"Where is he?" Louis asked as he walked into Zayn's office room.
"He's in the cell no. 28." Zayn said. "Let me come with you."
Louis nodded and followed Zayn down the hallways.
"You didn't even lay an finger on him, right?" Louis asked once they are near the cell.
"No, we didn't. I don't know why you don't want him punched but we didn't."
"Thanks, Zee."
"Anything for you, blue. Let's go in. He must be awake by now."
They walked in and found a tied up Edward at the middle of the room. He was still out since the drug Zayn used to knock him out hasn't worn out yet.
"Hello!" Louis said sweetly as he took a chair and placed it in front of Edward.
"You thought wrong about me, didn't you? I'm not just the twink model, Eddie." Louis giggled.
"You did all the research along with your disgrace of a father and thought I would be the best target for your crime because you thought I'm weak. You know what? You never learnt a shit from the saying, 'Don't judge a book by its cover'." Louis smirked as he leaned over and licked his lips before whispering in still knocked out Edward's ear.
"Watch your brother come out and meet the world soon." Louis smirked as he got up from the chair and walked out of the cell.
"You have the right to punch the daylight out of him but never let him recognize any of you." The blue eyed boy told Zayn as they walked down the hallway back to Zayn's office.
-
"Edward doesn't answer his phone either. It's been what? A fucking week!" Desmond was pacing back and forth in the living room.
"Oh god, my baby." Anne dabbed her eyes with a tissue.
"Shut up! This is your entire fault!" Desmond slapped her across her face making Anne go still. Yeah, Desmond has thrown every mean word at her but he has never been physically abusive.
"D-Desmond?" She stared at her husband with unbelief written in her eyes while cupping her own cheek.
"I-"
The door to the living room opened and in came four police officers followed by Desmond's security. Desmond looked at them confused.
The officer pulled out a paper and showed it to Desmond. Before the officer could say anything, Desmond nodded away his security.
"What is it, officer?" He asked calmly.
"We are given a court order to check your house due to the given report about you keeping your disabled son hidden inside your mansion for years."
"What? I- I do not. My son is missing." Desmond tried to act innocent but he was panicking inside. Everything he built for years is crashing down right in front of him.
"Search around the house." An officer told the other ones ignoring Desmond's comment.
Desmond watched in horror as one officer walked into the house and other two walked up the stairs. He looked at the officer standing in front of him with the document still in his hand.
"You said your son is missing?" The officer asked.
"Yes."
"Why didn't you contact the police then?"
"I- We just thought we would find him soon."
"Well." The officer doesn't look convinced at all.
To Desmond's horror, he could hear the sound of Harry's high pitched cries from the upstairs.
The officer's head whipped towards the stairs and Desmond took the opportunit to run down the hallway to the kitchen but before he could run out the back door, he heard a loud bang from behind making him stand still with his hands held up.
"If you move an inch I'd have to shoot you." The officer said sternly. He walked over to the old man and when he's about to put handcuffs on Desmond, the businessman whipped out his own pistol and directed it towards the officer. The policeman was taken aback but before Desmond could pull the trigger, there was Anne slapping the pistol off of her husband's hand.
"Anne! You fucking bitch!"
"You both are under arrest for keeping your own son locked away. Everything you say and do right now will be held against you at the court." The officer looked at both Anne and Desmond.
-
"Sh... Harry, it's alright." Louis was trying his best to calm Harry down. When the officers barged into their room, Harry got scared and it triggered a meltdown and the loud bang of pulled trigger didn't help the situation either. Right now they both are sitting by the door of their room as Harry rocked back and forth while tugging on his hair.
"We have to take him to the police station, Mr. Styles." One of the two officers said.
"I know but it'll take some time for him to calm down." Louis sighed.
"We'll wait downstairs."
When Louis called the police, he told them to not to expose him while doing the investigation because god knows what Desmond Styles is capable of. Louis was starting to regret kidnapping Edward because it can come against him if they ever found out. He still stood a chance since he didn't expose himself to Edward and he mentally patted himself in the back for being smart enough to tell Zayn to never expose themselves either.
Harry's cries finally came to a stop just leaving his usual hums behind. Louis ran his fingers through Harry's sweaty fringe and Harry made eye contact with him before quickly looking away.
"Let's go. You are gonna go out with me." Louis said softly. Louis realized that it was Harry's first time going out of the house after he has gone out in the age of one and half years. Louis felt like he has a huge truck of bricks on his shoulder now because it hit his senses that Harry is his full responsibility now.
Louis' eyes got damp when he realized that what he did got Anne in trouble too. She was doing nothing wrong except being loyal to his husband all the time. She refused to disobey to Desmond's word even for her own son. Louis didn't know if she was right or wrong. She won as a wife but she failed as a mother.
"Out? Out to the backyard?" Harry's eyes lit up despite of his tired self.
"No, babe. We are going out in my car to the police." Louis sent the boy a smile.
"In my car to the police." Harry copied Louis' excited tone and Louis sighed as he got off the floor.
"C'mon. Let's go." Louis extended his hand for Harry support himself up from the carpeted floor.
"Where?"
"Let's go and see, sweetcheeks."
Harry and Louis walked down the stairs. Louis made sure to help the elder boy go down them and he felt his heart get bigger in size for his husband. He didn't know the feeling. Well, maybe he did but he was refusing to believe it.
Louis went to the front door and opened the door ignoring the hushed voices of few workers standing in the living room. Harry immediately covered his ears at the loud sound of sirens going off. It seems the officers are more than ready to leave.
"Can me and Harry drive to the station in my car, officer?" Louis asked one of the cops.
"Yes but make sure you get there right now or else it'll get you in trouble." The cop warned.
"Sure, officer." Louis nodded and turned around to find both Albert and Martha standing by the door. It seems like Martha is crying as Albert's face was settled into a frown.
"Lock the gates and stay until we come back." Louis said to the two loyal workers. They said 'yes, sir' with their heads hung low.
"Let's go, love." Louis wrapped an arm around Harry's middle before leading him to Desmon Styles' large garage. Louis immediately spotted his car and unlocked it. He opened the back door for Harry because he couldn't have Harry harmed if they ever got in an accident. They say, expect the unexpected.
He buckled Harry's seatbelt as Harry watched in curiosity.
"You are comfortable, right?" Louis asked and Harry just hummed while drumming his fingers against his shoulder.
"Alright, I'm gonna assume you're okay." Louis chuckled before getting into the driver's seat. He started the car and drove out of the garage.
Harry suddenly felt overwhelmed because he didn't understand a thing that's happening. Even though he has seen the cars in movies it was new experience to him. He was not familiar with any of this. He needed his mom.
"Mommy!" He let out a cry from the backseat.
"I'm sorry she's not with us, boo but we'll see her soon." Louis let out a sigh. He understood what Harry was feeling because he too would freak out if he had to go somewhere in a car when he ever hasn't been in a car.
"NO!"
"Sweetcheeks... Please love, calm down. Do you want my phone to play your games?" Louis asked as he reached for his phone on the middle console still driving. He handed it to Harry over his shoulder and sighed in relief when Harry immediately started playing on it.
Harry felt a bit grounded because he could play games. It's something he's familiar with. He kept on swiping the colorful candies on the screen and Louis soon pulled the car to the police station.
Louis felt his heart beat get louder because it was destined for Harry having a meltdown in there. It's his first time meeting that much of people. The biggest amount of people he has ever met is his family which is just six people including his nana, grandpa and Louis.
"Stay here till I come back." Louis turned on child lock on his car and went into the police station. They were putting taking Anne and Desmond in with their hands cuffed. Desmond was glaring at every single one as Anne had her head hung low.
"Where's Mr. Harry Styles, Mr. Louis Styles?" One of the officers asked as he lead Louis into a room.
"He's in the car. If I'm being honest, I'm afraid he'll have another breakdown if I get him in here. He's not familiar with people since he was inside his room for 22 years." Louis explained.
"Oh." The officer nodded before speaking up again. "We have to collect evidences and such. We also need a doctor's report with Mr. Harry's diagnosis." The officer explained.
-
When Louis was done with talking to the officer and telling everything he knows to the investigator, he realized that an hour has passed. Louis made sure to go and see if Harry was doing fine half an hour ago.
"We will need some of those CCTV recordings too, Mr. Styles." The officer was going on but Louis' mind was elsewhere. He just needed to go and check on Harry.
"Okay, officer." Louis was glad when the officer finally stopped talking.
"Alright. You are free to go but with the rule that you are ordered to be here at any time we ask you to. And also, you still can't broadcast what happened in any way or form. This rule stands until Mr. Desmond Styles and Mrs. Anne Styles are found guilty." The officer stated firmly.
"Oh, and also, we are searching for Mr. Harry's sibling too. I don't know if you know about him but we are looking for him too." The officer said and Louis made sure to just act neutral.
"Alright. Can I get going now?" Louis asked impatiently.
"Sure."
They shook hands before Louis flew out the building to his car. He quickly unlocked the car and found Harry ripping apart the leather of the driving seat angrily.
"Hey, sh... what's wrong?" Louis asked as he pouted at his ripped seat cover. He got in the backseat with Harry and ran his fingers through his husband's hair.
Harry had tears running down his face as he hummed and let out loud grunts in between.
"Awe, c'mon, sweetcheeks. You are okay. See, I'm here." Louis unbuckled Harry's seatbelt and the elder boy immediately jumped himself onto Louis, making the smaller boy coo.
"It's just an hour, lovebug. Let's go home and have a nice bath, yeah?" Louis placed a small kiss on Harry's hair and stayed there until Harry calmed down.
Louis sometimes didn't understand Harry. There are times where the elder boy refuses to even let Louis stand good five meters away from him when he's having a meltdown but there are also times he cuddles up to Louis and cries until he tires himself out.
But if Louis knew one thing about Harry, it's that he's a gentle boy who cares about everyone so much. He makes sure that everyone around him is happy and he has a big heart.
Louis buckled Harry back and got in the driver's seat despite Harry hasn't calmed down yet. He started the engine and drove down the busy streets of London.
