Alyssa had met Dallas Winston when he had joined the gang, they were both thirteen. Alyssa is a Curtis, baby sister of Darry and big sister of Soda and Pony. On the day they meet, Dallas was just a lonely new kid alone in the park.

                    Past
Alyssa was at the park with the gang, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis were there too. Mrs. Curtis playing with her daughter's hair while her husband played football​ with the boys. Alyssa had seen a boy about her age sitting alone looking tough and staring at the gang like he wished he could play with them. So Alyssa told her mother who called Darry over.

"Hunny. Go ask that boy over there to play with you guys" Mrs. Curtis told her son.

Who would have thought that Dallas became part of the gang by Alyssa noticing him at the park.

Now four years had past and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis had been gone for a few months. Alyssa had also found her self crushing on Dally. Darry knew this and tried to help his sister with her crush, but at the same time skeptical because he doesn't want her heart to get broke. But what he and Aylsaa didn't know is that Dally likes her too.

It was a cool fall day.

"Hey Alyssa" Dallas called walking to her her "In like you. Let's go to The Dingo".

That's how the lovely Dallas Winston had asked her out. But throughout the date he was a gentleman, he payed, held her hand as they walked through town, and kissed her cheek goodnight after he left the Curtis house later that night.

Who would have thought that just four years ago, Alyssa met the love of her life.
