Jerome's P.O.V

"I can't believe you actually brought me here" I whine, as my overly childish boyfriend drags me into the doors of an adoption centre. No we are not getting a child. Mitch just wants to look at the puppies.

"They're going to be so cute, Jerome you're going to love them!" Mitch exclaims, jumping at every step he takes.

When we walk in we're greeted by a young lady standing at the front desk. "Hello how may I help you two gentlemen?" She asks looking up from her computer meeting our eyes

"We'd like to look at the puppies please" Mitch asks, lacing his fingers through mine.

"Of course right this way" She looks down at our intertwined hands and flashes us a small smile.

Mitch and I are lead into a medium size room, filled with different breeds of puppies. I have to adimit, Mitch was right these are fucking adorable, but that doesn't mean we're getting one.

I glance over at Mitch and his expression was insanely adorable. His eyes wide with happiness and he unlaced our hands and ran over to one of the cages with puppies inside.

This is why I love Mitch, he can be very childish at some points, but then he can also be very serious whenever he needs to be. Either mode I'm okay with because he's cute in any mood.

Slowly I walk around the room looking at all the different breeds, when one stuck out, tiny German Shepard puppies, they look like my dogs back home in New Jersey. Gently I unlatched the cage door and walked in with all the puppies.

Suddenly they all swarmed over to me and jumped on my lap, arms and stomach. Their little paws clawed at my hands which obviously made them look even more cute.

After playing with the puppies for a little 4 of them went back to their beds while one stayed with me. He was by far the dominant one out of them all, but he also seemed the most playful. I think if we we're to get one I would want him.

Switch to Mitch's P.O.V

My eyes widened as the worker lead us into the room, there was puppies every where! Multplie breeds as well, oh Jerome's gonna hate me by the time we're done here. I'm not leaving this building without a puppy and I have a feeling Jerome knows that very well.

I release my hand from Jerome's and run towards the first cage of puppies I see. This is going to be extremely hard to choose.

I've been playing with different breeds of puppies for a while now, and there's been one breed that I really like, they're called Jack Russell terriers. In totally there is 3 of them and my favourite one by far is the smallest clumsiest one.

Switch back to Jerome's P.O.V

Eventually I decided to go see what Mitch was up to, slowly I unhooked the latch on the cage Mitch was in with the puppies.

"Hey baby you ready?" I ask

"No, Jerome I can't leave! I need this dog" He replies bringing the dog up to my level.

"Mitch we don't need a pet"

"Yes we do! Jerome I'm not leaving without this dog" Mitch says firmly

"Mitch even if we were to get a dog, what if I didn't want this breed" I reply

"Well  what breed do you want then"

"I kinda wanted the German Shepherd breed, cause it reminds me of my dogs back in Jersey" I shrug

"Then we can get both!" He exclaims

"Mitch I don't think we need one dog, let alone two"

"Come on please, you want me to be happy, don't you?" He pouts

"Of course I do! It's just I don't think we need pets"

"Jerome pleaseeeeee, it'll be a good experience"

"I don't know, but..." I mean I guess it could be fun, plus they're really adorable, ah fuck it.
"Fine, we can get the dogs" I sigh

"Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you" He yells, gently setting down the puppy and jumping into my arms.

"You're welcome" I chuckle. "Now lets go pay for these little guys" I say

-Skip to after they're done paying and stuff-

Softly Mitch and I set the puppies in the middle seats of the car and make our way to the front of the car. I was about to get in the drivers seat when Mitch grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him. "Hello" I chuckle

"Hi" He giggles, "I love you so freaking much" Mitch says, resting his head on my shoulder.

"I love you too" I reply, gently lifting his chin up with my index finger. His beautiful caramel eyes filled with happiness and love. Suddenly he presses our lips together, filling the kiss with love and care.

We pull away to a slight whine coming from the puppies. "We better get home so we can play with the puppies" I say letting go of Mitch's chin.

"Yay I'm excited" Mitch replies and jumps slightly.

Sometimes it's good having a childish boyfriend
