Darry: Dallas when did you date my sister?!

Pony: A year...

Soda: Pony how do you know?!

Pony: Two told me last year when he caught them kissing. I asked Lynn and she made me promise not to tell.

Soda: I still can't believe she'd date someone like you Dallas! We've given her many warnings!

Dallas: I know I'm no good for her man but she's different...

Darry: How?!

Dallas: I don't know she just is

Soda: You must be taken advantage of her or something cause no offense but you aren't her type!

Dallas: Yeah I know I don't deserve her but she makes me happy.

Darry: You've cheated on her haven't you?

Dallas: What no! Never!

Soda: I don't want him dating her Darry

Darry: I don't either. Pony?

Pony: I don't care. I just think Lynn should be happy you know.

Dallas: Where's this going?

Darry: You're breaking up with her. Tonight. If not in person in text. We don't want you dating her.

Dallas: Darrel I fucking love her alright!

Soda: So? You could just be saying that!

Darry: I don't want you around my little sister. You can't look at her talk to touch her. If you do any of these this and I find out you're dead.

Dallas: Darry I promise I'll be good to her. I can't break up with her I just can't.

Soda: Why not huh?

Dallas: Tomorrow's our two year anniversary...I was gonna take her to the beach...

Darry: I don't care. If you don't break up with her today you're doing it tomorrow.

~Dallas left the chat~

Pony: WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU SAY THAT?!

Soda: What's up with you

Pony: God! You can't see he cares?! Did you even read what he said when he said tomorrow is their 2-year mark?

Darry: Yeah we did little buddy

Pony: Don't little buddy me! He obviously cares because he never even remembered the day he and Sylvia got together! He even said he loves her and we all know he hasn't said that in forever! I don't even think he said it to Johnny and he cares about Johnny!

Darry: We don't care Pony. He's gonna break up with her.

Pony: Unbelievable...

[Later on that night]

Lynn was finishing up her job as a waitress at Bucks and she looked at the time. It was 5:00 she could soon go home. She smiled to herself and pulled out her phone texting Dallas.

Hey, Texas I'll see you soon.

She sent the message and saw Dally walk in. She walked up to him and gave him a kiss.

"Hey, Texas how was your day?" she asked playing with his hair.

"It was okay" he mumbled. He couldn't break her heart it hurt him too much.

"Tired?" she asked looking up at him and he nodded.

He started walking away and stopped in his tracks.

"Caitlyn," he said seriously.

"Yes?" she asked with a bit of confusion.

"I love you," he said without hesitation.

"I love you too," she said smiling and walked out.

Dallas stood there and Buck could see the sadness in his eyes.

"Closing up everyone out!" Buck yelled and everyone cleared the room.

Once everyone was gone Dally sat on the stool and Buck gave him a glass of beer.

"What's up?" he asked him.

"I have to break up with Lynn...I don't want to..." he said looking down.

"Then why are you doing it in the first place?" he asked raising a brow.

"Darry's making me" he mumbled and Buck nodded.

Meanwhile, at the Curtis's household Lynn walked in smiling.

"Lynn, you alright?" Pony asked carefully because he knew what was about to happen tonight and he could do nothing about it.

"Fantastic Pony!" she yelled happily.

Soda and Darry came out from the kitchen and saw she was happy.

"What's up?" Soda asked trying to keep in the hate he had from Dallas.

"Guys I need to tell you something," she said with a smile.

"What?" they replied in unison.

"Dal and I are dating I know, please don't be mad but he just told me he loves me today! Isn't that amazing?!" she said happily.

"Yeah, just great," Soda said and walked out.

"I'm gonna go visit Dal is that alright Dar?" she asked smiling with hope.

"Yeah go ahead," he said still upset with the fact they weren't broken up.

Lynn walked to Bucks and saw Dally drinking with a tear-stained face. She was confused and sat next to him wrapping her arms around him.

"Texas are you alright?" she asked holding his hands and he nodded.

She rested her head on his shoulder smiling.

"You make me happy you know that?" she whispered and he nodded.

"Angel...can you stay the night?" he asked and Lynn looked up and kissed him.

"Yeah let me call Dar. I told him about us. He seemed cool about it" she said and got off the stool going to the phone.

Buck looked at him and Dally shrugged. He loves this girl so much and he had to figure out a way to break her heart. He didn't want to but he has to listen to her brothers. It's probably for the best anyways he thought. She came back down and sat into his lap.

"What did Darry say?" Buck asked breaking the awkwardness.

"Said it was fine. Just come back tomorrow whenever. He didn't really care" she said with smiling.

"Wanna go to sleep?" she asked and Dally nodded.

They walked up the stairs and laid in bed. Lynn laid close to him and kissed his jaw resting her head in the crook of his neck.

"Night Tex," she said quietly closing her eyes.

"Night Angel" he mumbled and ran his fingers through her hair falling asleep holding her close.

The next day Lynn woke up happier than ever. Today was their 2-year anniversary. Dally woke up and looked depressed. She started to worry about what might happen.

"Dallas" she whispered and he faced her.

"I cheated on you," he said plainly.

She laid there frozen and her heart shattered.

"What?" she choked out.

"I cheated on you...multiple times," he said again and Lynn got up and backed away slowly.

"What?! For how long?!" she screamed.

"Mostly everyday the whole time we were together. Every night you weren't with me I was with Sylvia" he lied.

"How could you?! I loved you!" she screamed hitting him.

"I HATE YOU I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" she yelled and ran out throwing the bracelet he gave her for her birthday at him.

Dally stood there letting her go. It broke his heart to lie but he knew it had to be done. He sat in his bed and cried. Cried the whole day away.

When Lynn reached her house she ran inside her room and slammed her door falling to the floor in tears. Suddenly there was a knock.

"W-what?!" she spat.

"It's Pony," he said and she opened the door slowly.

"What's wrong?" he asked been though he knew the answer.

"D-Dallas he he he b-broke-" she started to stutter and Pony hugged her.

"What happened?" he asked.

"H-he cheated on me...the whole relationship...why did he have to end it today? It's our 2-year anniversary...I-I thought it was going well...He said he loves me. I believed him" she said looking up at him with tears.

"It will be okay," he said softly and confronted her even though he knew it was wrong.

She soon fell asleep and he left after tucking her in. He walked out to see Dally sitting on the couch. He looked at the time it was 12 am.

"Why'd you lie?" he asked Dally.

"I wanted her to hate me. If she hates me it will be easier to stop loving her..." he said quietly.

"You love her don't you?" he asked and he nodded.

"I wanted to marry her next year. I was planning it already but I have everything set I just thought it was too soon so I decided just to take her to the beach. I love her Pony...I never felt like this before..." he said and Pony nodded.

[A week later]

It's been a week since Dally has been at the Curtis's place. Lynn has constantly moved from guy to guy trying to figure out where she went wrong. She changed herself in the past week trying to fix whatever Dallas apparently didn't want. Darry and Soda we're perfectly fine with this somehow but Pony? He was distraught. He loves his sister because she's always there. When Cherry refused him she was there. Lynn walked into the house with her heavy makeup and greased hair. She looked different and Pony hated it. He just wanted his sister back.

She sat on the couch and lit a cigarette. She never smoked before.

"Lynn put that out" Darry snapped and she rolled her eyes not caring. Darry gave up after a while knowing he couldn't do anything about it but that wasn't true and Pony knew that.

It's been a week since they've seen Dallas too and when he walked in the whole gang couldn't believe it. He looked at Lynn and his eyes widened and his heart broke. She just rolled her eyes and went to her room. Dallas he changed too. He got smaller and drunk every single day but for some reason, no one cared. Pony sat there seeing the changes between his sister and his friend. He had enough he snapped.

He ran into Lynn's room and pulled her out sitting her next to Dallas. She moved away and took out another cigarette but Pony took it throwing it in the trash.

"Hey! Po-" she spat but he interrupted her when he saw Darry and Soda walk in.

"HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?!" he yelled at them pointing at the broken Dallas and Lynn.

"He cheated. There's nothing you can do" Lynn spat getting up.

"NO! No, he didn't cause Dallas fucking loves you! Darry and Soda found out because Two-shit wanted to run his mouth and tell! And because of that Dallas was forced to break up with you! He never wanted to and he wanted to say the words I love you to put something good in this disaster so stop! FUCKING STOP THIS SHIT AND GET BACK TOGETHER BECAUSE YOU LOVE EACH OTHER!" he screamed and everyone looked at him in shock.

"If you're gonna play into the game your "brothers" set up then do it but I can't take it. I miss my sister and Dally looks like he's trying to kill himself. But wanna know what? Let's find out" he said and grabbed Dally's arm rolling up his sleeve harshly to reveal multiple scars.

"See...he misses you," Pony said and walked out still leaving the gang in shock.

"Is that true?" Lynn asked breaking the silence.

"Did you lie just to make my brothers happy?"

"No...I did cheat on you Lynn" Dally said quietly and then they heard multiple thuds outside.

They looked out the window to see Pony throwing bricks. He was angry. Soda and Darry decided to come clean.

"We did tell Dal to break up with you..." Darry said and it caught Lynn off guard.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" she screamed and hit them both across the face and ran out to Pony who threw a brick and almost hit her.

"Woah Pony it's me," she said smiling.

"I'm sorry I just can't stand it. You two love each other but Darry and Soda were dumb and wanted to ruin that. You didn't deserve that..." he said and she nodded.

"I'm gonna talk to Dally...can you get him?" she asked and he nodded.

Soon Dally came out and looked down sadly. He couldn't look at her. She looked at his wrists and ran her fingers across the scars and then saw a bracelet also on his wrist. It was the one he got for her on her birthday. She kissed his wrists and hugged him.

"I love you," she said crying softly.

"But I cheated on you..." he said pushing me off.

"Stop I'm done with this. I know what happened and I know you love me" she said holding his hand.

"Lynn I hurt you. I want you to move on" he said walking away.

She ran over to him and kissed him.

"I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you!" she said not letting go.

"I'm not that strong Dallas please...please stay. I know the truth" she said trying to get him back.

"Your brothers don't want me dating you," he said silently.

"Sodapop! Darrel! Get your asses out here!" she screamed and the ran out.

"Dallas you can date her. We're sorry we were just scared of what would happen if you broke up. We made that mistake" Darry said and Lynn smiled. Soda still stood there upset.

"I guess you can date her...but if you hurt her I'll kill you!" he spat and Dally and Lynn chuckled.

Right then and there Dallas and Lynn got back together and were happy. No one ever got in their way after that day.
