As the sunshine peered over the mountain ridge, it shined through the window of a Zoroark who groaned softly as she brushed her hair back with her claw, before sitting up and stretching "Mnn...Maybe I can skip training for today.." she muttered to herself. In the end, she knew if she did this then she'd get chewed out by her training partner Noki.

     As she stood up, the left side of her Yogi which was a sleeping garment she normally wore to sleep, even though at times she disliked wearing it as it was too hot, especially for the warmer months. She sat down after undressing from it, after which she brushed her hair just to keep it down.

     As she started one of the helpers who was hired by her mother came knocking at the door, after three knocks she slid the door open. Luckily the Zoroark had on her underwear which the Mienshao shook her head with a soft chuckle at "You were supposed to be ready by now Yuzi" She said, as she walked into the room, walking behind the Zoroark where she then took the brush and started to brush the Zoroark's hair.

     Yuzi looked back at her and sigh softly "I wanted to sleep in a bit..." She said looking down before she looked back to her "Plus I only have training with Noki today easy, Mina" she said casually as she glanced over to a case that held the armor which she was meant to wear for training.

     Mina smiled and in a way she always admired the Dark-type for her relaxed, laidback attitude towards things. Then again Yuzi was a very capable warrior and always took pride in the fact she was. "We'll get dressed, I have breakfast waiting," Mina said before placing the brush back onto the table and walked out the door being sure to close it.

     The Zoroark stood up and ran a hand down her hair which was much smoother now compared to a few minutes ago. She then turned and faced her armor before smiling and taking a few steps closer to it.

     In the dining room, two Pokémon sat it was Mina and an older looking Zoroark who'd seen a lot in her life. She was Yuzi's mother Sayo, the two Pokémon sat on their heels and spoke casually while drinking tea.

     Yuzi soon joined the two and sat at the opposite side of the table from her mother. "Good morning, Mina, Mother," she said bowing her head a bit but not only to pick up her tea it was also to give thanks, she then took a drink from her tea, this earned a soft sigh of pleasure from her as Yuzi always enjoyed this part of her morning and after this she picked up the bowl in front of her starting to eat.

     The Mienshao covered her mouth with her hand, as she let out a soft giggle. "Would you like more Yuzi? You seem hungry this morning" Mina asked, smiling at the female.

     The younger Zoroark placed her bowl back down wiping her mouth as she let out a soft chuckle "Heh sorry about that guess I was hungrier than I first realized" She said taking a drink from the glass in which held her tea.

     Sayo smiled, and placed her tea down as she'd finished the glass, after she did this she stood up and walked over to Yuzi who'd just finished and stood up before her. Yuzi was fairly taller, maybe a few inches bigger than your average Zoroark. "After you're done with training I don't have anything for you to do today, so try not and come back home too late... Promise me that" he said the last part a bit more intently since Sayo always worried for her daughter.

     "Don't worry, I will I promise," Yuzi said, showing her mother a small smile before she walked to the case in which held her various blades. She opened the case and grabbed out a Katana which was held in its black and purple sheath. This blade wasn't her father, it was one that she had been using for a few years, she'd purposefully kept this one's edge dulled as even though the training with Noki was intense, neither of them wanted to hurt the other badly so this was an extra measure in a way.

     The Zoroark picked up the blade and placed it in her hilt before she brushed a bit of her hair to the side, and walked out the door. She took a deep breath, taking in the fresh scent of the morning dew which stretched across the fields, but now she had to start moving since she knew she was late to training with Noki and he wouldn't let her live it down. In all honesty, it was quite hypocritical as he was usually late when she wasn't.

     With her quick speed, she arrived at the clearing by the lake and cherry blossom trees. She looked around in the trees, and around the landscape for Noki as he always attempted to catch her off guard. "Hmm...Let's see..." She placed her hand on the handle of the blade and narrowed her eyes as she focused her breathing.

     In the tree behind her a figure was perched atop a branch with his hand in his bag pocket, he then lunged forward jumping out the tree, he then fired two arrow-like feathers from his arm at her. At that moment Yuzi smirked and turned, ducking below them and even slicing one in half using her claws.

     "Heh sneaky bastard" she muttered under her breath as she looked to the shiny Decidueye, before she bolted forward, this was only made easier as she was much quicker than the male managed to maneuver behind him. She then drew her blade attempting to strike him from behind, yet he predicted this and moved his blade back blocking her strike.

     He glanced back before jumping forward to the other side of the small field, after which he turned and rose his blade being equal with her "I expected more if I'm honest" he spoke with a cocky smirk, as he knew this was a way to get her angry and fight more aggressively.

     "Tch, you think I don't know what you're doing? Well, I'll do what you want!" She shouted at him as she charged forward and jumped into the air, using her back leg to propel her forward into a front flip, once she was in the air she attempted to strike at him even though she was upside down. He narrowly dodged this and landed behind her where she used the hilt of her blade to hit the back of his legs.

     This action caused him to fall forward only for the Zoroark to tackle him, which made him drop his blade. They wrestled on the ground for a few moments which included the two exchanging some interesting words, yet it ended with Yuzi pinning the male down "Shit...you always end the battle with tackling me that's not a part of training!" He spoke, glaring at her.

     Yuzi chuckled softly and sat up panting softly, she moved her hand forward placing a claw on his beak with a smirk on his face " Gotta think outside the box bird-brain" she said before flicking his beak which made him flinch a bit, yet he moved his hand up placing it on hers flipping their position which allow him to pin her for a moment and laugh.

     "What was that about thinking out the box?" He spoke in a teasing tone since he'd actually managed to switch them, something which he normally wasn't able to do since her guard was always up.

     "Pfft, get off of me you asshole, you're heavy" she said laughing a bit before she used her back leg to kick him and push him off which left them on the ground a few feet apart. "If you messed up my hair then, you're doing it for me," she told him sitting up and brushing her hair back seeing it wasn't too messy or dirty which was a relief, as washing and brushing out her hair was always hell.

     The Decidueye smiled before he stood up and stretched, walking to his katana picking it up and wiping it off before he spun it and sheathed it. "Whew, training is always great with you Yui," He said picking up her katana and tossing it to her with a small smile.

     She caught it after standing up and flashing him a smile, she proceeded to clean it off and sheath it nodding in agreement "There isn't anyone I'd rather train with every day" she said stretching and dusting herself off.

     "Have you eaten yet today?" Noki asked curiously as he'd skipped breakfast in order to be here early which wasn't good, to say the least, yet he was very hungry and wanted to know if the Zoroark wanted to get some food with him.

     "Oh uh...I did eat breakfast, but a snack wouldn't hurt right?" She said with a smile as she pushed her hair to the side and started to walk the male joining her side quickly after.

     The two Pokémon walking at one another's side, they began to walk down a path that led away from the clearing which they had just trained in. The path itself led to a small village, which was nearby from where the two lived, they were well known since they were both the protectors of the area, as their homes were in a more remote part of the forest which wasn't so easily accessible by the army of samurai which inhabited the island.

     Yuzi sigh from happiness as she walked into the village, this village wasn't too small of one, yet it wasn't anything to be impressed by. It was simply a humble place where folks made due with what they had. "Always feels great walking into here"

     As she said this Noki glanced back at her with a smile nodding in agreement "Makes my stomach growl from the way it smells" he said as he looked over to a small home which was situated right next to a stream, there was a stand here along with an older looking Blaziken, who was sat behind a counter with a few different options of cooked and raw fish for sale.

     The two walked up to the old man, who even in his elder days still was around a foot taller than the two, they both bowed to the man and he smiled recognizing the two "Ah, I was wondering when you two would come by again heh" he spoke with a soft chuckle before he leaned back sitting down, even at his sitting level he was nearly eye-level with the two.

     Noki smiled at his words, as his gaze followed the male who sat down before them "Well, what can we say you make the best fish around" he said attempting to get on his good side.

     "You know it's customary for us to come visit you, Fuku," Yuzi said, smiling at him, she wasn't too hungry herself, but she was going to buy something as she always felt sympathy for the Blaziken ever since his wife passed a few years before.

     "Well, what can I get for you two? I just came back with some fish. I have them cooking, and there's fresh strawberries picked this morning if you'd like." He said leaning back and turning the fish that was cooking on a stick over a flame.

     The two smiled at what he'd offered and after buying their food, they began to walk to a nearby hill which overlooked the lake which wasn't too far from their village. Noki had gotten a fish which was served on a stick wrapped in a few leaves which were meant to keep it warm, Yuzi had bought a bundle of strawberries which was wrapped in a small cloth.

     "Hold on we're almost there, then you can eat," Yuzi said to the male who rolled his eyes playfully since he did enjoy eating with her, but he was tempted to just start anyway as his mouth was starting to water. After a few minutes of walking the two finally arrived at the hill.

     Noki looked down, before he placed a hand to the ground and sat down wrong a small sigh as he was a bit tired, yet he unwrapped the snack he'd brought placing the leaves to the side before he leaned in taking a bite of the fish pulling back and chewing "Mmm... No matter how old he gets, Fuku can always man some great fish"

     Yuzi sat down after which, she unwrapped the bundle which held quite a lot of the berries, she picked one up with her claw and popped it into her mouth which made her tilt her head back with a smile. "Man this is the life" she suddenly said as she had a good life in her eyes, not an easy one, yet she was grateful for it.

     "Hm? Oh you mean us beating the hell out one another and grabbing lunch afterwards?" He asked with a small laugh as he tilted his head to the side and looked at the lake which seemed very peaceful. "I do have to agree with you, even though we don't really do much it's still nice training with yo—" his words were suddenly cut off as she grabbed a strawberry and placed it between his beak. He looked at her in confusion, before she leaned down a bit and took a bite from the fish having a satisfied smile on her face.

     She leaned back on one of her hands, before she finished chewing and grabbed another strawberry. "As much as I enjoy you talking your fish is getting cold," she said with a soft yawn as she ate another strawberry before leaning her head onto the shoulder of the male.

     Neither of them found this odd in the slightest, since they'd been friends nearly their entire lives so this was just something normal to the both of them. "You almost ready to head out again?" He asked as he was nearly done eating but in his mind, he wouldn't have minded if they stayed like this for a while longer.

     "Hmm... Like you said, we don't really do much so can stay for a while" She said before glancing up at him, their gazes met and it made them smile as they looked back to the lake, even after they'd finished their food, they stayed for awhile enjoying the cool breeze, along with one another's presence.
