As soon I heard a gunshot fired from behind us, my eyes immediately widened as my instincts quickly flowed through out my body.

With my fast reflexes, I was able to grab Rarity's hand and pull her into cover, grabbing my gun from my holster afterwards.

"Take cover, Rarity!" I yelled to my lover before looking back up to fire back.

I saw that the remaining two men ran into different sides and took cover. But something is still bothering me which made me duck back down with Rarity.

Depending from where the gunshot was heard, it seemed to be fired right behind us. But when I looked around at our back, my eyes widened in shock when I saw there was no one there.

But this part of the district is deadly, especially for us lowlifes. Its no surprise if there's snipers above or surrounding us.

We can still hear the two men yelling at each other as they repeatedly fired their gun in our direction, barely missing the metal cover we were taking cover in.

I just kept staring into my lover's diamond eyes while I ready my gun at my side. Rarity on the other hand kept covering her ears from all the loud gunshots.

But I know I cant just do this any longer. Heck, they might even ambush us in different sides and tackle us if we don't strike now.

Lucky for us, we basically got the hang of these type of situations during some of our cargo missions.

I wasn't always the cowardly type when it comes to a shoot out like this but my main priority is to get Rarity safe.

Even though she's an excellent assassin since Sunset thought her, she was likely to be best at stealth missions unlike this.

I smirked and cupped Rarity's cheeks. "Get the other one, will ya Rare?"

She slowly nodded her head in agreement before looking around our surroundings. I then slowly peeked on top and saw the two men were still firing their pistols at us.

But when I heard their guns made a cocking noise, I let out a soft smile as adrenaline rushed all over my body.

"D-Damn it Im out of bullets!" One of them gasped in a panicking tone.

Finally, I immediately took the chance and ran to my right, leaping down to drift onto the ground before firing my gun twice in the man's direction.

Before the man could even react and shoot me back, one of my bullets quickly grazed the side of his cheeks, missing my shot just by few inch.

But it wasn't long when my second bullet fired which went directly through his head, sending him to fall straight down. Dead.

I then quickly got back to my feet and faced his shocked partner who was unable to reload his gun because both his hands were shaking way too much.

Giggling, I slowly approached the man while pointing my gun at him. For me this type of situations only scare us at first but if we get to know the situation even more, me and Rarity will strike by our own ways.

His other friend screamed at the sight and pointed his empty gun at me, taking a few steps back while his body was trembling in fear.

I just chuckled and placed my gun back to my holster, tipping my hat at him afterwards.

"S-stop.. Don't you dare take another step or I'll shoot you!" The man yelled back in a broken voice after he finally placed a new filled magazine in his pistol.

"No need to shoot partner." I started, raising my hands into the air. "We just want to know where Feather Bang is."

"Like hell if I- ACK!"

The man suddenly gasped and let out a scream out of pain before falling down to the ground. And there I saw Rarity behind him with a bloody pocket in her knife.

I just chuckled softly s I watched the man crawl slowly crawling back to the gate, still holding the part where Rarity stabbed him.

His blood was now spreading underneath him, reaching up to Rarity's shoes which made her gasp in slight disgust and ran back to me.

"Ew!" She squealed as soon she pulled me closer to her. "B-blood!"

"Of course there's blood, Rarity. You just stabbed him." I chucked while walking towards the poor man.

Aside from his jacket's logo, his gun also had Feather Bang's mark which was a single feather and two hearts beside it.

The man was still desperately crawling away, still groaning and screaming in pain.

If there's something that changed me throughout this year, its my attitude towards others. Its true I became a cold blooded murderer when I defended my team from those Shadow bolts who ambushed us last week.

But this is survival of the fittest. All that matters to me is my girlfriend and my team.

So without any hesitation, I quickly pulled Rarity by her waist and leaned closer for a deep kiss while pointing a gun at the man's head.

"N-no please.. I have a fami-"

"B A N G !"

And just like that, I finally shot him without even looking at him, pulling away from our kiss to look at him.

Rarity eventually gasped at the loud sound but that didn't stopped her from kissing back, wrapping her arms around me.

It seems like I shot him directly at his forehead, by luck of course because I wasn't even looking.

"You had a knife this all time?" I asked her while raising an eyebrow.

"Of course, Im the stealthy type remember." She answered after pulling away from me to look at the dead man beside us.

I chuckled and faced the next gate. "You know.. you could have used that when I was attacked by that Mutant earlier."

"Hmp! I was panicking that time!"

"Well I almost got bitten because of you." I scoffed after placing my gun back to my holster. "Luckily that Rainbow haired stranger was kind enough to help us..'

Rarity groaned and wiped the blood stains on her sharp knife. "Can you stop bringing that stranger up?

"I can't help mah self Rare, there's somethig strange about that girl and we need to find her." I answered.

"We don't even know her, Applejack! Why do you want to meet her that bad?" She asked, almost shouting at me.

I just stayed silent, not even aware that my cheeks were slightly reddened as this same feeling came up to my chest.

It was the feeling when I first looked into that stranger's magenta eyes. Even if that's our first time meeting, something in her made something spark in my soul.

Aside from Rarity's protection, my other main priority was to find and know that girl. Heck, she might be a killer or bandit but I really want to know her true identity.

I wonder why did that girl helped us back there? Our world that we live in know made the rest of humanity heartless and greedy among supplies.

But that girl saved me.. And gave me a box of high velocity bullets. I guess there is still good left in this hell hole of a world.

My thoughts then suddenly disappeared when I heard Rarity snapping her fingers in front of me, making me return back my attention to her and now to the Rainbow haired stranger.

"Darling? You just froze up just now.." She worriedly said.

I scoffed, forcing a weak smile at her after. "Oh I was just thinking about somethin' sugarcube.. What was your question?" I asked again before slowly walking to the next gate near us.

"Why do you wanna meet that girl so bad? I noticed that its bothering you for quite a while now." My girlfriend answered after she placed her pocket knife into her bag's pocket.

"Like I said before, she might lead us to Feather Bangs."

"But you still act strange whenever you think of her." Rarity muttered silently.

I looked back at her. "Huh, what do you mean?"

"Never mind." my lover started. "Anyways, you became heartless since we did that mission in the past, you should have spared him."

"This is every man for themselves, Rarity." I replied, bending down to the gate to lift it up. "Mind helping me?"

Instead of replying, Rarity just gave me that fake smile of hers before bending down to help me lift it up.

"On 3. 1, 2, 3!" I counted as I slowly lifted the Gate with her help. "Go, go.."

Rarity then nodded in agreement and let go off the gate to crawl underneath while I hold the gate to make a small space for us.

When Rarity finally got to the other side, She immediately held the gate up for me to get out.

As soon I got outside, I slowly grabbed the gate and gently placed it back down without making any loud noise.

Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice near us which made me and Rarity's eyes widen.

With my quick instincts I quickly pulled My lover onto the side and covered her mouth to make her silent.

"Shhh.. Stay silent.." I whispered before looking to the side.

Rarity slapped my hand away then look back at me. "W-why?"

"Shh.. Its feather Bangs."
