It was just me and Brooke sitting at The Curtis place. Everyone was out and I was sitting on the couch thinking about if I should tell Soda or not.

"Something wrong?" Brooke asked and I nodded slowly.

"I'm pregnate" I whispered and she nodded.

"Soda will be happy you know" she smiled and I shrugged.

"Should I tell him?"

"When he comes home" she replied smiling.

"Okay," I whispered quietly.

Moments later Soda and the rest of the guys came back laughing and talking. Well, I might as well do it now.

"Soda, I need to tell you something. Along with the rest of you," I announced and they nodded. Oh God...here I go.

Sodapop
Madi said she had an announcement for all of us. I couldn't help but wonder. She had this look of worry on her face and it scared me. Was I gonna lose her...(Yes asshole)

She walked up to me and looked down. She was messing with the hem of her shirt. She was nervous.

"Uh well...I'm pregnant," she said with a small smile and looked up at me.

The gang were smiling and congratulating me but I couldn't believe it.

"You fucking cheated on me?!" I snapped and I saw her smile drop.

"What?"

"You cheated on me and got pregnant with another guy! Tell me was it a Soc?!" I yelled at her and I could see she was about to cry but I didn't care.

"You're a fucking slut! Just like Sandy!" I yelled and pushed her into the wall.

She hit the wall and fell to the ground. Everyone then looked at me with anger. Especially Brooke. Madi got up and I saw tears in her eyes. She reached up to her head and looked at her fingers. We all saw the blood on her fingertips.

"M-" I started but she ran out quickly.

What did I do?

After she left Brooke looked at me and slapped me across the face. Hard. Hard enough to draw blood.

"You're such an idiot! Why would you say that?!" she screamed and slapped me again.

She was about to attack me again when Dally held her back whispering to her.

"You just lost the one person who loved you no matter who you are. You just lost the best thing that happened to you. I hope you know no matter what you lost your fucking child" she spat and Dal pulled her away.

"Soda, she'll be back," Johnny said to me quietly but I shook my head.

"I messed up bad..."

Madi
I ran home and started packing. I'm gonna leave this hell hole. I'm gonna leave somewhere people will love me. Somewhere where my baby and I could be happy...somewhere far from here. I didn't know where I was going but all I know is somewhere away from here.

~12 years later~

Madi
12 years later I'm now more than happy with my 12-year-old daughter Kayleigh. Her full name is Kayleigh Shay Curtis. Yeah, Curtis...why I don't know. Maybe I still loved him but that's 12 years ago. Forget it.

Kayleigh came down the stairs with a sad expression. It hurt me because she looked so much like Soda.

"You okay?"

"No mom, people are making fun of the fact I don't know my dad. What happened to him?" she asked and I froze.

"Kayleigh, that's not important..."

"Yes it is!" she yelled at me and I started to cry.

"Mom...what's wrong?" she asked with concern.

"N-nothing sweetie...get a bag ready. We're gonna visit your father" I said and I saw a smile spread across her face. She immediately ran up the stairs while I headed for the phone. Quickly I called the one person I knew would never change their number...Brooke.

"Hello?" I heard a voice say. It wasn't Brooke's.

"Um is Brooklyn Curtis there?" I asked and it was silent for a moment. All I could hear was steady breathing.

"Hello?"

"Um why are you looking for my mom?" she said and I chuckled.

"Is your Dad Dallas?" I asked and I heard a small chuckle.

"Who wants to know?" she replied and I knew it was their kid.

"I need to talk to your mom. Tell her its Mads" I said with a small smile.

Soon someone else answered the phone.

"Sorry, Lexi must've left the phone on. Did you need something?" someone asked and I recognized that voice.

"You and Brooke got busy huh?" I laughed.

"Wow Madi...still your crazy self huh," he said then I heard a thud.

"OH MY GOD MADI?!" Brooke yelled into my ear.

"OH MY GOD YOU'RE STILL LOUD!" I yelled back and she laughed.

"Why are you calling?" she asked and I shook my head.

"I uh...I'm coming back...is Soda still there?" I asked kinda wishing he was and wasn't.

"Yeah but Madi...he fought in the war. He's still himself but he's still...different" she said and I couldn't help but feel bad.

"Alright...we'll be there in a few hours," I said and hung up.

Kayleigh
I was so excited! I couldn't wait to finally meet my dad. I wonder what he's like? Is he mean? Nice? Rude? God the possibilities are never ending! (Haha small reference. Does anyone get it?)

"Mom! How much longer!" I asked impatiently.

"20 minutes" she replied and I laughed happily.

20 minutes later we arrived in a small place called Tulsa Oklahoma. The house we pulled up to was small. Before my mom could stop the car I jumped out and ran inside the house ignoring the yells of my mother. I ran in and saw a bunch of people looking back at me. Seven guys and two girls.

"Who is she?" one of the girls asked.

"Did you run in without your mom?" the other one asked with a small laugh.

"Yeah," I said rubbing the back of my neck in embarrassment. I probably had a faint blush on my face too.

"Wow Soda, she really is like you" the girl laughed and I saw one of the guys looked at me. He had a sad look in his eyes and he got up walking away.

"Soda!" one of the guys yelled and I walked out. My own father didn't wanna see me.

I ran into my mom and she looked at me and I could see the anger in her eyes.

"Why are you crying?" she asked nicely but also had a bit of anger in her tone.

"Dad didn't even want to see me..." I said and she shook her head grabbing my arm and dragged me into the house again.

Sodapop
I couldn't do it. She looked so much like Madi. I didn't want to get attached so I went into my room and cried. I messed up so so much. I lost Madi and worst of all 12 years of my own daughter's life. All because I was so damn scared. I sat there on my bed shaking my head. Why just why?!

Then there was a knock.

"Brooke...go away" I snapped and then I heard a loud bang on the door. It was an angry knock.

"Go away" I snapped again and the door was kicked down. I saw her...I saw Madi.

"You better have a good damn reason to make my daughter cry!" she yelled in my face and the way she said it broke my heart. She said my not our...

"Tell me now!" she yelled and was about to attack me when she walked in. Our daughter.

"Mom, I'm fine...stop," she said quietly and Madi shook her head.

"No! I'm not leaving until he gets it through his head that no one messes with you! You're my daughter and no one makes you upset!" she snapped.

"Mom! Just shut up!" she screamed out and the room was filled with silence.

Madi
Kayleigh just yelled at me. Her own mother. Of course, I wasn't mad at her just Soda.

"Mom, leave us alone, please. I wanna talk to him" she said quietly and I nodded.

I walked out to see Brooke on the couch. Well, now is the time to make up the lost years...fun.

Sodapop
I sat there and saw my daughter looking right at me. Oh, God.

"Why did you leave?" she asked sadly.

"I didn't...I made a dumb mistake" I said and she nodded slightly.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Kayleigh Shay Curtis" she smiled lightly.

"Your mother named you Curtis?" I asked confused. She just nodded.

"Why weren't you there for my mom? She's your wife? Isn't she?" she asked and I froze.

"I uh...I was going to marry her but uh...I messed up badly..." I said and she nodded.

"What did you do?"

"I hurt her...I hurt you mom and I regretted it and I still do. I love her a lot but 12 years ago she stopped loving me. I don't blame her its just...when I saw you-you look so much like her it broke my heart. I missed you growing up all because I was dumb. I did what I did because I couldn't believe it. Couldn't believe she was happy with me. Couldn't believe she wanted me. Your mom...she could get anything she ever wanted but for some reason threw that away for me. I love her and God help me cause I'll never stop. I miss her like crazy too and God you act so much like her it drives me insane...I lost the one girl that means the most to me but that day I also lost you. The daughter I never got to see grow up. All over my big mistake." I said and started to cry.

"Why don't you tell her this?" she asked me and I shrugged.

"She wouldn't believe me," I said sadly.

"You're right. I wouldn't" I heard a voice bitterly say. I looked up and saw it belonged to Madi. I knew it.

She walked out and Kayleigh looked at me.

"You aren't gonna go after her?!" she snapped and I shrugged.

"She doesn't love me, sweetie. There isn't anything I can do to change that" I smiled fakely and kissed her head.

"I love your mom and I messed up with her but I'm not going to with you. I love you. Don't forget that" I smiled and she nodded.

Hours and hours went by and I couldn't take it. I walked out and grabbed Madi's arm and dragged her outside. I pushed her against the house and kissed her. She pushed me away quickly and slapped me.

"I don't love you! Get that through your head!" she yelled and tried to go but I grabbed her arm again and held her against me. Her back was against me and I held out my wrists for her to see.

"I'm sorry Madi. I really am. I regret what I did that day and I did this to try to relieve the stress. It was dumb but I did it and its done. I love you I really do and to be honest I was scared of losing you but it ended up with me losing you anyways. I didn't mean to hurt you and I fell apart. My own family despised me and really Brooke just recently forgave me. I enlisted into the war to see if that would kill me because if not I probably would've killed myself. I can't live without you and I'm done running. I'm so so so done. Please, I'm asking I'm begging come back. I understand if you don't want to but if not can we be friends? That's okay too I guess. Just I love you don't forget that" I said to her and kissed the spot where I hurt her so many years ago.

Madi
He tried apologizing and I still loved him. Why? Why did this happen to me?

"I loved you Soda and I still do but I just don't know. I don't know why you did what you did but I'm just happy you stopped. I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. Maybe I'm not the one for you" I said and he shook his head and started to cry.

"I love you! I love you so so damn much! I know I said friends would be okay but it's not! I want to hold you and to love you! I want everything to be alright! I can't live without you!" he basically yelled and let go of me.

"I-I'm so sorry..." he mumbled and started walking away.

I ran over to him and hugged him.

"I do want you back Soda. I do miss you and I'm sorry it's just this is all my fault!" I cried.

"No, it's not. I shouldn't have hurt you"

"I left"

"Forget that. Forget everything. Forget what happened in the past and let's work on building a better future. For you, for me, and for Kayleigh" he smiled and I nodded.

"Okay. But..what are we?" I asked and a smile spread across his face.

He turned to look at me and got down on one knee.

"Well, I hope we can be husband and wife. Will you marry me Madison Marie Turner?"

"Yes!"

The next month Soda and I were married. We now live in Tulsa in our own house in the middle class. Kayleigh and Lexi became best friends. Just like Brooke and I. Now honestly I couldn't be any happier. I'd like to think this was all because of Kayleigh. If it wasn't for her I don't think I would've ever came back. But now I'm more than glad I did because I love him and I love my family.
