Sparrow's pov

When we got to the main hall I saw two girls and two boys. "Hello Sparrow my name is Aqualad. I am the leader of this team. The green skinned one is Miss Martian or Miss M if it is to much. The one dressed in green is Artemis. The other boy is-,"

I didn't let him finished and instead finished for him, "Project Kr," I told them. They all looked at me and Kr looked angry. 

"How do you know that," Artemis asked me. I was confused. All the talons that are high enough up in ranking know about Kr he was the escaped project that another Talon fought so hard to get the DNA for. "All high ranked Talons know about you. If i'm correct it was eagle who had a hard time trying to get the DNA to make you. The first one was a failed and frozen, while you were made with half human DNA," I told them.

"Yeah! Well I'm no clone! I'm my own person!," He said angrily.

"No your not," I told him. They gave me weird looks again. "No one is their own person. We all have someone who we have to follow. Kid flash follows the Flash, I follow my master, you follow the target that is made up of half of your DNA not to mention the villain known as Lex Luther, the other half of your DNA" I told him. 

They kept giving me weird looks. "Whaddya mean," Kid Flash asked.

"You don't go through all the trouble of making a clone and let it escape that easy," I told them. 

"You must be mistaken my friend. We already scanned him for cadmus programming," Aqualad told me. 

"I must be thinking of something else," I told them.

"Let's forget all of this and try some cookies," Miss Martian said as she flew towards us.

"What is a cookie," I asked them. 

"Dude are you serious?! You really don't know what a cookie is? Here try one," Kid Flash said giving me one of the cookies from the Martian.

I said thank you and tried it. It was good, but it tasted weird. I took one bite and decided it was enough. "I am sorry. It taste weird," I told them.

"Weird how," Aqualad asked me.

"They have this weird taste that makes me want to run around and jump on everything," I explained.

"That is called sugar," Aqualad told me.

A few minutes later Kid Flash saw the time," Sorry guys it's getting late and ima have to leave soon. I still gotta show Sparrow over here his room," He said.

He grabbed me by the arm and led down a hall. Their were rooms all up and down the hall and Kid Flash explained, "This mountain is made up of a lot of halls, but since only the partners stay here their are only three halls filled with rooms. Every one has their own room even if some of us don't live here. Your room is in hall 1 along with Superboy and Miss M. Your room is number 6. Give us a few days and we'll get your name on the door instead of the number," He stopped at the door to open it.

"Superboy is in room 1, Miss M room 2, Aqualad in room 3, Artemis in room 4, and I'm in room 5. Since it's a school night only Miss M and Superboy are going to be here, seeing as they live here. Everyone has a passcode to get into their room. You don't have to tell anyone unless you want to, but just a warning Supes is able to breakdown the doors if he feels the need, or is just really angry. For safety reasons Bats wants to know yours. It can be anything. Once you type it in it will send straight to him. Last but not least, you are to be in bed by 9 on school nights and midnight on the weekend, unless mission, but that is once you are allowed on missions.If you have any problems go talk to Black Canary during the day. If it's a night, I suggest going to Miss M's room," he explained.

Suddenly he stood up, "I guess I'm leaving for now. Why don't you stay in here and look at your new room for now. Bedtime is in 15 minutes anyways, might want to get ready," He walked out.

I did as he said and got ready and went to sleep. The only problem is I didn't fall asleep till midnight and even then I woke up covered in sweat.

Wally's Pov

Once I said bye to Sparrow I saw the team. "Why are you being nice to him," Artemis asked me angrily. 

"Because he really hates the court. Well the court and whoever his master is. Didn't you see him. He looked no more then 10, 13 at the most. He said that he was the top Talon that the court had. He said that his real name is Sparrow. You saw the guy he didn't even know what cookies were, much less sugar. He very much believes that his family gave him up to sever the court of owls. the problem with that is that he knows his parents were murdered. He hates that life," I told her getting lost in though about the conversation we had before we boarded the bioship.

"And how do you know this anyways,"she asked me.

"I was with him during the interrogation. We also had a bonding moment before he was going to kill me. How else do you think I convinced him to come with me. I really do have to go now. Oh! Miss M before I forget, I told him that if he had any problems during the night to come to you," I told her as I was heading for the zeta tube. She told me that it was fine and to go.

Once I was back in Kansas I ran to my house and tried to make dinner as fast as possible. Kid Flash or not, I still have to get dinner ready before my dad comes home.

It was 45 minutes later I heard the door open and slam shut. Next thing I know he is walking in the kitchen drunk as usual. I decided to make something quick that is easy to make, it's not like he knows how long it takes to make spaghetti.

Right when he sat down at the table I put the plate in front of him. "You ungrateful brat. I told you I wanted the house cleaned when I got home," He said as I felt a fist connect to my face. Looks like I'm wearing makeup tomorrow. "I'm sorry really. I got almost the whole house clean," I told him in fear. "Almost isn't what I asked for. I go to work everyday and earn the money to put food on this table. For you to go to school and eat, so I'll give you a choice. You can either take the beating or no food for the whole week," He told me.

I knew that I needed food to live, and if I go ahead and take the beating I can eat the food and heal quicker. I should be lucky he's giving me a choice at all, usually he gives me whichever one he thinks is worse. It's a good thing I didn't tell him how much of food I really need to live.

"I'll take the beating. You can punch me and kick me as much as you want. Just please beat me," I begged him. If I was able to get food tonight, then the bruises should heal by tomorrow. 

Not even ten minutes later he left me to finish his food and to drink more. I climbed to the top of the stairs to my room and started to bandage my wounds. Knowing that if I go back down their now he would be more drunk then before and would defiantly beat me senseless.

Suddenly I heard my phone ring and saw that It was Roy. "Sup dude," I told him.

"Wally. You sound terrible! Wait! Did it happen again. Wally I swear if it happened again," He said.

I quickly stopped him and told him that the team had a mission today and blamed it on that. It's bad enough that Roy knows that my dad sometimes hits me. It would be worse if he told someone. I explained about Sparrow and the mission, until It was time for me to go and get some food.

I told him bye and hung up.
