[Lets Talk] Max's Fear

Good day to you all lovely readers.

Now there is much intrigue as to what Max's fear really is and I've decided to clear it up in a way that will not expose Max's past TOO much.

To begin with, failure.

It's a concept that many people fear and do not like, and Max is one of them. Max cannot accept failure since she's never allowed to fail even though it's completely natural.

If some of you recall, Tamaki assumes Max's fear is of the ocean but it's not that at ALL.

I've had many readers assume she is scared of heights, thunder, the ocean, water, falling, and other things. I hate to say that these are incorrect, but they play into Max's true fear.

Failure.

Max was "raised" in an environment that did not accept anything less than perfection from her, sometimes being punished for being less than what's expected. This caused Max's mindset to grow in a way that is striving for perfection, rejecting failure.

On another related point I swear. Do you know about those moments when you've done something similar to something you've done in the past, or seen something that's associated with a memory and you immediately remember it.

That's what the ocean is to Max.

It's a stimulus to Max's memories, causing her to remember the first time she truly failed. I won't go into details on this event, that's further into the story.

If some remember the moment when Max fell off the cliff in "The Sun, The Sea, And The Host Club!" Pt. 1, when Max crashed into the water, she admitted to having failed at something, and that is when she gave up in the ocean, and at that moment she stopped thrashing until Tamaki reached her. So therefore, Max's fear is NOT the ocean. It's failure.

Some might wonder why Max is so afraid of failing, and that is all connected to her past. I'm afraid I'm not going to reveal any of that.

Man I'm gonna get yelled at.

Oh well.

Please be patient. I'm trying my best with updating.

I hope this chapter was helpful. Soooo....

BUH-BYE!!!
