"It looks really dark out there." Steve noted looking out the window of the Curtis house.

"Yeah, I've got the weather on. It looks like there's gonna be a tornado coming here soon."
Darry said to him. He looked confused.

"But it was completely sunny an hour ago." Steve said confused.

"Well, the weather isn't something we can control. It does its own thing." Darry said with a shrug, watching again.

Not less than a minute later, they heard the sirens.

"Guys, we gotta take shelter. Go in my room." They didn't have a second floor, so there was no way for the gang take proper shelter.

They started to hear the wind picking up. They heard things being picked up and thrown everywhere. That's when they heard it slowly approaching their house.

They heard the doorget ripped off the hinges, and the roof get blown off. They all screamed as the monster approached them. It picked up Sodapop and threw him into the living room. He hit his head on the coffee table hard. It left a dent where he landed. It then left him unconscious. Ponyboy was in tears because he thought he was dead.

Next was Steve's turn. The debris of Darry's pickup truck clocked him in the head. He held his head with a cry out. He lay there on the ground with his head bleeding. Then a piece of metal, most likely the truck door, hit him in the shoulder.

That wasn't the worst part.

The twister knocked over a lamp and it was still lit, so when it fell onto the chord, it started a fire. Both Steve and Two-Bit were both up in flames. Dallas courageously got their hose and sprayed both of them. They were screaming even after it was out and they did not look good.

The tornado let off and dissipated back into the air.

Soda woke up and the gang were already in front of him.

"Try not to move." Darry told him as the ambulance showed up.

Soda fractured a part if his skull, and would need surgery. Both Two-Bit and Steve had left with third degree burns. They would have those scars forever

Because of the damage, they all had to stay at Two-Bit's house until everything was built back up.

They grew an even stronger bond.
