She starts searching for the answers to the questions laid by her dreams.In the process of finding the answers about what happened three years back, she crosses path with Jake. She chases the dreams to find out the answers.

Jake is the one and the only person who has all the answers to Emily's questions. But as she gets to know about her actual life, about her true self, things change in her new life. Emily slowly remembers her agendas and realizes that she is related to Jake. But why? And why does she not belong in the mundane world?

Will she return to where she belongs or will let go of everything?

Enchante, Saige Taylor. So, you've only recently joined Wattpad. How does the Wattpad community seem to you? And do you feel it's giving you the feedback and responses you want or need for your stories?

I'm actually grateful to be a part of Wattpad. The best thing is that everyone's imagination is coming to life through their writings, and it's fascinating. And yes, the responses I need for my stories are quite good. The readers are very curious and patient for updates. I feel that Wattpad is a small world for me where I escape to and portray everything I have in my mind.

You're already building your own loyal fan base xD Is writing a hobby or a source of solace for you?

I can say both but moreover it's a hobby.

You've entered your book, The Chase, in our club's Aurora Awards and ended up winning first place in the fantasy category. How did it feel?

Actually, I never entered the awards for winning. I wanted the readers to read my story and get a glimpse of my imagination. However, it was really surprising for me to win the first place in the fantasy category. It was the first thing in the morning that I checked on the announcement date. *chuckles* So, I felt really good. It was the 3rd award I won for The Chase.

The best intentions yield the best results. It's obvious you've worked really hard on building your story. Can you tell me about the world you're building in your story?

To be honest, The Chase's storyline is a mystery to me also. Yeah, I also have no idea how it's going to unfold *laughs*. What I can tell is that it's based on supernatural beings and Greek mythology. In the upcoming chapters, the readers would get acquainted to many such references. It's basically a story of a girl next door becoming a supernatural Hybrid. And I intend to make the story super exciting and interesting to read by bringing about unusual powers a Hybrid could have.

Lol From what you've mentioned so far, The Chase seems to be the perfect book to read for Fantasy fanatics. Is there a specific message you hope to portray to your readers through your story? If so, what is that message?

The message is simple: anything could happen to anyone anywhere. And for that, you have to be strong from within. Emily's prominent strength is that she's reckless when she wants to be and unstoppable. We all can be like her in our lives to make up with our daily struggles.

Resilience is key to facing our daily struggles. Is there a specific event you recall that taught you this lesson?

Many are there. We have our own demons to fight, and sometimes we tend to lose hope and faith. But we should still keep on going as consistency brings us closer to what we desire. And to tell everyone, we
should do whatever we want to and be happy about what we have got and whatever we could get.

Beautifully put. We face many struggles in our lives; we cannot afford to fall and break down after each. What are some struggles you've faced while writing The Chase, and how did you overcome them?

There's only one thing that I've faced while writing The Chase: writer's block. I thought I'd never have one, but nothing is so merry for anyone. Well, overcoming writer's block was sometimes difficult and easy. I simply used to read books and watch TV shows related to the fantasy/supernatural genre, and so it used to fuel me to write the story further. And sometimes, there'd be a phase where I can't bring myself to do either and just want to lay low. However, music helped me in this phase.

Ugh writer's block is a true nightmare. I think some of my stories got dusty while I was dealing with it xD I commend you for overcoming it. So, Saige Taylor, do you write books outside of the fantasy genre, or do you prefer to stick to one genre?

I write fanfictions too. There are two ongoing fanfictions currently which are about Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries. I was a little disappointed to know that there weren't such fans who loved Pretty little liars as I do. So, I merged it with The Vampire Diaries. I'm also going to try my hand at genres like sci-fi, romance, etc.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE PLL?? It's one of the best shows out there.

Ah, this new generation of readers is too demanding

From what I know, readers are more inclined to BTS, K-pop, Shadowhunters and Harry Potter.

PLL is just one of my favourites.

Well, I can't say I'm not inclined to those 👀 But yes, PLL is a masterpiece.

It's not that I don't like them, but there are many fanfics out there on them.

It's difficult to get creative with em when there are more than a billion stories about them, eh? 😁

*clears throat* Anyways, if you could dedicate The Chase to a specific person, who would they be and why?

Well, there's no such person to whom I'll dedicate my story yet I'll say I would like to dedicate it to The Vampire Diaries

Lol, because of it the story had a chance :)

And it gave me a solid idea. I used to watch TVD at night and, sometimes, I got hallucinations and dreams of the show. So, it all started with a dream. Believe me. It was a kind of dream that I had in which I was running for my dear life and someone was chasing me with a gun. But suddenly, the scenario changed, and I was sitting with someone on a bench outside a book store with coffee. Sounds weird, huh? *laughs* I vaguely remember.

There was entirely another story to that dream, but I ended up writing The Chase.

It does sound hella weird, I won't lie, but if a great story comes out of it, then there's no reason to doubt it.

Oh yeah. I wrote a draft of a story after I woke up late in the night because of that dream.

Last question, and I will finally unleash you to the world. If you could co-write a story with anyone (author, screenwriter, philosopher, etc.), who would they be and why?

I have a feeling TVD will be mentioned somehow 😂

Of course! How could I not? 😂

So, my favourite authors are James Patterson and Dan Brown. Well, both are prominent in their work and ambitious. I would go bonkers if I get a chance to co-write with Julie Plec (producer of TVD franchise). And also, I would love to be a co-writer with any of my favourite authors.
