(Scene IV: Ladybug and Cat Noir have arrived at the scene of the Akuma attack, but see no villains. They are unsure of how they should proceed.)

Cat Noir:*sees villain behind Ladybug* Ladybug, duck!

(She ducks as Cat Noir extends his staff, knocking an akumatized villain backwards)

Ladybug: *stands back up* That was close... TOO close...

Cat Noir: Yeah... but where are they coming from? There's not usually this many Akumas...

Ladybug:*looks around* ... But where are they coming from?

Cat Noir: I don't know, M'Lady. Most of them seem to be coming from over there *points in the direction of the Agreste mansion*

Ladybug:*confused* But that's the Agreste's mansion... what are you saying?

Cat Noir: What I'm saying, Bugaboo, is that we should go that way because we have a better chance of finding out why there are so many akumas.

Ladybug:*eyeroll* Fine, but can you NOT call me Bugaboo? This is serious!

Cat Noir: *bows* Of course, M'Lady. Anything for you.

Ladybug: *rolls eyes and yo-yos her way to the Agreste mansion*

Cat Noir: *uses staff to follow Ladybug towards the Agreste mansion*

(When Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive at the mansion, they land on the roof. There seems to be a window with a butterfly pattern across it. Ladybug and Cat Noir aren't sure how to get in. They cannot see a door.)

Ladybug:*puts one hand on Cat Noir's shoulder* If you can't do this... I could go in alone...

Cat Noir: *quietly* No, no... I can do this...

Ladybug:*raises one eyebrow* I doubt that, silly kitty...

Cat Noir:*shakes his head then goes to look for a door**mumbles to self* There has to be some way in... *starts poking at a latch on the top of the butterfly window*

(The window opens and Cat Noir tumbles into a room, headfirst. Ladybug shakes her head and jumps down into the room next to Cat Noir. He stands up and dusts himself off.)

Hawkmoth:*turns around* Ah, so nice of you two to come... but you won't be leaving! Get them!

(Akumas suddenly swarm around Ladybug and Cat Noir. They both panic as Ladybug is lifted from the floor.)

Cat Noir: Ladybug!

Ladybug: Cat Noir! Help me! *reaches towards Cat Noir*

Cat Noir: *tries to grab Ladybug's hand**misses* NO!

(Ladybug tries to fight her way out of the akumas, but she is pinned against the wall, unable to move)

Hawkmoth: *evil laugh * Now, Ladybug, give me your Miraculous!

Ladybug: *scowls* Never!

Hawkmoth: Oh well, it's your choice...

(More akumas swarm around Ladybug. Cat Noir tries to get rid of the akumas so Ladybug can escape)

Hawkmoth:*evil laugh* Give up, Cat Noir! You won't be able to get rid of my akumas! You're nothing without Ladybug!

Cat Noir: *narrows eyes* You may be right, Hawkmoth...

Ladybug: Cat Noir! Don't listen to him... Cat Noir...?

Cat Noir: ...But that won't stop me from trying! *continues swiping at akumas*

Ladybug: As sweet as that is, now isn't exactly the time...

Cat Noir: Right, sorry... CATACLYSM! *uses Cataclysm on akumas surrounding Ladybug*

Ladybug: Thanks, Cat Noir! Now for Hawkmoth...

( Ladybug and Cat Noir turn to face Hawkmoth, but he seems to have vanished)

Cat Noir: *turns head side to side in confusion* Wha...?
Ladybug: Where'd he go?

Hawkmoth:*evil laugh* I'm right here...*steps out of dark corner into circle of light from the window* You really think you could defeat me? Such a foolish mistake... *slowly shakes head side to side*

(Cat Noir and Ladybug tense, ready for a fight. Hawkmoth raises a hand, and akumas gather together and jet towards Ladybug and Cat Noir. Cat Noir fends some off with his staff, but Ladybug is slammed into the wall. Cracks form in the wall where the akumas and Ladybug hit it.)

Cat Noir: NO! LADYBUG!

Ladybug:*stands up shakily* No, no... I'm fine... *swaying a little* just a bit... woozy... ugh...

Cat Noir: No, you're not okay. You hit your head pretty hard. You need to sit down somewhere...

Ladybug: No... I said I'm FINE... *stumbles and trips*

Cat Noir:*catches her**shakes his head* I got this, Bugaboo. You clearly can't fight like this...

Ladybug: But...

Cat Noir:*puts one finger over her mouth* No buts. I'm going to do this. *lowers voice* Trust me, Marinette.

Ladybug: *sigh* Please be careful. I CAN'T lose you.

Cat Noir:*nods**turns around to face Hawkmoth, eyes narrowed*

Hawkmoth: *yawning* How SICKENINGLY sweet of you two...

Cat Noir: *mumbles* Not that I expected YOU to understand...

Hawkmoth: Maybe you should learn some respect! *akumas fly at Ladybug*

Ladybug: *gasp**holds up arms to shield herself*

Cat Noir: *bats away akumas* Aw, you gotta have faith in me, Bugaboo!

Ladybug: *lowers arms* Should we wrap this up now?

Cat Noir: Right. *tackles Hawkmoth**takes Moth Miraculous*

(Hawkmoth detransforms. Gabriel Agreste is now lying on the floor, scowling.)

Cat Noir:*shocked*...How...?

Gabriel:*scowls*

Ladybug: But... How did you even get the Moth Miraculous? Why are you so evil?

Gabriel: Get this cat off of me first, then I'll explain.

Cat Noir: Fine. *gets up* Now EXPLAIN. *Folds arms*

Gabriel:*stands**brushes off jacket* I received the Moth Miraculous the same way you two did. As for being evil... I'm not. Nooroo, the Moth kwami, explained that whoever possessed both the ladybug and black cat Miraculous at the same time would gain ultimate power. I wanted that ultimate power. That's all.

Cat Noir: ... Doesn't that sound evil to you, Bugaboo?

Ladybug:*shrugs* Yeah. Gabriel, you and I have very different ideas of what's not evil and what is...

Cat Noir: *turns head* ...Did you guys hear that?

Ladybug:*confused* I didn't hear anything.

Gabriel: Neither did I.

(There is a loud crack, and everyone turns towards the window. Cracks race across the glass and up the wall towards the ceiling.)

Cat Noir: The roof's caving in! Run!*grabs Ladybug's wrist**extends staff to get out window*

Ladybug:*looks down at Gabriel* What about him?

Cat Noir: We need to get out of here. He can get himself out.

Ladybug: But... I don't think he can get out...

Cat Noir: *sigh* He'll be FINE, Bugaboo! Just trust me!

(The roof shakes and Ladybug panics.)

Ladybug: *yanks her wrist out of Cat Noir's hand* Cat Noir! You need to help your father!

Cat Noir: *annoyed sigh**grabs Ladybug's wrist**tugs her towards the edge of the roof* Come on, we need to go!

Ladybug:*folds her arms* Help him first. I'm not moving until you do.

Cat Noir: THE ROOF IS FALLING APART! WE NEED TO GO! NOW!

Ladybug:*uses yoyo to pull Gabriel up to the roof* Get him out of here, Cat. I'll catch up after I check for anyone else inside.

Cat Noir:*Grabs Gabriel and takes him down to the street below* Stay here.*goes back up to find Ladybug*

(The roof caves in. Cat Noir freezes, seeing Ladybug lying motionless in the rubble.)

Cat Noir:*Shocked* No... no, no, no, no! Ladybug! *jumps down next to Ladybug* Please... wake up... Ladybug... please...*begins to cry* ...Marinette... NO!(A/N: *shakes head* Don't say I didn't warn ya. *hands reader box of tissues*)

(Cat Noir lifts Ladybug's limp form and jumps back down to the street. Gabriel is shocked to see Ladybug unconscious. Cat Noir throws him a vengeful glare.)

Cat Noir: *growls* This is YOUR fault.

Gabriel: *holds up hands in surrender* What did I do?

Cat Noir: *snarls* YOUR akumas cracked the walls! YOUR akumas caused the roof to collapse on her! *shouts* THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!

Gabriel: I don't deny that my akumas cracked the walls, but you can hardly blame the roof's sudden collapse and her stubbornness on me!

Cat Noir:*narrows eyes**jumps away, carrying Ladybug*

(fade to black & scene change)

(Scene change: Cat Noir lands in front of the hospital. By this time, Ladybug has turned back into Marinette. She is still unconscious, though. Cat Noir detransforms, then goes inside, carrying Marinette. He is met with many startled glances and some suspicious glares.)

Adrien:*thinks to self* Of course I'm getting weird stares. I'm cut up, bruised, and carrying an unconscious Marinette! Could this be any more awkward?! Ugh...*pulls out phone to call Marinette's parents* Um... Hello?

Tom Dupain:*from other end of phone* Hello?

Adrien: Is this Mr. Dupain?

Tom: Yes. Who is this?

Adrien: Adrien Agreste. Listen, can you come to the hospital? Like, right away?

Tom:*confused* Sure, but why?

Adrien: I'll explain when you get here. Please hurry...

Tom: Okay. Be there in a few minutes.*hangs up*

Adrien:*puts phone back in pocket**sigh*

(fade to black & scene change)

(Scene Change: Marinette's parents arrive at the hospital. Marinette has been moved into a room. Adrien is waiting in the lobby for her parents. Adrien then takes them back to where Marinette is. They are shocked to see her unconscious.)

Sabine: *shocked* Adrien? What happened?

Adrien: It's a really long story... I'm pretty sure she has a bad head injury... she's been unconscious for an hour now...

Tom: An hour... and you JUST called?!

Adrien: *shrugs* I JUST got the chance to call.

(Fade to black & scene change)
