Protection

3rd person POV

Alex sits at the kitchen island, reading a book used by the group of witches that had magic similar to their own. Serenity watching as she makes breakfast. Oscar had already left for work. "Apparently, due to the nature of my magic, this kid has found another pregnant witch and transferred all her symptoms to me." Alex says, slightly out of breath.

Serenity was confused. "Can that be why you were feeling burnt out whenever we're around Wanda?" Alex nods. "I can break the connection so my pregnancy won't continue being synced with hers. If she is the Scarlet Witch, and if she made this town, I don't want this kid to be caught up in her magic." Alex closes the book and heads out to the living room.

They come back in after a minute. "That's over and done with." They start feeling less tired and their headache dissipates. Serenity hugs Alex, who reciprocated the hug.

"Your parent loves you too much to not protect you." Serenity says to the baby bump, causing Alex to chuckle lightly. As they talk, the scenery starts changing again to fit the style of the 70s. Serenity ends up in a tube top and a pair of bell bottoms. The duo's hair go straight as Alex was put in a blue maternity dress, much to Alex's dismay.

"Isn't that like the third time since we got here?" Alex asks. Serenity shrugs. They get a knock at the door. The two freeze. No one else knows about the pregnancy. "It's ok, I fix." Alex says as they head towards the door, Serenity following.

Serenity sits herself down as Alex opens the door. "Lena, what's up?" Geraldine smiles at Alex, who smiles back. "I just wanted to pop by, see how my best friends are doing." Alex softly chuckles. "We're doing fine, Geraldine." They reassure the woman.

"If you need anything, you know where I am." Geraldine tells the two. "Thanks for letting us know."

Geraldine leaves as Alex closes the door. "Hopefully this will all be over before I have to get this baby out." Alex exhausts as they sit down next to their sister. They turn on the TV, just for the lights to go out. "Can we just blame Wanda for this?" Alex says.

Oscar opens the door. He tries turning on a light, just to find out it won't work. Alex groans.

The doorbell rings as the two get up from the couch. As Serenity and Alex reach the door, Oscar opens it to see Wanda's husband on the other end. "Why, Mr. Vision. How are you and Wanda doing?" Alex asks him. "Wanda and I are doing great." He responds, trying to look into the house.

Alex places their hand behind their back, green energy surrounding it. Vision's eyes glow green before slowly fading back. Alex gives him a silent command as he leaves the house, Oscar shutting the door.

Alex's energy stays as they continue controlling The Vision.

"It appears the whole block is out," the controlled Vision told his wife as he changed into his synthesizoid form, the stone in his head changed to green.

"Oh, and that was just a fake contraction. Who knows what will happen when the real thing starts." Wanda responds as she sits on the couch. "Do you think they know it's my fault?" She asks Vision, leaving both him an Alex confused. "With all the close calls we've been having, it seems the people of Westview are always on the verge of discovering our secret."

Vision started talking on his own, eyes and stone still green. "I know what you mean. But it's more than that, isn't it?" Alex has him sit down next to Wanda as he continues talking. "Mr. and Mrs. Hart, dinner. Outside with Herb. I think something's wrong here, Wanda." Visions eyes start glowing brighter due to Alex's anxiety.

"Yes, I know what you mean." Alex sits down on their couch as they still have control over him. "The truth is, we are in unchartered waters and you know what? I'm anxious, too." Vision follows Alex's actions and sits next to his wife.

Alex, feeling satisfied, let's Vision go and rests against the couch. "You back?" Serenity asks them. "Wanda is pregnant, too. Her baby and mine were synced before I broke it." Alex rushed the words out. Oscar rests his hands on Alex's forearms. "Slow down. What did you see?"

Alex took a deep breath and explained to him why they were feeling out of it the day before and the unborn babies being connected. "Me and Vision are connected now. Whenever I need to see anything going on in that house, I can just," they gesture with their hand before getting up. "I feel like a walk would do me some good. That guy is not human." They chuckle.

As soon as they say that, the pipes bust and water started pouring into the living room. Oscar and Serenity rush out of the house after Alex.

Alex closes and locks the door, pocketing the key. They walk over to The Vision house. They see Agnes and Herb on each side of the fence separating Vision's property from Herb's.

Agnes notices the three. She smiles and waves them over. "Hiya, girls. Come over." The three head over. "It was storming in our house. We're waiting it out." Alex explains as they lean against the fence.

Agnes glances down at their stomach. "Yes, we're expecting." Alex says as they and Oscar clasps hand. "Ah. Congratulations, Charles." Herb says to Oscar, who gives him a polite smile. Agnes smiles as well.

Soon Vision rushes out of the house, the wind rushing with him. The girls bush their hair out of their face as the men smoothed out their shirts. "Wow." Geraldine walks up next to them. "Did you guys see that?"

The group nods. "By the way, do any of you guys have a bucket?" Everyone shakes their heads. "Wanda might have one." Serenity tells her. "I'll check with her. Thanks, Sylvia." Geraldine knocks on the door. Wanda opens the door.

"Wanda, what's up?" Geraldine walks in. The door closes. Alex felt a little uneasy. "Something's not right in there." They tell the others. "You're telling me, hun." Agnes agrees with them.

After a few minutes of Geraldine being in the house, Wanda starts screaming. The group debated on whether or not going in was a good idea. They decided against it. After the screaming stopped, Vision came back with Dr. Neilson. Alex linked themself and Vision again, wanting to know what's happening.

"Oh no, I missed it?" Vision sets down the doctor as Alex has him going closer to Wanda. Alex sees that Wanda has given birth. They disconnect themself from Vision.

After more screaming the doctor and Vision walk out of the house, the group started talking again until Vision got their attention. "Howdy neighbors!"

The five give him their own replies before going back to their conversation.  "Beautiful day we're having. Did any of you loose power?" Vision asked.

"Sure did, but Ralph looks better in the dark, so I'm not complaining." Agnes says before Alex gives a chuckle. Vision turns to his coworkers. "Herb, Charles."

Oscar nods as Herb acknowledges Vision. "I'll just go back to Wanda, then." Vision said, starting to turn back. "Vision." Serenity stops him. He turns back to face her. "Is Geraldine still in there with Wanda?"

Vision nods, unsure of what she was saying. "She's new to town. Brand new." Herb interjected. Agnes joined in. "There's no family. No husband."

"There's nothing wrong with that." Vision said. "She has no home, Vision. She talks of how me abd her are best friends, yet I'm always the one inviting her over."

"What do you all mean she has no home?" Vision asked as Oscar sets a hand on Alex's shoulder. "She came here because-" Herb started. He tries again, but stops.

"She came here because we're all what? What aren't you telling me?" Vision asks before Herb tries again. Feeling their mission being threatened, Alex turns to Herb as he tries to tell Vision. "Stop it!" They say, begging him to not say anything about it.

The other four watch as Herb stays silent at Alex's words. Alex turns back to Vision. "Well, the three of us gotta get going. No one else is gonna get an electrical worker to our place." They politely smiles to Vision as they drag Oscar and Serenity away from the group.

"What was that?" Oscar asks as the three finally got back to their property. Alex opens the door, seeing the place drenched in water. They bring a nice breeze into the house, drying everything. The three walk in and close the door.

"We were told to do this quietly. We can't if Herb tells Vision. If Vision knows, he'll tell Wanda. And I do not want to be there when she knows that the people here know." They flick their wrist and the lights turn on.

Serenity stays quiet as the two talked. Oscar was still unsure whether or not Alex knew what they were doing. "I don't want to jeopardise this missing more than we've already have. I want to keep this quiet for as long as possible.

Alex sits down on the couch as they turn on the TV. The other two sit down beside them. Oscar wraps one arm around Alex's shoulder and the other is placed on the small baby bump. Serenity smiles at the two, deciding to trust Alex on this.

Something is going on here
Alex hears in her head.
