Tim Shepard had a shrine to Dally. When Dally dies, Tim goes into his closet, turns on the single bulb hanging from a chain, and kneels down by the shrine. He picks up a vibrant red rose he'd been meaning to give to Dally for a long time, and clutched it to his chest as tears find their way down his cheeks. He rummages through the poems and pornographic fantasies and pictures of Dally and finds one photo. Originally of Dally and Johnny cuddling in the lot, but Tim had glued his face over Johnny's. He lights the photo on fire and drops if onto the shrine, the whole thing was licked by the flames, paper quickly turning brown. Once the shrine was gone, Tim sprayed the fire extinguisher over it, leaving a foamy substance coating the scorched floorboards. He rips the rose apart. He knows now that him and Dally could never be. Even I'd Dally was alive, he would forever choose Johnny over Tim.
