Time For Training
The students were in class, so Barry was exploring the city he was to be in for an unknown duration. He was in the mall, looking for a day job because being a hero (and getting paid for it) here is illegal unless you have a license, which he was also trying to get, but he also needed money, because Japan doesn't accept American pocket change. But, just as Barry found a job that seemed possible for him, he received a call from Nezu. After a quick greeting, Nezu got straight to business, "So Barry, the teachers and I were thinking, and after some discussion, we came to an agreement. We would like to offer you a temporary position at U.A. as a combat teacher. You have been in numerous fights with villains who hold access to a wide spectrum of powers. All you have to do is spar with the students and help them improve at their own pace."
Barry was a bit surprised, "I'm honored, but why me?" He inquired. Nezu understood the confusion, there were already pro heroes working at U.A., so why would he need Barry, especially for combat, so he explained, "Well, the students have gone up against most of the teachers, so they've already come up with working strategies to combat them and their quirks. You however are completely new to them, meaning it will help them learn to adapt to new situations. You will also be paid for your position." Nezu finished, knowing Barry was in need of income.
Barry accepted, partly for the aforementioned income, and partly because he wanted to help the new generation of heroes. He always had a fondness for those willing to use their powers to help other, Kid Flash, Jesse Quick, and The Elongated Man. He chuckled a bit recalling Ralph's ridiculous hero name, and then asked Nezu when his first lesson would be held. He was a little surprised when he said it would be this afternoon, but the time worked, it was still early and he was a speedster, unless he was doing something very important that day, it was practically impossible to be late.
"The students don't know this is happening, so don't give anything away." Nezu said. Barry was a little confused as to why the students don't know, but he was excited, so he didn't pay any mind to it. He ran back to the dorms in a flash (You knew it was coming) to prepare, only mentally really, everyone knows each others powers, but no real specifics were given, so he didn't want anything to be unfair for the children. It was their first time sparring, and he didn't want to use their weaknesses as a crutch. Barry could hardly contain himself, "This is gonna be awesome!" He thought to himself, elated that he was chosen to help prepare heroes, he thought he was okay, and he loved the thought of improving, if he can help heroes on this Earth to, he could help on any Earth.
POV Swap - To The Kids
The final class of the day (or so they thought) was coming up, and everyone was ready to go home. It had been the first day back, and it had been uneventful, to the point where most of them would actually rather watch paint dry. They all sat down and pulled out their textbooks, getting ready for the long haul, but then Mr. Aizawa walked into the room. Everyone was confused since he wasn't their normal teacher for this class. He walked to the front, looking as tired as ever, and greeted the class, "Good afternoon class. As you can tell, I'm not your teacher for this class, but today we're doing something other than studying. Go get your hero costumes on and meet me in the P.E. Grounds." He said before leaving again. The students were nervous, but excitement to do literally anything other than study took over as they raced to the changing rooms.
Before Deku could say All Might, they were at the P.E. Grounds, to see Mr. Aizawa getting in his sleeping bag. Confused, they asked why they were there, what they were going to do, who is teaching if he isn't, etc. Shota just sighed before saying, "Your instructor is already here, you just didn't notice him. You know what they say..." Everyone was confused (For like the 1000th time this chapter lol) and accidentally blinked in sync, just to hear a familiar voice behind them finish Shota's statement, "Blink and you'll miss it." Barry told them, making some of them jump.
Barry was in casual clothes, but he had his ring, and was smiling brightly. His happiness was infectious, killing the confusion felt by the students as they turned and greeted their friend, except Todoroki and Bakugo, but Todoroki at least smiled a bit. "What are you doing here Barry?" Uravity asked happily, not yet knowing how unhappy the response would make her. "Well, principle Nezu and the teachers were generous enough to offer me a temporary position here as a combat instructor." He answered, still smiling. Some of the students stopped smiling however, as Deku asked, "That's great Barry, but why are you here?" He asked, partially due to his naïve nature, and partially because he was desperately hoping against what was being implied. Barry chuckled before saying jokingly, "Come on Deku, I know you're smarter than this. And stop calling me Barry, today..." He ran to the opposite end of the grounds, and the 3 that have seen what he was capable of gulped.
"... I'm The Flash!" He yelled back, revealing his glowing ring.
