After me and Rarity heard something move in the distance, I immediately grabbed her hand and pulled my lover closer to me.

Aside from my body flinching in shock at the sudden noise, I also stepped in front of Rarity to make her hide behind me, grabbing my gun from my holster afterwards.

My girlfriend on the other hand started to giggle softly as she placed both her hands on my waist which made me look back into her diamond eyes, still in my protective stance of course.

"Don't worry to much Applejack, its probably just a raccoon." She giggled after making me lower my gun.

"Y-you don't know that Rarity, maybe its one of em' infected people.."

"But we cleared this section already Darling, theres no zombies anymore."

"I.. Your right, just wanna protect my baby girl." I replied in a weak smile before placing my hand on her chin. "Just stay behind me okay?"

She giggled and leaned closer."Hmp, your fast protective reflexes are still there huh? I remember the time you rushed in into the scene just to protect me from those boys back at highschool."

"Yeah I remember, and I also remember the time I threw that fancy pants asshole into the streets when he tried to make a move on ya." I chuckled before pulling my girlfriend into a kiss, causing her cheeks to reddened.

"Heh, I never liked him anyways. No need to be jealous about it." She replied in a grumpy tone in her voice.

"I know but Im just trying to protect you." I started, placing my gun back to my holster. "We should probably stop talking.. that noise we heard is g-" I was cut off when we both heard the same noise over at the bush.

With my uncontrollable instincts, I quickly grabbed my gun again and pointed it to the direction of the sound before covering Rarity's way.

"Stay back Rarity!" I yelled, removing the safety pin on my gun.

" But darling maybe it was just a-"

"Shh.. Im going in." I interrupted as I slowly take a step towards the bush. "I think it came over here."

But before I could take my third step forwards, I immediately turned around and fired my gun, barely missing Rarity's head in the progress which made her gasp and ducked down.

But it wasn't her I was aiming for, instead I shot a man who was raising a knife behind Rarity, pulling my trigger again to send him falling to the ground.

I let out a weak smile as I watched the man struggling to get up while his blood drips on the ground. "Got you! Come here Rarity.." I growled.

After Rarity ran up to me in a state of panic, she quickly grabbed her pocket knife and did her defensive stance, still watching the man trying to crawl back into the abandoned apartment.

Without any hesitation, I slowly walked up to him, kneeling down on the grass to grab him by his grey hoodie before make him face me.

And there I saw a grown man with a scar on his face. It was an odd one, sure many strangers tried to sneak up on me and our team to rob or kill us but this man seems familiar.

His scar, I think I've seen them somewhere. I just ignored the fact that he was literally cursing at me because I was to god darn lost at thinking about that weird scar.

Suddenly, all of my thoughts disappeared when I felt a hand on my back, making me look back to see my lover with a worried look.

"T-that was a close one."

"It was.." I started, facing back the man after. "Who the hell are you?!"

"Arg! Let go off me!"

"Answer my question first dumbass! Why are you here?!" I asked again while I took a hold of his grey hoodie.

"You sure did messed with the wrong gals, sir." Rarity added with her nervous yet cute giggle.

"Don't make me ask again, who are you and why are you here?!"

"N-none of your business idiot! F*ck you and your team!" He replied after he managed to strike a punch at my face, causing me to gasp and fall beside him.

The man then quickly took the chance to stand up and ran back inside his base, still struggling and groaning in pain because of the two gunshots I fired.

But it wasn't long until he fell halfway to the entrance's staircase which caused him to let out another painful scream.

As soon I got back to my feet, I grabbed my gun on the side and pointed it directly at his face while a weak grin went up my face.

"No p-please.. Spare me!" He managed to choke out between his groans.

"Don't you ever hurt my girl asshole. This will be a little lesson to you." I smiled after slightly deepening me finger on my gun's trigger.

"YOU SON OF A BITC-"

Before he could even finish sentence, I quickly pulled the trigger and sent a bullet directly into his head, making Rarity scream in slight shock.

After I let out a sigh, I reloaded my gun and placed it back to my holster, turning around to face Rarity behind me.

"No one messes with my girl." I chuckled before pulling her into my arms. "You okay sugarcube? Did he hurt ya?"

"N-no.. Im still in shock, that's all." She answered, hugging me back after. "Next time, a little warning please?"

"Sorry bout that. You must know by now that your majestic girlfriend has fast reflexes when it comes to instincts."

"Like in bed? When I placed two of my fingers inside yo-"

"OKAY MOVING ON!" I Nervously interrupted after I grabbed her hand to lead her away, going back to our planned tracks. "You should never bring that thing up, okay Rares?" I giggled.

"Oh shush you, you shot that man dead so he couldn't possibly hear us."

"Ah know but.. don't you think he's not the only one watching or stalking us?"

"I.. Stop scaring me, Applejack!" My lover squealed after pulling her closer to me.

"Im just kiddin' with ya. But I aint entirely sure though."

"That doesn't help at all!"

"Sorry okay? Lets just hurry up. Where's the entrance again?"

"Its in that huge whole that leads inside the room." She answered, flicking up her finger to point at the broken wall at the building. "Dont you remember? We used to go take that route.."

"Ah do but.. I somehow can't think straight."

"Is it because of that man?"

"No? Maybe.. I dont know sugarcube, he had this scar on his face and its familiar to me, I think."

"Maybe he just got scratched by a cat or something." She laughed while making her way to the broken wall. "Come give me a boost up Darling?"

I chuckled and arched an eyebrow at my lover. "Heh, that wall is way too high Rarity. We left a ladder here last week remember?"

"Oh right the ladder, where is it again?"

"I'll go find it." I replied, roaming around the place afterwards.

For some reason, I still can't get rid off that vision when I saw the familiar scar at the man's face. I know I saw it before, I can't just recall it.

Not long after, I accidentally stepped on something hard on the grass, making me look down and saw the metal ladder we used last week.

"Oh, I found it!"

"Then bring it over here."

I then grabbed both its edges and slightly lifted it up, dragging it towards the broken wall in the second floor of the store.

"Heres your way up, my lady." I said in a flirtatious tone before leaning the ladder to the wall below it.

"Wow what a gentlema- woman?" Rarity giggled, placing her hand on one of the steps.

"Eh close enough, ladies first."

"Thank you kindly." She replied with her cute smile, climbing up the ladder to after.

"Nice ass sugarcube."

"Oh shut up!" She yelled back while her cheeks slightly reddened at my complement.

After Rarity finally got up into the store, I slowly followed her by climbing the same ladder just like her.

As soon I made it to the top, I saw Rarity hiding behind the desk, covering her mouth to avoid making noises.

I just followed her gaze into the other room, making my eyes widened in pure shock when I saw it.

Theres another creature standing right near us, its head was all bloated up and it's movements were like the infected.

I can see Rarity making a sign with her hand, silently telling me to go up with her.

"S-shh.." She muttered, still in slight terror.

But when I decided to climb into the room..

The infected quickly turns itd attention to us when I accidentally stepped on a stick
