Amity's POV:
Ever since the age of two, my mother trained me under her wing to be a member of her mafia. She told me how to fight, kill and be cold-hearted.
I had to watch as my best friend was kicked out of the group, I had to watch as she started dating my nemesis Hunter and how they started having a happier life together. I had to watch all of this and keep a straight face.

"You're so cute by the way!" Luz squealed.
"Wait what?!" I exclaimed, my face turning red again, "No I'm not!"
"Yes you are, has no one ever told you that before?" Luz asked.
"I have a complicated past..." I muttered.
"Well, here's my phone number if you ever want to tell me about it!" She replied and handed me a little note.
I smiled when I saw the heart drawn underneath it.
"Thanks," I replied.
I waved her off but as I watched her leave with a smile on my face, a lived hand gripped my shoulder tightly. That hand has touched me so many times that it was that familiar, it was my mother's...
