Dally Imagine

The long awaited imagine for @his_baby_princess_! I hope it's everything you want and more!

"Where'd you get Dal's skull ring again, Makenna?" Two-Bit would ask me every afternoon when I got home. I'd roll my eyes, playing with the ring attached to tell gold chain around my neck.

"Where do you think, Two-Bit?" I'd respond sarcastically. The same way every time. He knew Dally and I've been dating, we've been together on and off since well, forever, he just has never approved of us.

"C'mon, when are you gonna dump that sleeze ball for someone better?" He'd ask. Not even joking. And day after day I'd get upset, defending my boyfriend until the end.

"He's your friend too!" I'd yell at him. The fighting was worse when Dal and I had just been released from jail. Especially recently, when he decided to bail me out. He usually doesn't, if I won't be in there for too long. He'd tell about how Dally gets me into trouble, but really, I'm usually the one getting him into it.

When he's done fighting with me and realizes I wouldn't break up with Dally, he'd play with my bow.

"Sorry, Minnie Mouse," he'd joke. I'd fake a smile and tell him it was okay. But really, it wasn't, because Dally's my boyfriend. I'm in love with him, but I also love my brother. I'd do anything for both of them.

Today, Dally and I sat in a small booth at Buck's, drinking a few beers. He was playing with my hair, which he always did when he was a little tipsy. I loved it.

"I'm glad you're out of the cooler, sweetheart. I hate when you're there, especially without me," he said, winking at me. I'm the only one he calls sweetheart. I sipped my beer before responding.

"Two-Bit wasn't too thrilled either." Dally chuckled, knowing just how pissed he was about that. The longest I've spent in the cooler was a few weeks, Dal and I usually go in together and get out on good behavior.

"It's true," Two-Bit said. Wait, Two-Bit? What was he doing at Buck Merril's?

"They had you on a pretty high bail, baby sis." I blushed, looking behind me. He was standing right there, looking angry. His arms were crossed over his chest, and he wasn't smiling or goofing off with Ponyboy, who stood right next to him.

"Sorry," I muttered. Dally put a proud arm around me, probably thinking of what we did to get in there.

"I might forgive you if you come home with me," Two-Bit said, like I wasn't planning to come home. Which I was, well to the Curtis's at least, or maybe the lot, if that was where Johnny was. So I took Dally's hand and stood up.

"Okay, let's go, babe," I said. Two-Bit glared at me.

"He's not coming," he said. My eyes widened.

"Why not?" I demeaned. I knew why, though. For no other reason than the fact that Two-Bit didn't like us dating. Really though, he couldn't break us up if he tried. Sure, we were on again/off again, but our first kiss was at 7 years old. Dally and I were meant to be together.

" 'Kenna, you know why. You shouldn't be hanging with a delinquent like him," he spoke out of anger, and I knew that normally he would never call Dally a delinquent, no matter how true it was. It was a little rough, but they were buddies, through it all.

"What'd you call me?" Dally asked. Two-Bit repeated himself: "A delinquent, Dal." Dally stared at him angrily for a moment, and then punched him square in the face. In an instant the two of them were on the ground, punching and kicking in their own mini rumble.

"I'm gonna kill you, Mathews," Dally threatened. Two-Bit growled.

"Not if I do it first, Dally. You shouldn't be with my sister." Usually, I found fights fun, thrilling even, to watch, but seeing the two guys I loved most in the world just made me upset. Tears welled up in my eyes, but I blinked them away fast, deciding I needed to break this up, now. After telling them three times to stop, get up and stop being childish, I pulled my black skinny jeans up, and intervened. As soon as they noticed I was tumbling on top of them, they stopped.

"Are you okay, Sweetheart?" Dally asked as soon as we were all standing.

"Get away from her, Dally. Go find some other broad to f*ck, just not my sister," Two-Bit said. That made me angry.

"What did you say?" I demanded. He rolled his eyes.

"You did not just say that, Two-Bit!" I yelled at him.

"Did I say something wrong?" He asked. "I thought that was what he did, hooked up and then dumped them. I'm sorry if I don't want that to happen to you," he said.

"I can take care of myself, Keith," I snapped. He looked hurt. No one ever called him Keith, no matter how angry they were with him.

"Then why don't you?" He asked.  I rolled my eyes. Didn't I already? I had a job, provided for myself, and found my own shelter every night. I had a steady boyfriend, and I was happy. Sure, I'd been to jail a few times, but just because I had a little too much fun.

"Two-Bit, this is stupid. What the hell do you have against Dally?" I asked him. I didn't see anything wrong. Maybe he did have his rep, but he loved me. It's not like he had ever, ever cheated on me. Two-Bit didn't answer. He couldn't. He didn't have any reason at all not to like him.

"You can't protect me forever," I yelled at him, still fired up. Dally put a hand on my shoulder.

"Well, I'm right, aren't I?" I demanded. Dally didn't answer me either. I could tell he didn't want to make this situation worse. No matter what, he didn't want to lose his friends.

"Look, Two-Bit," I said, staring him straight in the eye. "You owe Dallas and I both a huge apology. You're my brother, and that ain't gonna change, but I'm tired of this bullshit! You can't run my life. I'm happy, so shouldn't you be too?" Two-Bit sighed. I could tell Dally was proud of me for standing up for myself by the way he hugged my waist.

"You're right," Two-Bit said. Not what I was expecting at all. I let a small smile crack, but nothing else. I wanted that apology. What he had said hurt.

"I'm sorry, Makenna. And I'm sorry to you too, Dal. You ain't a bad guy. Just don't get my sister pregnant please," he joked. Badly. I was still happy, though. I ran up and gave him a huge hug.

"Thank you, Two-Bit. Does that mean you accept us now?" I asked. He shrugged. I could tell he still wasn't thrilled.

"Hey, you're still wearing his ring on your neck," he remarked, completely dodging my question. I laughed. It just seemed funny now.

"You haven't noticed that I never take it off?" I asked. He laughed.

"Oh yeah. Hey, Makenna, you want a beer?" I smiled.

"Yeah, order another for Dally too." And he did. After 10 years of us dating, Two-Bit had finally accepted us.
