Chapter Two - Deductions

Here, an update. Why not.

-A couple of days later-

-Sherlock-

It's quite weird that the Prince doesn't despite me because of my ability to know things about anyone. Actually he finds it 'incredible'. Which is a nice  change from being called 'freak' all my life. He likes to hear me tell things about the people walking by in the castles corridors and admires my ability.

We sit in the passage that goes over the place where the main corridors meet and almost everyone in the castle passes by at least once a day. The Prince showed it to me yesterday and it's a nice place. It's like a forgotten corridor of the castle. We are the only ones who are walking here.

And here we sit again and I am telling him about the people walking by below us.

"What about the man carrying that box full of wool?" The prince says, sounding excited. I can't help smiling at him before looking down, searching for the man he pointed out. I find him within seconds. I study the man for a moment.

"He is about 42 years old and he has a wife, a dead ex wife he still loves and three children. His limp tells us that he served as a guard 10 years ago. He is living a pretty simple but happy life. But he worries about his mother who is very old and might die at any moment."

"How do you know?" The Prince grins.

"Well he is obviously over 40 years old and he has one ring as a necklace and one ring on his hand. Meaning two wives. One of them dead because if they where divorced he wouldn't want to save the ring as a memory of her. He has served as a guard, you can see that on the way he walks, straight with his gaze on a fixed point. And about his limp, he was probably hurt during his time as a guard and the only time he could have gained such an injury was the time a group of people attacked the castle 10 years ago. Since he got a limp he couldn't work as a guard anymore. The majority of people in his age has three kids."

The Prince looks just as amazed as every time I deduce someone. He stands up and stretches a little before telling me to come with him. I do as he says and follows him through the corridor. It's the wrong direction to get down to the active place of the castle and I wonder where this ends.

A door. The Prince pushes the door open and we see some old chambers which no one is living in. Clearly. It's a thin layer of dust over everything and the Prince draws a smiley on the table.

"What are we doing here Prince?" I ask. He shrugs.

"It's just a place to be alone. No one except me and of course my guard goes here." He jumps on the bed and a cloud of dust erupts from the bedsheets. He laughs and coughs.

"Come on Sherlock, don't be boring," he smiles, "come join me." I slowly make my way over to him and the Prince holds out a hand that I take and he pulls me up on the bed. I do my best to ignore the small tingles spreading from my hand through my arm. An unknown feeling in my stomach. I smile at him.

I hate the feeling. My brother has told me about it and I know it will not lead to anything good. It will only give me problems. It's not decent. It's wrong. He's the Prince of Britain for gods sake! But I smile at him and I love it when he smiles back at me.

Suddenly his hands touch my chest and I am sent backwards into the mattress. He laugh at me and I do not think about that tingling sensation, nope, absolutely not.

I get my revenge by grabbing his legs and making him fall. I roll away so he won't fall on me but sadly that makes me fall down on the floor. I roll over on my stomach and lays there.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"No, I'm obviously dead." I reply and he snorts. I roll back over on my back. He stands on the bed and stares down at me and I stare back. Maybe I look at him for too long before looking away.

"What?" The Prince tilts his head.

"What?" I rip my gaze from his and stand up. I brush off my clothes and he dies the same. We wouldn't like it if people where asking weird questions because we are covered in dust.

"Maybe we should get back so we won't be late for dinner." I suggest. We make our way to his chambers.
