The Girl With The Silver Hair

"What do you mean go?" Tristan asked in a shocked and confused tone.

"Just, come on. I'll explain it once we are safe," I said absently as I saw the butler pull up in the car and beckon us forward.

"Come on!" He called but I noticed something shiny in his right hand.

My parents had sent him to do the dirty work for them.

"Run!" I shouted and shoved Tristan forward yet still managed to run in-front of him, "follow me!"

We were booking it down the side of the road and I didn't even notice we were heading out of the city. The butler was sprinting behind us and I pushed faster. I jumped on the back of a pick up truck and held my hand out to help Tristan on. Tristan nearly tripped and fell but firmly grabbed my hand and I pulled him on.

I took in a deep breath and heard Tristan breathing heavily next to me.

"What was that all about?!" Tristan exclaimed and ran a hand through his hair.

"It's not over yet!" I pointed to the butlers car and saw it quickly getting closer.

"An alley way!" Tristan shouted and pointed ahead to the narrow slice of street.

We jumped off the truck and ran blindly into the alley way.

We hid behind a garbage can and I saw the butler speed past us. I took in a deep breath of relief.

"What Do we have here?" A husky voice chuckled and four men stepped out of the shadows with huge knives.

He had an eye patch and a long scar on the other eye.

"Torren, run!" Tristan shoved me onto my feet and I ran, not even thinking I left him behind.

I had to find help and fast.

I ran into another alley way. Outside of Havoc, all the buildings were damaged and there were few cars or people and it had a depressing feel to it.

I bumped into a tall figure and heard them let out a noise that sounded like "Oof!"

"Hey! Watch where you're going buddy!" The voice, a her, snapped and I saw her.

She had silver hair with really light blonde highlights and light gray and striking yellow eyes. She was wearing a white top and an orange cape or cloak over one shoulder with a white skull. She had a huge sword attached to a few straps on her shirt in her back. She had to black lines on her cheek and light skin. There were metal knee pads on her knees and she was wearing tall brown combat boots. She had dark eyelashes and a metal bracelet on one arm. An orange infinity scarf was also around her neck

"Wait," She examines  me closer.

"You're a gen, all the way out here," the girl examined me with an odd look.

"A what?! A gen?! What does that even mean?" I echoed and sighed.

"You're a gen! Part of them!" She exclaimed.

"Part of who?!" I replied angrily.

"Them. The Perfect Race." She responded and looked at me oddly.

She walked around me in circles then finally stopped in front of me, "don't you ever wonder why everyone in Havoc besides servants have blonde hair and blue eyes?"

Of course I knew. Who didn't?

"Of course! All the brown hair and brown eyed people were wiped out in the Great War," I responded with a sly smile.

The girl looked at me like 'are you serious' and sighed and pressed her fingertips to her temples.

"No moron! It's because president Sky made it that way! She drove us out! I'm an outsider!" She explained with frustration.

"Well, your only an outsider if you call yourself that," I explained to her.

"Outsiders are the name of my people! We don't have the desired traits that Sky wants. Having half of the desired traits makes you a half blood, trying half bloods are the servants and chefs and such in Havoc. Outsiders aren't allowed in the capital."

"Anyways," I remembered my issue, "my brother was just kidnapped and I could kinda use your help. I'm Torren by the way."

She gave an ambitious smile, "say no more Torren. The names Raine, ready for some fun?"
