Dallas and Johnny were out together. They were running errands since Ponyboy was sick and Soda and Darry had to stay home and take care of him. He didn't trust Two-Bit and Steve together. He was afraid that Two-Bit would get caught stealing. Two-Bit and Steve were in the living room with them. Pony was laying on the couch covered in blankets shivering because of his fever and Two-Bit watching TV and eating cake and beer. Steve was standing next to him doing the same and neither of them were allowed to smoke since Ponyboy was sick.

About 10 minutes later, the door opened and Johnny and Dallas entered.  They had their hands full with hoverboards.

"Johnny, Dallas? I told you guys to get groceries not whatever those are? What are those?" He pointed to them. The gang looked looked at them. They were all white and had lights on the side.

"They're hoverboards." Johnny beamed. He seemed so excited.

"How much were they?" Soda sighed.

"They were free for us," Dallas winked.

"You stole,didn't you?" They both nodded.

"I'm not even gonna ask how you didn't get caught" Steve said.

"Well , c'mon, let's try it out!" Two-Bit got up.

He picked one up and turned it on and stood on it. He almost fell on his butt because he wasn't paying attention. It started to rain, so they couldn't go outside.

"Two-Bit, you're gonna break something." Darry scolded.

"Relax, Superman, I got this." He continued to skate around the living room as the lights lid up.

"Woohoo!" Steve and Soda joined in as well as Dallas and Johnny. They all laughed as they got on. Dallas fell on his ass as he tried to get up. Everyone laughed because they knew he wasn't hurt and he just gave them all the finger. Hell, even Darry and Ponyboy got on. Ponyboy fell too and grimaced in pain, clutching his head.

"Ponyboy, are you okay?" Soda asked alarmed.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He answered. He wasn't though. He felt terrible.

"Maybe you should get off." Soda suggested, rolling over to him. "No, I'm ok I wanna keep going." With that, he got back up.

"These things are insane!" Johnny cried happily.

"Yeah, hey watch this!" Dallas jumped up and flipped it.

"Damn, Dal you got quite the moves." Pony commented weakly before laying back down again.

"Ohh! Look at the lights!" Two-Bit freaked out.

"I love how these things move." Steve added.

They spent the rest of the night rolling before they had to recharge.

The next morning they exploded.
