So, your book has quite an interesting title. Can you tell me how you came up with it and how does it relate to your story?

Ok well I came up with the title because I feel that in the book you don't know what's happening, I mean I try and throw the reader off sometimes so they don't know what to expect. And I real that it relates to my story because of those things and Riley Jane, the main female character is so confused and she really doesn't know what to expect from anything or anyone for that matter.

Wow, that's deep! What exactly inspired you to write this book?

I love vampire and werewolves books and movies so much and I feel that so many people think the paranormal world is just vampires, werewolves, witches and mermaids. But what I like to do is bring the not so popular paranormal creature and add them to Vampire/Werewolf books. I feel that there so much to the paranormal world then just meets the eye. And so I am writing this book to hopefully shine some light on the none so popular paranormal creatures:)

Oh yasss! I love paranormal books too! But I've heard that writing paranormal books is hard. So can you tell me which scene was most difficult to write? Why?

Honestly I think the hardest scenes for me to write are the kissing ones, because I personally have never been kissed before so it's hard to imagine and write something that I can't relate to in a way.

Oh yeah! I'm a writer too and I can relate with this situation XD. What was your favourite part, and your least favourite part, of the publishing journey?

My favorite part was just creating the story line and adding all the twists and turns, and just having people read my story and vote and be so supportive of me on this wild journey. My least favorite part is that I feel that people judge a book way to soon, I feel that they read the first chapter or just a few sentences then judge it if they like it or not. Because in my personal opinion I think you should at least read first the few chapters of a book before deciding, because sometimes it takes a few chapters for a book to take off. And I feel people do that a lot with Not What You Expected.

Actually it's a nice book! I read it and I found it very intriguing! It's true that some books are judged before even being given a try :( .

Does one of the main characters hold a special place in your heart? If so, why?

Thank you❤❤❤ and Riley Jane and Ethan Jones both hold very special places in my heart. Riley Jane is a lot like me in some ways, My life is very confusing and just like Riley Jane I am people pleaser, and I just connect with her in a way and I am so happy that I made this story and that she is the main character. With Ethan Jones he reminds me of someone who also has a very special place in my heart:)

Wow...so cute!♡. Do you write/know your characters' backgrounds? How far back do you go; how is this important to writing? How does a character's past affect the story?

Oh wow, personally I love writing the backgrounds of every character even the ones that are side characters, so yes I write all of their backgrounds. Ok I'm not quite sure what you mean about how far back I go? But when I write a Characters background I go really far back but I also make sure I don't add stuff that isn't necessary. It is important to know your characters background really well just because someday a reader/fan might ask a very personal question about one character and it's just good to know those things. Oh it affects the story a LOT because your past is what made you who you are today and that's why in Not What You Expected everyone's past is going to be brought up in one way or another:)

It's so interesting! How do you do research for your books?

I normally read books and watch movies just to get my mind focused on what I am preparing to write and it really just depends on what I write and if I am formiller with the the subject and that determines how I do research:)

What do you think will happen to the characters after the book ended?

Well fun fact this book is actually in a series:) but I think most of the characters will get their happy endings but I don't want to spoil anything so I stop there:)

Okay! You are smart. No spoilers XD. Was any character inspired by a real person?

I used some of the characteristics from some people I know but the characters were not fully inspired by the people I know. So basically I took some characteristics from a person and then added some random characteristics so the character would still be different.

Who is the most supportive person in your life when it comes to your writing? How do they support you?

Oh that's a hard question, I mean I have so many people that supportive me and have supported me through my writing journey. But I have to say it's myself, because I push myself to a whole another level because I am a determined person and when I want something I push myself so hard so that I can get the thing I want.

Oh wow, that's so true! No one is more supportive than you yourself! So here's the last question! Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?

Take a break if you need it, do not drain yourself out on the book. Trust me I have drained myself out on my books before and it never ends well, so take a break for how ever long you need to. And don't worry about writing everyday or if you post a chapter every week. You see I write when I want to and when I feel that I can and I don't stress about it. Because when you stress about it, it takes all the fun and joy out sof omething that once made you happy.
