The morning light shine the curtains. Y/N smiled as she remembered the night she shared with her boyfriend Curly Shepard. Last night they went to the drive-in​ and had their first kiss. The knock at her bedroom door reminded her of how badly she wanted to tell her brother Darry, Soda, and Pony about her dating Curly, but she is scared of how they'd react.

"Who is it? What do you want?" Y/N asked.

"Darry. Breakfast is done" Darry replied "By the way I know about you and Curly".

Oh shoot!

When Y/N went out into the kitchen, she saw her three brothers at the table, Darry drinking coffee and the other two drinking chocolate milk. Y/N took a deep breath as she sat down.

"Y/N Curtis, care to explain" Darry asked sounding a little angry.

"Hold in Darry, let's just not assume things yet. They could be friends" Soda told Darry.

"We're not friends, we're dating" Y/N spoke up.

"What?" Darry yelled.

"What's the big deal?" Y/N asked "I know that he's Tim's little brother, and he gets in trouble a lot. But I like him".

"Like?" Pony asked.

"I'm not ready to say love. We had our first kiss and it's been two months, and he respects that" Y/N explained.

"The only thing Curly respects is his reputation" Darry said.

"Again hold on. Maybe Y/N could invite him over for dinner and we can find out his intentions with her" Soda suggested "But Y/N, why didn't you tell us that you're dating him?".

"I was scared of how'd you would react" Y/N said walking out of the house not wanting to deal with her older brothers yelling.

"Y/N get back here" Darry called sound a little calm

"Just let her calm down" Pony spoke.

Y/N made her way to the park, when she got to the swings some socs pulled up in a blue mustang and all got out, it was four of them, they walked up to her.

"Hey grease" Bin smeared.

"Leave me alone please" Y/N begged.

"That's cute, little greasy girl wants us to leave her alone" Randy laughed as he leaves at her.

Y/N tried to scream but the stuffed her mouth with some dirty cloth. Punches and kicks kept coming her way, she cursed at herself as she forgot her switch blade.

"Get away from her" Curly familiar​ voice filled her ears.

Curly chased off the socs with his blade and threats. Once he was done he ran back to Y/N and held her in his arms looking at her injuries.

"Can you walk" he asked.

"I don't think so. I'm feeling dizzy" Y/N replied.

Curly picked her up in his arms and started to carry her to her house, since it was closer than his. On the way Y/N told him that her brothers know about them through her tears of pain. As Curly carried her in, Darry stood up from his chair.

"What happened​?" He asked with fear in both his voice and eyes.

"She got jumped. Don't worry I got them back" Curly explained

"Pony, get the first aid kit" he yelled to Pony then turned to Curly "Where's all if her injuries?"

"Her face, there's some on her stomach and she's feeling dizzy" Curly explained laying her on the couch.

Y/N woke all cleaned up and feeling better, she realized that her brown were talking to Curly in the kitchen, so she started to listen in on their conversation.

"Thank you fro saving her" Soda thanked.

"No problem" Curly welcomed.

"Are you happy dating my sister?" Darry asked "will you respect her?"

"Yes I'm happy with your sister, and of course I'll treat her with all of the respect she deserves" Curly replied.

"Ok. I'm still going to hurt you if you ever hurt her" Darry threatened with Pony and Soda agreeing.

"I promise I won't. A girl like her needs to be week protected" promised Curly.

Y/N smiled to herself as she knew it would be ok now and that her brothers respect her decision in dating Curly
