Epilogue

Pandora's POV
"MASON!" I screamed from the couch.
"What?!" He yelled charging in.
"Can I have more ice-cream please?" I asked smiling sweetly.
"Anything for you, my dear," he said rolling his eyes lightly.
Bringing me my bowl of ice-cream he sat next to me, and placed a warm kiss on my cheek.
Rubbing his hand over my belly I shivered, and scooted closer to him. He wrapped a blanket around me along with his arm and wing.
"Is that your fifth bowl today?" He asked laughing.
I nodded yes, then no, and then tried to count with my fingers, but eventually gave up. He laughed again, and began to stroke my hair.
I relaxed into him, but was almost thrown on the floor when he got up suddenly.
"Ah!" I yelled catching myself and my bowl of ice-cream.
"Sorry. I just got a message from your father. They found a human near our borders! Gotta go!"
"Okay be safe. And don't die." I yelled as he ran out the door.
Shaking my head I chuckled and continued to eat my fifth bowl of ice-cream, or was it my seventh?
After an hour or so, I decided to sit on the front porch, and wait for Mason.
It was almost fall, and a quiet breeze was blowing my hair everywhere. Pulling it into a ponytail, I continued to wait.
After a long, long while I could see him walking in the distance, but he wasn't coming back alone.
He was walking with a human. Why would he be walking with a human? There hadn't been a human here since...
"HOLY SHIZZLE!" I screamed furiously. I had stopped myself from using bad language because of our upcoming arrival. Mason has agreed to stop too.
Getting up I flew as fast, as my wings could carry me, considering I had put on a lot of extra weight.
Flying closer I saw it was in fact the annoying scoundrel himself. He had returned after eight long years.
About to land in front of him I found myself unable to stop, and ended up falling onto him.
I groaned holding my stomach.
"Ow."
Sitting up I looked over at him rubbing his forehead.
"Oh god Pandora are you okay?!" Mason asked rushing over to me, and lifting me up quickly.
"I'm fine," I said smiling brightly.
Mason looked between Hunter and I. Back and forth his head bobbed hoping I'd remember who he was. How could I forget the idiotic man who helped Mason save my life?
He did look a little different, but overall he was only taller and had a little stubble on his chin.
I wanted to slap him so hard, but instead I ran towards him and wrapped my arms around him tightly.
A little surprised by my moves he jumped, but them wrapped his arms around me too.
"Ow ow ow ow! Let go!" I yelled in his ear.
"Jeez why are you squeezing me so much?!" I asked.
"I was just hugging you," he said laughing.
"Yeah well it hurt," I said placing my hands over my stomach protectively.
Hunter looked between Mason and I, as a realization seemed to click in his head.
"Sorry," he mumbled. Hm guess not.
"So what brings you back?" I asked excitedly.
"I brought more medication. I figured it had run out considering how often your community has more children." He said taking his backpack off his shoulder.
"Speaking of children, Mason and I-"
Hunter interrupted saying, "oh yeah. He told me how you volunteered at the hospital the other day."
"Uh yeah but that's not the point-" I stopped talking when I saw they were now having their own conversation with each other.
Rolling my eyes I continued walking back towards our house. When Mason and I decided to have a life together our parents built us a house.
It was very similar to the house I grew up in, but it had an extra big backyard and a much bigger kitchen. Though since Mason couldn't cook it wasn't much help. And since I've had such a big appetite lately he isn't very good with handling that.
"Wait you guys have your own house now?" Hunter asked suddenly.
"Yes," I replied opening the door. He scratched the back of his neck and stepped inside.
"Cool," he said after a long moment of silence. I could tell he felt awkward.
"So Pandora I brought you some of the chips you said you wanted this morning."
Taking the bag I ripped it open, and began eating a huge handful. After one bite I tossed the bad onto the ground disgusted.
"Seriously?" Mason asked annoyed.
"Sorry. They just taste.. weird." I said shrugging my shoulders. "I don't want them anymore."
"Stupid cravings," I heard him murmur before he walked into the kitchen.
"Wait what?" Hunter asked looking towards me confused.
"I'm pregnant Hunter," I said touching my belly lightly.
"Seriously?!" He yelled loudly.
"Yes. And my YOU are DUMB! How haven't you realized. I've been trying to tell you since you got here."
"That was only twenty minutes ago Pandora. Give him a break." Mason said walking back into the living room with a tray of food. How did he know I was hungry again?
Taking the tray from him I picked up a chocolate bar and ripped off the wrapping.
"How far along are you?" He asked easing the silence.
"3 months," I replied with chocolate smeared all over my chin.
"Wow," he said chuckling a little.
"Have you thought of any names?" Hunter asked eagerly.
"Well if it's a girl we were choosing between Sadie and Alia, and if it's a boy we were going to name it... Hunter," I whispered the last part so he wouldn't hear.
Mason rolled his eyes and opened his mouth to argue, but I glared at him and he closed it.
"Wait you were going to name your baby after me?" He asked astonished.
"Yes, I was." He smiled slyly and looked towards Mason who was still rolling his eyes. Though he was an annoying scoundrel, he and Mason had saved my life. I would never forget that and neither would the People of Avian.
