tug on the door handle again only for Anne to stop him.

"Sh... Harry, it's okay. Calm down, love." Anne tried again but Harry's hums just got louder and he started banging his fisted arms against his head.

Anne jumped forward and took a hold of his hands. As she did that, the door opened just a crack. Harry easily snatched his hands away from his mother's hold and was about to run out of the door but Anne jumped in front of him again.

Harry growled under his breath as he dragged his fingernails against his face. He turned a circle around while humming and twisting his fingers.

Anne knew that he's gonna hurt her at this state because now he doesn't know what's wrong and right. Actually he doesn't have brain space to register what's right as his head is just a messed up mush that's filled with so many signals.

Anne watched as her son walks over to her. She was ready for anything.

Harry walked over to Anne and tugged on the door handle again. He let out a scream when it didn't open and banged his head against Anne's. She let out a cry of pain as her hands went to the place Harry hit.

That gave Harry the opportunity to run out of the door to the hallway.

"Harry!" Anne yelled out as she ran after him, forgetting about her swelling head.

Harry kept on running down the long hallway and when he's near the staircase he stopped immediately. He hummed louder as he spun a circle while twisting his fingers.

"What are you doing out of your room, Harry?" Edward who was coming up the stairs had his eyes wide staring at Harry.

Harry had always been afraid to go down the stairs. He has no problem going up them but not down. He looked around still humming loudly. He let out a scream that had Edward rushing up the stairs from where he stood surprised. The first thing Edward did was putting his palm over Harry's mouth and shutting him up. He didn't want anyone unnecessary hearing him and causing a scene but his action just worsened Harry's meltdown.

Anne finally rushed there and saw how Harry is struggling against Edward's hold. She ran over to her two sons and detached Edwards from Harry.

"Don't Edward. It just worsens this." Anne scolded. Harry started growling and hitting his head repeatedly.

"Sh... It's okay, love." Anne whispered as she looked down the stairs to make sure that no one is coming up them to check on the scream Harry made.

"Help me to take him to your room, Edward. He broke the lock of his room." Anne almost begged. Edward just nodded, still shocked and wrapped an arm around Harry to guide him to Edward's room. Harry immediately started struggling against him and Anne helped Edward as the boy brought his elder brother to his room.

Once in the room, Anne locked the door behind them. Harry was still hitting his head and occasionally scratching against his face. Anne tried catching his arms and stopping him but restraining him just worsened the meltdown.

For Anne's request, Edward rushed to Harry's room and came back with Harry's helmet and gloves. After much struggle they put those on him.

They watched as Harry rocked himself back and forth on the floor while hitting his helmet covered head with his glove covered hands. They didn't have anything to do other than waiting until the boy calms himself down.

Edward watched all of this with wide eyes. It's been few years since he has seen one of his brother's meltdowns. He wondered how Louis is gonna cope up with this all. From all the research he has done on the boy he's just a fragile crossdresser who has the biggest heart. He felt that guilty feeling again but he ignored it again.
