11| A Sickness Never Heard Of Pt. 1

Today I was having a picnic with Mason, Brianna, and Hunter. Currently Brianna and I were talking and munching on sandwiches, meanwhile Hunter and Mason were glaring at each other occasionally. Okay more like all the time.

Mason wrapped his arm, around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I knew why he was doing it, but I didn't really mind. Hunter would have to get over it eventually.

Mason leaned into kiss me, and I wouldn't have objected if it weren't for the raspy cough that had just made its way out of my throat. I cleared my throat quickly, and looked back at a worried Mason and Brianna, while Hunter sat there unfazed.

"I'm fine," I muttered taking an their bite of my sandwich.

We didn't get sick very often around here, but when we did it was normally a two day thing, so I knew it would pass quickly, and didn't bother to think twice about it.

The rest of the picnic was filled with silence except for my occasional coughing, and clearing of my throat. I felt really awkward being the only one making sounds.

"Pan, are you okay?" Mason asked me leaning back to look into my eyes.

I nodded and leaned back towards him resting my head on his shoulder. He was so comfortable I would have loved to fall asleep there.

"Why do you act like getting sick is such a bad thing?" Hunter asked almost irritated.

"It is a bad thing. We really never get sick, so anything could develop awful symptoms and blah blah blah."

I kind of tuned Mason out after my head had begun to throb. I clutched my head with my left hand, as I rubbed it hoping to make it better. Mason looked at me tenderly as he moved his fingers, and began rubbing my temples. I relaxed slowly, and let Mason continue.

"Well if you don't mind I'm gonna leave," Hunter said getting up.

I tried to grab his arm, but Mason pulled me back down allowing Hunter to leave. I groaned and sat there impatiently.

"Well I'm going to give you two some alone time," Brianna said winking at me. She flew off, and eventually I lost track of her when the sun blinded my eyes. I quickly covered them and rolled over facing Mason.

He placed his lips on mine eagerly, as if he had been waiting for them to leave.

"Mason I don't want you to get sick," I said breaking the kiss.

"I won't," he said as he roughly kissed me.

Standing up he offered me his hand. I denied it knowing I could get up myself. Standing up quickly everything went all haywire, and all I could see were bright colors. My head throbbed worse than before, as I fell backwards.

Mason quickly caught me as he spoke rushingly, "Pandora! Are you ok? Pan open your eyes!"

He continued shouting at me, but I couldn't respond. My head hurt so bad I felt like someone was hitting it with a hammer.

I could feel Mason running, as he rushed me somewhere. I figured it was the infirmary, and my suspicions were answered when I smelt the familiar cleanliness and soap. I don't even know why it smells like soap, but it does.

"I opened my eyes slowly only to be blinded by the bright lights on the ceiling. I groaned letting Mason know that I was alive, but of course feeling like crap. I heard him and his mom talking while Mason held my hand tightly.

"Mason she will be fine. She is just having a migraine," she said trying to calm him down.

"But she was coughing a lot too."

I felt movement beside me as Mason let go of my hand, and in place I felt his mothers. They were cold. She placed something on my chest, and I was almost positive it was a stethoscope.

"Her airway is a little blocked, but it should clear up by tomorrow."

"And if it doesn't?" Mason said worried. He gripped my hand so tightly I felt my bones aching.

"Mason you're crushing my hand," I said watching him loosen his grip.

He mouthed sorry, as his mother looked between us. She smiled slightly, but when she looked towards Mason she frowned.

"If it doesn't get better then bring her back."

Mason nodded, and wrapped his arm around me, helping get up. I walked with him slowly out of the building, and to my house. He sat with me on the porch with his arm still wrapped around me.

He planted small kisses below my ear and on my lips. Pulling me closer he stroked my wings and back with his hand while holding my chin with the other. He kissed me roughly, as he bit my bottom lip seductively.

I quickly pulled away letting out another raspy cough. It was deeper and lasted much longer than the others. I thought I was finished, but I was met with another round of coughing.

Mason continued tracing his hand on my back, as he watched me wearingly.

"Do you need some water?" He asked me already getting up. I nodded and slowly got up to follow him inside.

I clutched my head as I did. The pain hadn't subsided, but it wasn't as bad. Just as soon as I thought it had gotten better it got even worse. I would've fallen over if it weren't for this thing I was gripping onto tightly. Wait a minute what was I holding onto?

Looking up I saw I was gripping on Hunters belt, and he was staring at me bewildered. I screamed, and fell on my face, as I let go.

"Getting eager now are we?" Hunter asked smirking.

I left myself faceplanted on the floor until I heard him walking away. Well that was embarrassing. I clearly have more issues than I can count.

"What are you doing on the floor?" Mason asked walking back towards me with a glass of water in hand.

"Ummm. I fell." Technically it wasn't a lie. I did fall. Just not in the way he probably thought.

"Are you okay?" He asked pulling me off the floor. Awww but it was so comfortable. Shut up stupid brain.

Mason handed me the glass of water as I eagerly drank it. I almost finished the water, but I ended up coughing the rest out onto Mason's face.

He stared at me not glaring or smiling. I could tell he was trying not to seem disgusted. He then took my water glass from me and threw the rest of it into me.

"Aww Ma-" Cough cough.

"Mason!" I yelled annoyed.

"It was your fault," He said chuckling.

I opened my mouth ready to object, but he silenced me with his lips. I kissed him back before pulling him onto the couch.

"I don't want to get you sick, but that doesn't mean we can't snuggle."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me tightly. Laying down I was in front of him, and his chin was above my head. It was quite comfortable. Comfortable enough to fall asleep, and that's exactly what I did. Right in my boyfriends arms, or was it deaths arms?
