Ponyboy Imagine

A/N: Requested imagine for PonygirlCurtis722 . I hope you like it, Emily!

Imagine:
Pony's POV:
"Do I really have to go?" I ask my brother, Soda, looking down at my stupid tuxedo. Today is the day of the Homecoming dance, and I still don't have a date. "You'll have fun," He says, trying to convince me, but it doesn't work too well. "But what if I don't? I don't even have a date!" I exclaim. I almost got a date, Emily (your last name). She's really pretty, with those beautiful shiny eyes, and her amazing hair and perfect body. From the few times I've talked to her, she's really sweet, too. But I was too nervous to ask her. I don't think she has a date, so I might have a chance, still. "C'mon, Pony. It'll be fun. Two-Bit's going," Soda says. Well, obviously Two-Bit'll be there, he's the one driving me. He has a date, though. Oddly enough, it's Emily's best friend, Dariann. Suddenly, I hear a honk from outside. "Bye, Pony! Have fun," Soda says, rushing me out. I sigh. "If it's that bad, I guess you can call and me or Darry'll pick you up," He says. I nod and walk out. Opening the backseat door (Because Dariann's in the front with Two-Bit) in Two-Bit's car, I sit down and say, "Hey, Twob-" But I'm cut off by nervousness, because in the seat next to me is Emily. "Hi, Ponyboy," She says nervously. I just wave, too busy looking at her perfect figure. She's wearing a short pink dress, and she looks beautiful. She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Her hair is up, and she's wearing a bit of light make up, which makes her look natural, and pretty. I want to tell her, but I'm too tongue tied. When we get to the dance, we hand our tickets over and walk in to the decorated gym. It's loud in there, and we can barely hear anything over the music. "Hey, Dariann, I'm going over there," TwoBit says pointing in some random direction. "But I'll be back in time for the first slow dance!" He kisses his cheek and walks away. I go in a different direction, trying to find some friends. Maybe I would have stayed, but I'm too nervous to be around her right now. "I can't believe nobody asked you!" Dariann says to Emily when I walk away. "Well," Emily respond. "A few other guys asked me, but I was really hoping Ponyboy would, so I said no to them." Wait what? She wanted me to ask her? Oh. Suddenly feeling bad, I run to the other side of the gym, just in time for the first slow song to start playing. Immediately I see Two-Bit by Dariann's side. Her arms go around his neck, and his around her waist. They look really happy, and I start to wish I had someone to dance with, too. And that's when I realize. Emily's sitting on the bleachers, watching her friends dancing happily, but she looks miserable. "Hey," I say, showing up next to her. "Oh, hey, Pony," She says. "Do wanna dance?" I ask her. Her eyes grow wide. "You mean it? You want to?" She doesn't sound like she believes I want to. "Of course," I say, holding a hand out to help her up. She gladly takes it and in a moment we're up, her head resting on my shoulder with her arms around my neck. I pull her closer and closer to me, until she's looking up into my eyes. Suddenly, I decide I have to take a chance. I kiss her. She kisses back, passionately. "Pony," She whispers after a moment. "Emily," Is my response. "I... I know we don't know each other too well, but I think I'm in love with you. I-" She says, but I cut her off. "Wanna be my girl, Emily?" I ask. Her eyes light up and she nods her head in a way that tells me she couldn't be any happier.
