Personality:
To be quite honest, Umbryn is just a lonely, scared boy who's been turned into a terrible monster. He used to be bright, happy, a wonderful prince. He loved to help people and figure out ways to help his kingdom, but ever since the accident and his escape from the kingdom, he's become extremely paranoid and anxious about what he'd heard people plotting against him. Bryn is also more pessimistic than he used to be and has grown cold, his true self trapped inside the hardened shell of the monster that has overcome him. All he needs is someone to come along and show him the friendship and kindness that he's longed for anyone to show him since the incident.
Likes:
Umbryn likes to sit outside at night and look at the stars, and often charts them to pass the time. He also loves to swim, and since his body can withstand extremes, he will go swimming in the chilled rivers of the forest at night sometimes. He also loves flying and caring for the plants around where he lives.
Dislikes:
Bryn hates the fact that he has become some monster that he isn't, and that his bloodlust overcomes him and makes him do things he regrets. He also hates the fact that no one cared to show him the kindness and reassurance that he needed after the accident and has become bitter because of this.
Fears:
That no one will ever show him kindness again and that he will always be the monster that is feared and shunned. He fears that he will be lonely forever, and that someday, somehow, those that plotted against him will finally do what they had planned.
Strengths:
The boy has extremely heightened senses, as well as supernatural speed and resistance to extremes of weather. He's also a very strong swimmer and had a very wealthy education as a boy.
Weaknesses:
Umbryn has both human and vampire weaknesses. Vampire weaknesses include exposure to light, his bloodlust, holy water, and purified silver. Human weaknesses include his paranoia, anxiety, small stature, and gullibility when people are kind to him.

Relationships:
He was in a secret relationship with his personal guard, a young man named Peter, but Peter was killed during the incident while trying to defend the prince.
Family:
All of them were killed during the incident. He loved them all dearly, since they accepted him fully for who he was.
Backstory:
Umbryn's story, known to most as a simple story, is a very real, very tragic tale. The prince grew up in a very loving family- with an accepting mother and father, supportive subjects, and a handsome young man whom he fell in love with  about a year before the incident. He was educated by the best, and he learned skills with the crossbow and sword, as well as horsemanship and other princely things. Everything was going well, and the kingdom was prosperous. Until the incident. The Incident...that was what it was usually referred to as. The royal family and guard had gone on a diplomatic mission to a neighboring kingdom to sign alliances, and having been successful, they traveled back home the quickest way, though the forest. On their second night in the forest, their carriages were attacked by cannibalistic creatures that drank blood and were too swift and strong to be deterred by the guards. Bryn has been in the carriage farthest from the first attack, and so Peter dragged him out and threw him onto the only horse that hadn't bolted or fallen, getting on with the prince. They had almost escaped the bloodbath when Peter and Umbryn were tackled off of the horse. Bryn was bitten, but Peter managed to wrestle the creature off of Bryn and shove the boy away, screaming at him to get away. Umbryn has known that Peter wouldn't budge and ran while the creatures were distracted, eventually finding his horse and riding it as quickly as he could back to the castle. He refused to let anyone other than his trusted doctor care for him, and a search party along with many soldiers was sent out to find the attack site. All they came back with were a couple horses and dead bodies...all had perished other than Umbryn. The prince shut himself up in the castle, finding it painful to go into the sunlight and growing urges that he had never had before. He became a shell of his former self, and those in the castle began to wonder, growing suspicious and deeming him dangerous. So, they plotted to kill him, but his doctor found this out and warned Umbryn before it was too late. They boy fled from the castle and into the woods, where he still lives to this day.
Other:
The fact that he left Peter without even trying to protest still haunts him to this day. He sees the man's death as his fault and feels guilty that he didn't die along with the rest of his family and guards.
