My name is Maya Winston, Dally is my over protective older brother, I'm 14 years old. I have brown hair and eyes and a little on the tall side since I'm 5'6. I've got really long eye lashes and my lips are a bit on the thicker side. My personality is a lot like Dal so I'm tough, strong, sassy, and really defensive. So that's why I was quote, unquote "over reacting."

"Maya, I don't see why you're over reacting about this." My boyfriend, Ponyboy said to me as we walked into his house.

"I'm not over reacting, what's going on between you and Cherry!" I demanded and gang all immediately looked at us.

"It's nothing you need to worry about." He said rolling his eyes.

I crossed my arms and scowled at him. "Wait, what's going on between you two?" Soda asked.

"Oh nothing, just the fact that Ponyboy's been sneaking around behind my back with that Soc, Cherry Valance, and has absolutely no explanation as to why." I said, pretending like it was nothing.

"I haven't been sneaking around behind your back, maybe if you stopped over reacting I would tell you." Pony said and Dallas then walked in the room. He looked between us as I scowled at Pony.

"I have a right to be angry. You're spending more time with her than your own girlfriend and its making me think that you don't care." I shouted and used my hands to exaggerate.

"Well maybe I would actually want to hang out with you if you weren't so clingy!" Pony shouted back and I stepped back shocked. Dallas looked pissed and about ready to kill Ponyboy. The other guys had to hold him back.

"Fine," I said and began backing up. Ponyboy finally realize what he did and looked guilty. I raised up my hand to stop him from speaking. "If that's how you feel, Ponyboy, then I think we should take a break." I said and walked out the door towards my house. I wanted to cry so bad but I never cried in front of anyone, except for Dally, but he was too busy yelling at Pony. I just walked home and locked myself in my room for the night.

~2 days later~

Pony and I have been taking a break for two days now and I kind of missed him but he's the one that screwed up he needs to come apologize to me. I wasn't really upset about it the morning after so when I walked out of my room the next morning Dally and Johnny were very surprised to see me.

I was now hanging out with Johnny who was my best friend. We were laying on the couch with our legs going over the arm rests and our heads were opposite each other. We were half watching tv the other half we were making fun of the people on the screen. The door bell rang and Johnny jumped up to answer it for me.

I heard mumbling and then Johnny say, "I don't know, dude. I'll ask her."

This got my attention since I'm the only 'her' here. Johnny walked over and kneeled down in front of me.

"Ponyboy's here, do you wanna talk to him or..." he trailed off.

"Ehh, why not, let him in." I said and Johnny nodded looking over at the door.

Johnny left and I say up straight and Ponyboy say down on the other side of the couch from me.

"Hi, Maya." He said to me without looking at me eyes. I kept my eyes focused on the TV.

"I know you are FAR beyond mad an you have a right to be, but just give me a minute to explain myself." He begged and looked at me.

I glanced over, "Fine, you've got a minute."

Pony smiled then took a breath to explain, "Okay, first I'm sorry for everything, sorry for saying you were over reacting cause your weren't, I'm sorry for calling you clingy cause you aren't, and I'm sorry for not telling you before.

"Our math teacher wanted me to tutor Cherry since she was failing the class. It was for everyday after school for an hour. She would sometimes call me at night asking me questions about homework and it would always take longer than I thought.

"Again I'm sorry, for everything. And I understand if you don't forgive me, but please Maya," He reaches onto the floor and grabbed a bouquet of roses and handed them to me. I smiled and smelled the flowers, "I love you..." Pony finished and grabbed my free hand.

I smiled at him, "I forgive you Ponyboy. I love you too."

Pony smiled back and cupped my face with his hands and pulled me in for a short kiss. Dal might not be too happy about this but he'll get over it.
