Part one (Updated)

Chaos. Confusion. It was everywhere. The king had died a couple of days ago, his throat slashed . But the thing was, no one knew who killed him. There was no heir either, as the dragonet had been killed as well. Sure, the dragonet could be annoying, with his rantings about a recent scroll he had found from the palace library, (Though no one was brave enough to admit it.

but they had still been respected by their subjects. Dusk shook her head; it was crazy, many of the Kingdom were fighting for the empty throne and random dragons were getting accused of the murder. That was what Dusk thought of as she padded towards the Feasting Hall with her friend, Pine beside her. She felt him looking at her so she glanced at him, having to tip her head up a bit because he was a little taller than her. He must've noticed her tension and he smiled at her, tilting his wings slightly. Dusk felt like she couldn't smile, shouldn't smile, not now, but she managed a small, half-hearted smile. "It'll be okay." He said reassuringly, but Dusk wasn't calmed, she knew before she saw it that the Feasting Hall would be filled with complete madness. Who's idea was it to continue doing feasts? They might as well have said; "Hey! There's going to be a massacre at the Feasting Hall! Come if you'd like!" She lowered her head a bit more as they neared the hall. She could already hear lots of voices shouting, snarling and hissing. Dusk's eyes grew wide as they stopped in the entryway of the great hall. Some dragons were fighting or arguing, while others were simply enjoying themselves and helping themselves to the drinks that the feasts provided. Dusk glanced around with sudden fear and shifted closer to Pine until she stood right next to him. He gazed down at her, "Are you alright?" Dusk shifted a little on her talons, slightly embarrassed, "I..don't want to go in there." He let out a faint snort of amusement, "I don't think anyone would blame you." He touched his wing lightly to her shoulder, "We can go back to your room if you'd like." Dusk blinked then nodded. Pine's smile re-appeared and they began to turn around when a yell from one of the dragons from the hall made them stop.

"It's him! The one with the weird powers!"

Pine stiffened beside her and she realized that the entire hall had fallen silent and had turned to stare at them with what seemed like unblinking eyes. With a strike of horror, Dusk realized that the dragon was pointing at Pine.
