How about a lighter fix to lighten your mood? In this one shot Darry attempts to give Ponyboy..... THE TALK!

It was a sunny day at the Curtis house. The birds were singing the bees were buzzing and- "SODA WHERE DID YOU PUT THE CAR KEYS?!" Darry Curtis yelled from the kitchen table. "IN MY POCKET!" Soda yelled back. "AND WHY ARE THEY THERE? YOU'RE GROUNDED REMEMBER? NO CAR KEYS!" "WOULD YOU BOTH SHUT UP?!" The youngest brother, Ponyboy yelled getting into the mix. "SHUT IT PONYBOY!" Soda and Darry said at the same time. "Hey kiddo don't forget after school I..uh need to talk with you about something." Darry said ruffling his baby brothers hair. "Okay Dar" Ponyboy smiled.

  It as a long day at school for Ponyboy. Some socs pushed him around here and there and he got an F on his history assignment. Track was canceled because of the rain and now he really just wanted to go home. When he got home however he would forever regret thinking that...

  Ponyboy walked into the silent (for now) household. "PONYBOY!" (There it is) "What now Soda?" He asked calmly. Soda walked in dragging Darry along with him. "Darry here has to tell you something. Go on Darrell." Soda said clamping his hand over his mouth to suppress his laughter. "Well uh listen Pone when a guy and a girl meet..." Oh brother Ponyboy new where this was going. He had already gotten the talk from Two-Bit. This was gonna be interesting.

  "Well first they develop strong feelings for each other, then they meet each other's parents and we'll get married and think about having well children. And there is a whole process. First the male-" Darry told him everything stuttering and blabbering the whole way. "So any questions?" He asked. "Yeah what was the important thing you needed to tell me?" Ponyboy asked. "That" "oh I already know about that." Darry's face stoned. "What?" "Yep" Soda started crying with laughter. Darry was nowhere near laughter.

  "I.am.going.to.kill.you" Darry said and threw Ponyboy over his shoulder. He walked outside, Ponyboy beating on his back, with Soda who was stumbling from laughter. He turned around so Ponyboy had a clear view of what was coming. Darry was gonna drop him into the pool they haven't warmed up since two years ago. (In this they have a pool) "wait! Nonono Darry!" It was to late. SPLASH! He was in freezing cold water.

  Darry and Soda eventually helped him out of the pool and he dried off. Darry made it clear that he was half playing around and half serious when he dropped him. Gosh does he have a great family.
