~One week after last chapter~

~Alexander POV~

I sank into the couch next to my brother. Ever since we were able to capture Lee at the bookstore we hadnt gone back to the college. We didnt need to now that we had finished our mission.

Ever since that day, we've been interrogating Lee non-stop. Me and James just finished our turn. We interrogated him for 3 hours straight. We were able to get a few things out of him. Right now it was Lucy and Adrienne's shift. I felt a little pity for him. Those girls could be terrifying when they wanted to be.

The disguises from Dr. Franklin had begun to wear off. My hair and my eyes had become a few shades darker and my skin was almost to its normal complexion. I looked like a cross of normal self and the disguise that I had been wearing for the past 2 weeks.

I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. I let my thoughts drift as I relaxed for the first time in a few days. Soon enough, I came back to the person that I had tried so hard to keep out of my mind.

Thomas

God, I missed him. I missed him so much. Even though I hadnt seen him in almost a year I still love him.

I love him. I love him.

Everytime I saw his face, my breath was taken away. I wish that I could still slip my hand into his. I wish that I could still run my hand through his soft hair.

But I cant. Never again. Ever.

I sighed as I heard a beep come from my phone. I opened my eyes and saw James asleep next to me. I wish I could fall asleep easily. He could pass out where ever he wanted to. He was a deep sleeper.

I leaned over him to grab my phone from the sidetable and checked it.

Come to the wooded area next to the library.

I frowned at the text. I contemplated asking who it was but I decided not to. I got up and put a coat on.

~Time skip to when he gets there~

As I walked throught the trees and bushes, I scanned the area for anyone. I stayed close enough to the library so that I could see it but anyone inside wouldn see me. I smiled faintly as I looked at the building.

I spent many of my hours here after classes studying, borrowing books, or just screwing around with my friends.

I heard a rustle come from behind me and I spun around. I came face to face with a burly man holding a handgun. He was at least a foot taller than me.

"So you actually came," he said in a deep voice.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want?" I said in a demanding voice. I was a little nervous. I had forgotten to bring a weapon of my own which meant I was unarmed. I could be so stupid sometimes.

"I'm part of the ~insert some creative name~ agency," he sneered. (this guy is part of the rival agency, the agency lee was in) I gave hima disgusted look. What did he want with me?

"You see your little friends there?" He pointed to a group of three people sitting by the big windows of the library. They were laughing together and they all had big smiles on their faces. My heart dropped when I saw who they were.

John, James, and Thomas.

"They're gonna die in 20 seconds if you dont give us something that we want." Then he stated to count.

20, 19, 18...

Oh god. Oh no. I couldnt just let them get shot by this guy. But I also couldnt give any information to him either. I felt helpless. There was nothing I could do.

15, 14, 13...

I saw the gunman glance at me and smirk. I wanted to punch that stupid grin off his face. I could try to tackle him. No. That would never work. He was bigger, stronger, and he had a gun.

10, 9, 8....

I was frozen. I couldnt do anything. It was either watch one of my friends die right before my eyes or betray my dad.

5...

Suddenly, I had an idea. I knew exactly what they wanted.

4...

It was absurd but it was my only plan.

3...

"Wait!" I shouted. The guy put his gun down and faced me with a look of triumph.

"So?"

"What do you want? I'll do anything," I asked desperately. I already knew what he was going to say. I hated telling him that. I sounded so pathetic.

"We want you dead," he mumbled with an evil smirk.

Ding ding. Right answer.

"Fine."
