Final Stop: I love you. Goodbye.

True to her word, the black car sped through the traffic and was in the Albrecht mansion just in twenty minutes despite the traffic.

"Woah... next time we go out I'll drive. I don't want to die early."

Liana smiled faintly as she replied, "sure... next time. Um, go straight to that large tree in your backyard. I'll follow."

Orion nodded and made his way to the big tree. He made himself comfortable under the shade until Liana arrived with a big picnic basket.

"Oh good! The sun hasn't set yet! Prince Orion move over so I can lay the blanket."

"I'll help you."

The two of them laid the blanket and Liana arranged everything she made on the blanket with Orion watching her fondly, "wow... you made all these?"

Liana shyly nodded, not looking at her fiancée as she continued arranging the containers, "um... we can eat as soon as I lay everything out okay."

"As long as I get to eat! Oh wow... are those tarts? Apple pie! They all look amazing!"

*chuckle* "take a plate then sample anything that you want. I don't know how the new ones I made taste though...but if you want to still try then go ahead."

"Don't mind if I do..."

Liana smiled as she watched the man she loves eat the food she baked with all her heart. Memorizing how his eyes would change into small slits as it sparkled with satisfaction with every bite of the food she made. How he would lightly blow the cupcake to make sure it isn't hot before he bites. To the way he would place exactly two pieces of each kind on his plate, not letting the other pastry be 'lonely' as he said a few years ago.

She momentarily tore her eyes away from Orion just as red and orange dominated the sky, "I'll miss this."

"Then let's do this again."

She shook her head with a sad smile on her face in response, not once looking away from the reddish orange sky. Orion placed the half-bitten cupcake down on his plate, worry visible on his face...

" Lia, what's wrong? You've been acting weird since yesterday."

"Orion..." *slight pause* "I-"

Liana bit her lower lip as she tried to stop the tears from falling. She is determined to get her point across, and she knows she can't do it if she breaks down...

"You're trembling... little panda, tell me what it is. You know I'll do what I can for my best girl."

"I know" *pause* "that's why... I'm letting you go."

"What do you mean?"

Liana moved closer to Orion and held one of his hands, "I've been selfish... caging you with me even though I knew it is impossible for you to love me back. I suppose...at the back of my mind... I hoped that somehow, I can squeeze my way into your heart."

Orion looked confused as he slowly removed his hand from Liana's hold, "I do not understand a single thing that you are trying to say... what is this all about?"

"I've... talked to mom and dad and they have agreed to cancel our engagement."

"W-what? Why so sudden? Unless..." Orion's eyes widened as he realized, "you fell in love?"

Liana chuckled drily as she sat back down, "Ori... I was already in love way before we made that deal."

"You were? Who? I mean... why did you accept the deal if you were?"

"You have always been the smartest but the densest person I know..." *chuckle* "Be happy with Miss Yoorim..."

*gasp* "How did you know about Yoorim?"

Liana forced a smile on her face as she awkwardly scratched her head, "Well, I was planning to surprise you last Tuesday, but I was the one who got the surprise of my life when I saw you kissing her in the patio."

Orion looked down, "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to keep it from you but I'm not sure if what I feel for her is love or not. Sure she makes me happy but she has been the only girl who has gotten this close to me other than you and..."

"Orion..."

Orion looked up surprised at the sharp tone and met with a sad smile from the younger girl, "no need to feel sorry for me...you don't have to comfort me or anything. Even though I look like this, I'm strong."

The sun had already set and the lights on the tree started to light up one by one... Liana stared at the lights, taking her own sweet time admiring the view, "The sun is gone. I guess this is it."

Orion felt the unsettling feeling in his stomach grow as Liana drew a deep breath and spoke, " I love you. I always had and probably will still do in a few months... but I hope you keep the happiness you have while I try looking for mine."

"Y-you are in love with me?"

At that Liana laughed loud, "that's why I said you are the densest. Never mind that small fact now though... just concentrate on being happy... as long as you are, I'll be happy too."

"B-but this is no small fact! If it's true, that you love me then...you..."

The younger girl stood and removed the necklace from her neck, smiling softly, "I was the happiest during the past four years as your fiancée despite whatever other people might say."

Liana placed the necklace inside Orion's hand and held on tightly, unshed tears in her eyes. "I am very happy that at the very last day I was able to experience what it would have been liked to be the girl that you love. No regrets."

"I gave this to you... Why are you-?"

Liana shook her head, smile still on her lips, "I'm just letting you keep it safe until such time when I have forgotten my feelings for you. When I do, I'll get that back." *pause* "Please finish that cupcake while I take the other stuff away. The rented time is almost over, and you know I stick to schedules."

Orion popped the half cupcake in his mouth, and they worked in silence. After everything has been put away, the former fiancées walked back to the mansion...

"Don't tell your parents about this yet, okay? Mom and dad will tell them about this tomorrow. "

Orion smiled sadly, "Mom would be heartbroken..."

"It's gonna be okay. She would understand. It was for the best anyway."

"Is it?"

Liana didn't answer and looked ahead as they soon reached the gate of the mansion, Liana stopped and waved at her ex-fiancée, "I won't be coming in anymore... since it's late and all. Um... can I ask for one last favor?"

"Of course. What is it?"

Liana childishly grinned and Orion's heart leaped a bit, "Stay still and close your eyes."

He guessed what she wanted to do but why he allowed it or why his heart seems to be anticipating it are questions he pushed at the back of his mind as he stood still with his eyes closed...

"I love you, Orion. Thank you and goodbye."

Orion felt warmth on his lips and before he can react... the warmth on his lips were gone. He opened his eyes and saw Liana walking towards her black car as he touched his lips... which at that moment tasted sweet yet slightly salty...
