Walking out of the bathroom, I automatically made a move to the couch where I plopped down next to Two. Before he could react, I snatched the fork out of his hand and snagged a bite of cake.
   "You're actin' awfully happy for a gal who's brother just beat her up." Two remarked sassily.
   "No I'm acting awfully happy as a gal who finally gets a day away from her brother." A sparkle appeared in his eyes.
   "What cha mean by that?" He asked.
   "Bryce is gone until tonight," I explained. "I have some chores that I need to get done before he gets back but they won't take to long. Which means I can hang with y'all today." At this Johnny and Ponys' gaze shifted from staring at the television to gaping at me.
   "Wait really," Ponyboy asked. I nodded in response. Johnny's smile was bigger than I had seen it in a long time.
   "That's great." Johnny said. A large hand landed on my shoulder.
   "So what do you want to do kiddo?" I looked up to see Darry looking down at me kindly. "Today's about lettin' you have some fun." I hesitated for a moment, looked around the room, and then an idea came to me.
   "Can we go track Dal down," I asked. "And then visit Steve and Soda at the DX."I desperately wanted to spend time with the gang as a whole; I hadn't been able to do that in a long time. Smiling, Darry nodded. Stealing one more bite of cake from Two, I jumped to my feet and motioned for the others to follow me. There was a nagging voice in the back off my head telling me to not have to much fun and it served as a reminder that my happiness wouldn't last for long, but I ignored it. The day was just beginning and I was excited to see what it brouught with it.
