The Overweight Girl At The Gym
My name Anne, and I'm the fat girl at the gym.
~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~~•~
This is my first week at the gym and every night after work, the same three girls are there.
Today I found out they have been snap chatting pictures of me and making fun of me.....
But I didn't mind them, even though it hurts to know.
But in case of being mad at them, I went beside them at the gym. The three skinny girls were staring at me like I was a mistake in this world, the other one said-
"What do you want FATTY!?!" She said.
I didn't get mad when I heard Fat, instead, I replied with a smile and I said:
"I'm glad that you haven't been through what I've been through."
"I used to be in shape, them one day I broke my hip and had to give up all exercises I supposed to do every day and night."
"Then my grandma got sick and I took care of her full time. I couldn't leave her alone because I had no help, my mom died of cancer when I was six. And my dad tried to suicide, instead, he died of a car accident when he was going to work."
"My Grandma died after 3 months of taking care of her, she may be in peace after that day but I ate my feelings and gained more weight"
After saying that, tears came down to my chest. I continued to share my emotions with them as the other girl started to join me cry my suffer. As she was like say sorry to me for being mean, I continued more...
" Now I'm a girl and I'm a size 22. I don't hate myself or my body, I love who I am, and that took me my entire life to be able, to be honest to myself and to everyone. I was able to say words out of my mouth without being hurt, I felt free."
"It just that, it sucks that society thinks that they have the right to judge each other. And your parents raised you that it was okay to try to hurt someone that's trying to be better, to be happier than ever be. But instead of trying to lift them up, we insult them, hurt them, judge them. It's not you, or anyone else will accept me. No matter what they say I'm still gonna be me, and I know sometimes it sucks, but you have to keep it up. Love the way you do You."
After I said those things, I didn't notice that everyone in the gym was staring at me and started clapping and others were actually crying at my story. After that day, you wouldn't believe what happened. Everyone was waiting at me inside the door of the gym and the manager of the gym asked:
"Your story is very touching, and I wanna ask if you wanna be an instructor in my gym. Your choice?"
And I simply replied with a smile and said"
"I would be honoured to teach myself and them to keep believing to their self that THEY CAN DO IT!"
"I hope anyone else who feels ugly or overweight, had decided to make a life change and will keep going."
Now that you have read her story, why don't you check out some of my stories? I hope you like the ending, and please vote and comment if you were touch by Anne's story.
