Alice found a path, a path that somehow led her back to 1942, to a country fighting for its survival,  and to Gil.  But Alice couldn't stay.

Back in 2012, she has found and lost Gil all over again. She made him a promise, one she will do anything to keep.  Now she just has to find that path again.  

When something unbelievable happens, is it too much to ask for it to happen twice?

This story is set in the fictional village of Cheltwell, deepest Norfolk.  Whilst the story, characters and locations are entirely made-up, the heroics of the young allied servicemen based in East Anglia during the Second World War are not.
